Nearly electrocuted and an update on cutie boy...

Scary, is the word that comes to mind when I think about what could have happened this morning…for some reason the swimming pool was electrified!
Hubby found out the hard way when he received a slight zapping when cleaning it this morning for me to go in for my thrice a week exercise program. He reported the situation to me, and I was horrified! We had a similar situation when our chain link fence in the backyard had a loose wire make contact with it with some lights that had been strung there; I was the zapped victim that time and extremely upset.
I reminded hubby of that incident and suggested perhaps this previously non electrified swimming pool might also have a loose wire or wiring to the one light in the deep end, and sure enough due to my requiring much chlorine in our pool due to the nearly daily rainfall apparently the stainless screws created this problem by loosening out of their sockets which dissolve with too much of the chemicals….one enormous oops!
Consequently I wasn’t up for exercising in the pool this morning or any until it would be fixed, but hubby solved the problem by disconnecting the light and checking with a meter if there was any surge still in the water; last test, he reassured me was he stuck his hand in the possible widow maker liquid. I am happy to say he is fine and so is the pool!

I used my pool time trying to find a low cost mammography program since I am once again due this year, and received my prescription from my doctor’s appointment on Monday. It was suggested to contact the American Cancer Society as well as Susan G. Komen organization for the cure. Waiting to hear back and hopefully I will find some program that won’t break the bank, but will give me peace of mind in the long run.

By eleven A.M. we had another appointment to take Casey in for his recheck of his tongue wound to make sure it didn’t need irrigation again of foreign matter; this time his food possibly. His tongue was nice and clean doc reported and he also put on some weight too! Looking good, but we still need that biopsy report and his swelling of his left lymph node to go down, which it still hasn’t, but it is early for the penicillin medication to have kicked in, and we are hopeful, but realistic too. Another good thing he is acting more like himself and he did jump on me in my chair to nuzzle me, since he can’t lick, sadly. He also ate quite well today; another entire can of his food is already gone for today!

I will close for this evening and wish you all well, and good night, be safe take care, and count those blessings, and I will try to, too.
