Anticipation! We all have it and some do not want it others cannot wait for it..., and some are thrilled with the outcome, and others are extremely disappointed... anyway you have there is an emotional reaction to whatever we are for lack of a better word "ANTICIPATING" FOR!
That said, we all were thrilled with the prospect of the PANDEMIC going to be over, but, and this is a BIG BUT, it didn't happen... and most know why, why some may ask... and those people are the reason why!!!
We went all ANIMAL HOUSE, PARTY HOUSE, BUT INDOORS AS WELL AS OUTDOORS!!! BEFORE ANY OF THE POWERS THAT BE KNEW THAT THE VARIANTS WOULD SPREAD SO VIRULENTLY!
Are we doomed to repeat what most thought they knew???
MASK-UP my friends and stop the spread and while at it GET VACCINATED for that is where the bucket was dropped, not allowing for HERD IMMUNITY!!!
No 70% so the PANDEMIC MARCHES ON!!!
STOP THE SPREAD WITH A SIMPLE VACCINATION...WE, HUBBY AND I, GOT VACCINATED WAY BACK ON MARCH 11, 2021!
Stop being part of the problem, and become part of the cure!!!
That's all...
Moving on...
To my mini-project, a refresh that may need another refresh?
There is a short story behind this next project that was a freebie found in the shed that has been long gone in the 23 years that we have dwelled in our longest lived-in home to date. White ceramic fish, I say they look like Angelfish Hubby said some other type. Well, any-who I decided to paint them a pastel color to go with our then look of our home pinks and blues, always the blues, hmm?
And Hubby affixed them to our back wall of the outside patio, and every few years I would freshen the somewhat same colors.
This year I decided to go all out and send those pastels on their merry way and go shockingly into the night with rich navy, yes, again the same as my plant stand, but tickled with my acrylic gold metallic too!
How about an old and new look?
You see, I do believe I went too dark and so, unbeknownst to Hubby until he reads this I may, yes I will need him to bring them down off the wall!!! All due to the too dark side is seemingly too harsh a transition for me!!! What do you think? Add some color? Or start all over?
Moving on once again...
Now this beautiful leaded glass window was also in that shed, and I had painted the glass at first with watered down acrylics, but about a year ago I realized what a treasure it was in its natural state... what do you think? It is safely displayed on the bottom shelf of my wall unit in the living room. I considered spraying it with that new mirror paint, what do you think? And then I would hang it on the wall with my other mirror collections.
And lastly a morning sunrise...blah...!
And so we must go, for now ...
I am called Aussie because my Mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl, who had been looking at me, in the crate at the adoption site, that day, what she thought I should be named. And without hesitation, the teenager had said, Aussie! She was just looking, by the way,... so Mom did not steal me from her.
We never did find out the girl's name, and Mom liked the name Aussie too. We have since found out that it is a very common name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon though,... some might say even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd. Here is an interesting factoid about me, I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd, but... as you might know, I AM NOT! Although I am now three years old, so I am the baby, though I tip the scales at around seventy pounds, HA! I must admit, a very big one!
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been taken out of a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter. Below is my new PIC that had been taken on the birthday that I share with my Dad, but Dad is much, much older than me!!! I was the first to be adopted, February 16, 2018, his brother's birthday.
Please don't forget me, I am Chance, pictured above, a Bichon Frise! I am six years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps in with Dad, till after seven most days, even later! I enjoy a good tug-a-war on the ropes that Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays too! I was the last to be adopted, on January 23, 2020.
I was wandering the neighborhood for days and then saw Aussie and Bella in their living-room window, so I hung out there... The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening?
The animal control lady was called and came out to see if I had a chip I.D. with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason being, that if no one claimed me, I want to give him a second chance! So that is how I got the name Chance!
Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!
