Setting an all time record...

Yes, we unfortunately did when the Market again dropped another 678+ points; the lowest in five years.

Nebraska with good faith passed the Safe Haven Law where parents can drop off children to hospitals, police stations and fire houses and such when unable to care for them. The original concept was to prevent un-wed mothers from doing horrible things as tossing of newborns in trash receptacles.
The only problem is that the cut-off age in this particular state is 18, and many parents with difficult teens, an oxymoron, have been dropping them at these facilities.
Sorry I didn’t mean to sound so cavalier; I’m a mother and I too was once a teen, and yes it is often extremely difficult getting through those years. But there are appropriate agencies when family is unable to help, and now they will be notifying the public of these resources, dialing 211 is one of these acceptable numbers for help, not just for teens but for a plethora of information. I believe the United Way runs the number in most national counties for this free access.
We are all in the same major boat. Resources should be shared and networked.

My husband brought up a concern that makes sense; what is going to happen to all the displaced people from weather disasters and foreclosures when they want to vote in this election, which could have a major affect on all of their futures, since all their addresses may have changed and or possibly what state they may be in? Will they be able to vote?
Has anyone addressed this problem? Excuse the pun.

Today we worked very hard around our home on different projects, which had me painting runs of wood 20 feet in all in two different colors.
One piece was for a broken slat in our fence that the neighbor’s lawn mower guy crashed into, and fortunately replaced when called about it. That I painted white.
The other two pieces were for trim under our sunroom windows used for a rest when installing the hurricane covers; they were painted the tan color of our home.
I did this while my husband hung gutters, which may very well be going back since they gap way to far out ¼ of an inch, and they were caulked according to the instructions, and when tested they still leaked.
Oh well, all that hard-work.
I also planted a pretty perennial called a Mexican petunia in purple that I divided into three separate plants; in three different sunny locations.
I often find more than one even in the smallest containers they’re my bonus plants!

Short one tonight... but good night to all and have a pleasant one I am very tired now, we both are. Good tired from good tanglible work.
