You got to hand it to the old guard...

Thanks to ex-president Bill Clinton and ex-vice president Al Gore we have gotten back two incredible young women journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who were sentenced to 12 years of hard labor in North Korea. Thanks gentlemen we are all in this together, the world that is; great job!

Now if Hilary Clinton, our current Secretary of State, can get them to stop practice shooting those nukes; all will be in the family and well again. I think it can be done! Diplomacy is rampant from that old guard group (as in a group of established prestige and influence). And in my opinion it, diplomacy, should be the only way to get it done in a civilized world in 2009.

Paula Abdul has quit after eight years of being a judge on American Idol due to contract negotiations failing. She was offered much less than her male counterparts…in 2009, what’s up with that? I don’t blame her for quitting; what an insult!

Tuesday, Louisville Kentucky was floating away by an unexpected deluge of rain in one hour of six inches, but today the water has thankfully receded.

Today, I kept my promise to me, and again ventured into our pool and did my ROM exercises, range of motion, for over an hour with a shrivel break in between. You know what that is, a shrivel break?
When your fingers or toes get all wrinkly?
You come out of the water to let them re-hydrate. LOL
Wouldn’t that be great if worked on old age wrinkles too?

Besides being a lady of leisure again I did get some laundry and light housework done.
Boy…where are the professionals who do all that light housework I would love one of them, huh; wouldn’t that be great?
I was pooped but for me most things poop me out these days.
We ate all meals at home today.
This morning I had something new for me Carnation Instant Breakfast, which recommends making it with a banana like a smoothie mmm it was so very good. Actually, as a teen I drank this old fashioned drink it was on the forefront way before all the other liquid quickie low cal drinks; I think it’s been around for more than fifty years! It’s great for people who really are not breakfast people. All the health and diet gurus say you must eat breakfast the most important meal of the day!

That’s all I got for tonight so I will bid you all a good night, and please be safe, and count those blessings and I will too!
