Turning off the TV news is not such a bad idea

Nothing that earth shattering could happen without our knowledge due to us having this computer on and being subscribed to CNN breaking news releases.

And so today was a fine day to turn the darn BOOB TUBE off.
I walked, made homemade soup, I read and I gardened.

I challenge others to do the same.
We actually received another electric bill for this month that was 35 bucks less than the previous one, but I think it could also be attributed to our barbequing. You see we have an all electric home and the barbecue is propane.
But this was still slightly confusing since we have been receiving rate increases, which they claim, and rightfully so that are due to fuel going up in price.

And so when we don't use some of the everyday things like our electric appliances it does bring the bill down I guess.
I thought it was going to be much higher due to me lowering the thermostat each night so the air-conditioning is much cooler.
I feel much more comfortable sleeping when its set on 75ish.
I know you’re asking if the nights are so cool outside why I don’t just open a window instead.
Well, in Florida we have this little thing of moisture in our air over night and in the early morning called HUMIDITY, and even though it might be in the mid sixties degrees wise our humidity is in the 90% range causing it to feel much warmer, perhaps as warm as the mid to high 80’s, TA DA!
To the good though as the day progresses, at this time of the year, the humidity can drop significantly, to as low as 40% or even sometimes as low as the 30’s percentile range, but the temperature does rise during this period causing the temperature to remain feeling high. An example of this is this afternoon it was 92 degrees but the humidity read only 44%, but sorry to me it was still hot! A dry heat, so they call it in Arizona, but their temps can climb to triple digits and that’s not usual here; thankfully.

My husband as we speak is taking apart an area adjacent to our backyard shed, which we lovingly have been calling the CC or not so sweetly, The Crap Corral in other words a place where he would store junk that he felt in the future may be of some use or need.
I am happy to say that he has finally decided that it is not necessary, and that most of the items stored in this area with a lovely lattice gate and white painted cinderblock half wall will not be used in the near future or at all. You see the tremendous winds that come in our summers destabilized the block wall that was not a permanent structure just piled blocks and so it lost its attractiveness merely by the fact it did not even have the architectural beauty of the leaning Tower of Pisa, but lean it did.
So over the last few weeks I happened to mentioned to my darling housemate what he was planning on doing with it, and he said that he would be taking it down.
Whoopee! I did control my excitement, but its deconstruction is still underway, and already I do see the difference and enlargement of our small yard, a normal quarter acre lot, but with a pool and a pond plus many gardens it is well used.

I was not totally truthful, or maybe I just forgot I did watch the TV today a few PBS programs that we both enjoy two gardening ones and two building shows.
Anyway, that was for only two of the many hours in the day.

Good night to all and to all have fun no matter what you are doing.
