Did you feel it?

We are officially in fall! Now that doesn’t sound right does it?
“We have officially fallen”; sounds more correct, correct? Boy, isn’t the English language crazy? All I was trying to say is that the season has transitioned into another and we are now in autumn, better?
Geez, the first statement made it sound like we were falling from something, but that we said it grammatically incorrect. And the second made that seem that we had fallen, but that is not what we were trying to say at all.
That said; I didn’t feel a thing, did you?
Told you so; fall in Florida has very little affect on our weather, since hurricane season isn’t over until November 30th, which is nearly winter for you all?

Update on Casey the orange longhaired Tabby Cat with amber eyes:
Casey is now in stage four cancer and is considered to be in hospice care, and that is what we are now, a cat hospice.
Merriam Webster Dictionaries definition of hospice is: a facility or program designed to provide a caring environment for meeting the physical and emotional needs of the terminally ill.

We as his people/parents are responsible in making him as comfortable as possible. I was wrong about him getting his second steroid shot the doctor says it was too soon but next week will be two weeks and so then she will give it to him.
At this point we do not know how long he has. He is the sixth four-legged pal that we have had in this fragile state of near death with evidently death eminent since moving here, and these were senior pets and the first was in 1992, Puffy the cat, 13 and a half, Lymphoma, six years after we moved here, and the last was back in 2004, Brandi the Yorkie, nearly 16, heart disease from medication for another problem.

It is terribly exhausting just thinking about all of it, and devastating.
I suppose the people who never have pets have it easier without having life and death issues raise their ugly heads so often. But I always remember the quote, “It is always better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all”. But I suppose that has to do with unrequited love more so than losing a love, but it still applies in the fact that to love is a wonderful emotion even when at times the object/person/critter of your love has only been with you for a short time. The best part about pets is they always return your love it is never unrequited; theirs is unconditional! Anyone who has loved a critter will tell you that.

On that thoughtful expression of clarity I will bid you all a good night and to all be careful, be safe and count your blessings and I will continue to look for mine…
