I have been thinking again...

Uh oh, for me thinking again can be very dangerous, but I would much prefer for you to think that it also might be somewhat thought provoking?

What if we all were veterans of let’s say all our previous wars and also served our country either as fire people or law enforcement persons and received all the benefits that the VA Hospitals provide as well as the education that the GI Bill provides. And that all of our fellow Americans still were unhappy and complained that the government was taking over our rights for personal choice of health care and or college or universities to further our education? Then what? Interesting concept, huh?

But one I wish I could propose to the higher ups in D.C., but of course this is way too controversial for any of us, isn’t it? And we as a total nation of veterans would be way too much of an overwhelming burden to the system.

Imagine the government interfering in your choices like that?
It would be like being a prisoner here in the good ole US of A, right?

How many Americans have traveled abroad I wonder and saw how the other countries handle such things. We all have heard of the good and bad of socialized medicine, but what about countries that mandated higher education under their laws? Are we sure that we are all so well informed with all aspects of how the other halves live?

Our educational system has taken an enormous hit over the last several years compared to other civilized nations in the world I think; now I could be wrong and I have been before, but I believe that we are like sixth on the list of educating our children with respect to concerns in Science and Math testing and that we have proven to have some of the lowest test scores in the world, just shocking!
We also have more than we should in deaths in pregnancy of infants, and I am not talking abortion. I’m talking mothers with prenatal care, and some deaths of mothers at those births too!
Just horrible in this day and age that this could happen, but it still does. This is America; how could this happen you say?
And I bet you don’t believe it, but just put in your search wagon, Infant Mortality in the US? Our rank is 29th, and that is obscene if you ask me.

So for all of you out there happy with your medical system as it stands and our children and grandchildren’s education then I implore you to think again.

We may be what I truly believe to be the greatest nation in the world, and I have travelled a bit, not that extensively only to eight other countries but to me it was great to come home to this warts and all place we all call home.
Let’s just say that even the best of us could use some tweaking and I don’t mean on Twitter, oh that’s right that’s tweeting, what I mean is a fine tuning of what we have and improve on it. No one and nothing is perfect we all can agree on that!

On that note of thought provocation (but that’s just me) I will bid you all a good night and to all be safe and count those blessings and I will too!
