A controversal man of American royalty has lost his final fight

The Liberal Lion has met his maker after a gallant fight for life, Senator Edward Kennedy at the age of 77 passed away last night from his battle of inoperable brain cancer.
Many people have had their feelings expressed and placed online to read the more notable ones that the Associated Press has compiled you can copy and paste this site:

Not knowing the man personally only knowing from the news of his ups and downs in life; he had experienced it all and appeared to use those personal experiences to fight for all people’s welfare in my book, which I am sad to say they may never be another senator quite like him. He was prolific in writing bills for the underdog, and was able to get many of them passed. To me that shows his choice to serve the people as a Senator was the right one for all of Americans, and I thank him for that.

I can remember his time with that scandal of Chappaquiddick Island back in July 18, 1969, I was a nineteen year old when the story broke, and thought why hadn’t he saved the girl, Mary Jo Kopechne, 28, it wasn’t until later that we found out what actually transpired. He made a horrid mistake which no one knows for sure if that would have change the fate of Mary Jo. The only two who really know the truth are both now gone.

Any-who Senator Kennedy helped many people since that horrid day, and if nothing else that is a very good thing for anybody to do. Who among us can say that we were able to help as many people as the liberal lion? And his last wish was for a healthcare reform bill to pass, and my hopes that bipartisan sides will come to a good decision that helps all Americans have excellent health care, not lesser than a third world country who asks for our help that we always seem to find the money to help, but for our own…?

The New York Times obituary is quite extensive on the senator and here is the link: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/27/us/politics/27kennedy.html?_r=1

On the not too lighter side…east coast of our country is getting the double whammy it appears…since Danny, now just a storm may become a category 1 hurricane by the time it skirts the shores of my good old stomping grounds of NJ and NYC! Keep up with your local weather again I will warn, since this is the voice of experience.

Good night to all and to all take care and be safe, and don’t forget to count those blessings and I will too!

Which way will the war go?
