Sounds more dignified than yucky I suppose, but extremely old fashioned and mine is the first definition not the second one by the way. I see that, that word can get a lot more mileage from it than it simplest use of mine.
My condition caused me to be somewhat under the weather (another oldie but goodie) for a second day in a row and so I took it again easy.
So my decision was to make a homemade soup for healing purposes, clear broth base this time.
And I hunkered down and watch some movies which included finishing up the last two segments of the John Adams series, 7 and 8, and that was accomplished.
Last night we watched Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid with Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Katherine Ross of course.
They were all so young, and so were we then.
And interestingly enough it hadn’t lost any of its humor or freshness since its original release in 1969.
We had put in for the rental when Paul Newman passed away, and just got it last week.
My husband and I did see it in the movies while dating when it originally came out.
I surprised myself by saying some of the lines before the actors did; not too bad a memory long term, short term not so much.
Burt Bacharach’s music was quite nice including Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head, which again to my surprise I remembered the words.
More than 34 miles in three counties in California have been destroyed including 800 homes and apartments. The winds slowed slightly today making it a little easier for firefighters to set backfires in an effort to block the main fires advancing into hillside neighborhoods.
Tonight we ordered out in, pizza and antipasto it had been quite a while; I bet at least six months, anyway tomorrow is hubby’s actual birthday, and besides ribs, pizza is his other favorite food.
Who knows tomorrow his actual day of entre we may celebrate again…after all you only live once and as far as things go neither one of us needs anything in the way of clothes or inanimate or animate objects either, but eating you have to do a couple of times a day and this gives us a mini vacation from preparation and deciding on what to make. I know portion control!
Good night to all and to all have some fun.
