Attention Span

They say that children have short attention spans and as a parent I can confirm that.
Although, as they mature they do concentrate quite well on whatever does interest them.

As an older adult my attention span is about four years long. For this arena it would be 1461 days; which includes that extra day for leap year. That said, now I do appreciate this opinionated venue that has appeared to exist without so much as one word of criticism to date.

I have been saying that it is a joy to have free reign to write about any topic I desire.

Now today is a very, very rainy gloomy cheerless day, and boredom can set in easily if one lets it.

So after lunch my husband who I will give an alias too, let's call him Al; (tired of calling him just hubby) suggested that we go to the library and get some good reads, and so we did.

We do share pleasure in the mystery genre ones, but Al also enjoys Sci-Fi, which I am very fussy about, and I only read certain ones. Anyway, we found six that suited our needs with a couple of new to us authors in the mix.

I did speak with that dear old friend again who I will call B.; we have made it a date to chat once a week by phone on Wednesday afternoons.
She is continuing on the mend, and has mastered daily care needs that most of us take for granted like showering, and moving downstairs. B. is doing much better than anyone would have believed with all that she has been through. This proves to me that positive thinking, perseverance, and just sheer will can make the human spirit succeed at just about anything!

Getting close to dinner time, and for tonight we have decided on blackened Tilapia with corn, and salad or maybe just some other veggie.
I'm not one for planning meals once the food has been put in the freezer since the advent of the microwave ovens way back in the 1970's!
It's more exciting this way; whatever fazes me at the necessary time.
Got to get to that process of preparation.

Have a great evening to all and to all a good night!

Updates: My old friend, B.; that had had the major, major surgery I mentioned on July 10th well actually I was inaccurate about how many she had had; this surgery was her 30th not just her 29th!
Bracelet: Did my own web search and found out my bracelet, which I saw a picture of, an exact duplicate, is a very good sterling silver from TAXCO Mexico, which is a company in that city of the same name and has been making silver jewelery for over 400 years! This is my bracelet link, just copy and paste to see: http://www.tias.com/7758/PictPage/1920965598.html#images
Author Nancy Pickard: no longer lives in Florida she lives in Kansas. I do not know when this occurred but it had to be a while ago since her newer books are situated there.
