Stormy weather...

La, la, la, la, la, la, la (hum to the Sesame Street song, Sing) stormy weather is pounding us as I write this. So much so that I may have to shut this down, since there is lightening involved in the rip roaring electrical storm, or perhaps it might shut this down on its own! Who knows what lurks in the mind, and I use the term loosely; of a storm?

Save, save, save is what I am doing to not lose these pearls of wisdom that I am configuring for your delight and entertainment.

Rain dancers have been doing a great practically unheard of job on bringing back our rainy season, and I think they all deserve a round of applause! Hip hooray!

The northern realm is receiving the warmth that they also missed for this season, and all is well with nature, or is it?
We are watching the nightly news that tells us that most of the major storms are missing the Gulf-coast and heading towards them as well, slightly unusual but not unknown in the history of such things, but it has been years.
Amnesia has hit the northeasterners since that time has passed long enough ago for most northerners to have forgotten entirely of this similarity to their meteorological past.
Ironically, all those times family and friends that live up there have questioned our sanity for staying here after those two horrendous hurricane years that we had, out of only twenty-three non hurricane years I might add; I feel somewhat vindicated.

School here in the south traditionally starts always in August, and our county's schools started the tenth of August while the surrounding counties started this past Monday. I suppose you are wondering how children could think or accomplish anything in our awful heat, simply put….AIR-CONDITIONING STUPID, even our school buses are air-conditioned and even have seat belts. The south has come a long way….our schools are even integrated…bet you northerners didn’t know that either!!! LOL
Most of our children enjoy getting out of school in May, and thumb up their noses at their northern chums who do go without air-conditioning into the hazy scorching June weather time, hah! But all by law get the same 180 days of classes no matter when it occurs.

Running the gambit from all places for education I do believe that when all is said and done Florida has proved teaching their young and young adults as well is of the utmost importance, as well as having a great football team!
We have the number one university for that claim to fame and our youngest is a grad from there too.
On that search for you to try, but most know of what I am speaking, good luck in finding out if you don’t.

Take care, be safe, good night and count those blessings and I will too!

PS Now I know how pirates managed with single eye vision can do!

PSS The storm did shut this down for nearly an hour with everything else, 2255 customers!

Which way will the war go?
