Looks are deceiving...

Even if looks are deceiving I want to go with the possibility that our darkened sky is telling me that we should have a magnificent quality of rain heading down upon us very shortly!

Maybe I should have gone out and washed the car? As we all know that usually works.
We are not exactly in the earlier situation of this past spring where our grass was crunchy under foot where there was grass; mostly it looked like we were cultivating dirt and sand.
But no, we are not that dry here, yet. Our lawn is still looking like a lawn since it is still green.
Time to get the woolies on; the temperature has dropped to the mid 80’s and it is nearly 6 P.M.! Could be a cold one tonight…

My hubby just stuck his head inside the door and announced it is pleasant enough out there to weed our veggie garden and so he is.
But if my calculations are correct with the rain coming down any minute he better hurry!

The news is saying that more and more criminals are getting too desperate, and some are even tag teaming to snatch purses at gas pumps. These two particular culprits being not noticed by their victim due to their mode of transportation, a Lexus, would you believe? Or so they thought, but the security cameras did manage to snap them.

Thieves are robbing people’s lockers in the LA Fitness gyms scattered throughout the tri-county areas. One ran up a bill on a credit card within a few hours of eighteen hundred dollars! People are reminded time and time again to not take valuables into the facilities.

When I was fit and used to go, I only took my car keys in and they had a wall for hanging them on up front by the desk, which allowed for somewhat of a little protection since it was also there that you had to sign in.

You’re laughing, oh yeah!
About five years ago I was a gym rat, so much so I would work out an hour and a half each day and felt great, and I did that for about four years. My body gave up on me though and here I am about four and half years later a physical mess.

PS no rain yet, darn!

Encouraging though, is the fact that the wind is picking up here, which is usually an indication, that rain may be on its way, hooray!

Did I mention to any of you what I did to two of my friends recently?
Oh, I didn’t?
Well, both friends happen to be bi-lingual, one in French being French Canadian, and the other is fluent in Spanish since her family heritage is Spanish and she is also a translator at times for the police department she works for. They both know that I took those two languages as a child in high school and also had the privilege of visiting Paris France and Spain's Barcelona while a college student forty years ago! The thing is if you don’t use it you lose it, and so in recent years without much call for me to speak those languages I doubt if I remember very much. I did use a wee bit when I was a district manager back in the mid 1990’s when hiring people from Puerto Rico and Haiti who spoke both of those languages.
I recently, for free, installed a five language translator on my word program, and so I sent them both emails in their first languages, and I think I shocked them with my fluency! What fun!
It was definitely harmless but interesting to read their reactions, which one of theirs I did have to translate back again into English.

Boredom creates the devil in me!
You should all think of some harmless fun to do too.
We all could use a good laugh these days so come up with one!
On that playful note I will wish you all a good night and to all count those blessings and I will too!

PSS thunder has roared but still no wet stuff! Oh well…
