Intrigue, passion, and why some things fire people up

Dow dropped nearly 680 points today! We are going in the wrong direction again.
And this was not due to our president elects announcements for his additional cabinet members and any negative concern, but the realization that yes, Uncle Sam we are in a recession, huh?
I thought everyone knew that and knew it for some time now.
Why is it that our federal government is always the last to know these things?

Anyway, getting back to things that are more urgent and in need or resolving; the, ye ole grapefruit tree vote; is now at 6 to 2.
And one of the two voting against it coming down is taking up the gauntlet and fighting for the tree to stay; she is passionate about it needing to remain and has emailed her constituency to aid her in her quest. And this is a powerful woman, a state director of a major non-profit.
Huh? I’m impressed, is all I can say.
In truth all I thought that I was doing was creating a silly diversion for others with maybe, possibly serious woes to have some ridiculous respite; apparently to some it is not.
It’s true that my husband and I have been floundering on the decision on whether or not we should remove the tree, and this was done as a lark, a silly self aid for maybe some clarity.
This has created a dilemma since now I am more confused than ever since those two nays have made very worthwhile pleas.
And I really just thought; girls just gotta have fun!
After all it is just a tree.
But alas an ole fruitful one, and suspect that many can relate to being turned out into retirement before they were ready to go, and convey those similarities to the death of an oldie but goody.
Sadly the tree once a productive and vital contributor to the food chain has not been for over the last four years since its extreme misfortune of hurricane. Yesterday the hefty winds we had here removed the remaining fruit, which was hard or mushy and rotted.
We did lose an orange sister of this child, but the Ponderosa lemon child, and baby Key lime did survive.
Hurricane Charley did its damage on that dreadful day of August 13. 2004 we have planted three new young healthy trees, and one of them is also a fruity.
I had also started an avocado from a pit since then that is now nearly seven feet tall, and we also have a grapevine as well as you know our vegetable garden so we are not haters of thy fruit.
We just feel that she has been resuscitated so many times that we are not being humane in the sense of beating a dead horse so to speak.
Ah, so this little drama has spun somewhat out of my control, but it is still in the delightful silly and entertaining end of all other horrors of most people’s realities that one must deal with daily, and is maybe the distraction we all need now, after all it is somewhat harmless.
Although, some may disagree stating that a tree’s life is on the line!
The outcome should be interesting since my hubby has a slight fear of tree huggers chaining themselves to thee ole grapefruity.
Not an irrational one, but it all stems from our peace nick days and being part of the cause to stop what we were passionate for too.

So I bid you good night to all and to all fight for your passions it will get your heart started!
