It turns out that I do not need anyone to take care of my pressure ulcer of the sacral region, stage 1! Since the wound care clinic discharged me on May 6th! I found out that if I had had a home health care worker coming regularly to my home I would not be able to go to, PT, or physical therapy, since they, being Medicare, would think I was unable to go to the Sports Rehab Facility!
Who knows maybe the ulcer thankfully healed, since May 1 when I was told I needed a home healthcare worker to come to my home and apply strong medication called Santyl 250 unit 90 gram tube and Mepilex border sacrum foam dressing daily for a count of forty-five! As per Millennium Home Care Order and Face-to-Face encounter with nurse Olga AKA Volha D at the Dr. P. office on May 1.
To prevent future pressure sores, a waffle overlay mattress blown-up type for just my side of the bed will be delivered via Amazon, as the wound care clinic suggested. I was also told to limit HOB elevation to 30 degrees in bed. ( lying on my side.) All are recommended by Crissy the wound care clinic case worker nurse.
Hubby removed my RoHo cushion from my old motorized wheelchair, a better cushion, and will put it on my new chair which is now over two years old!
And now I can continue PT without concern! The wound care clinic evaluation went well!
Allow me to introduce you to the crew...
