Percentages, again far afield from politics...but a notable conversation.

Emails!

My question to all of you how many these days are actually from family and friends and not just commercial, business, or political in flavor?

With texting and zooming and all sorts of ways to technologically communicate, the question is how many of your emails are personal?

Personally, I would say that less than 1% are from people I really truly care about.

Why do we still have"emails"?

Sure some use them to verify payments or the so-called paperless statements come that way, but duh, I am one of those ecologically sound people except when it comes to bills. I prefer tangible evidence that they were received!

So if the company insists I will print out their emailed bill, I know silly!

I even electronically use "bill payer" from my bank to pay all bills paperless, probably over fifteen years!

Save the forests of course! I am all for it. But keep better records, please.

Exhibit A: Hubby bought the new damaged door for 15% off on the 24th, and they billed us for the original price on the 23rd and also the discounted price on the 24th, but both pending. Then the store, Lowe's, sent us an email that it had not been picked up yet!

They sent two different emails saying the door had not been picked up yet, it had been picked up on the 24th, the emails were dated the 27th, and 28th and if Hubby did not call,... they would have done what?

They possibly would have put the same type of door that was purchased back into their stock and not bill us or those pending charges would have gone through? Who knows really.

Now Hubby had his printed-out order number and his receipt from his purchase. And if he hadn't had his proof there might have been nothing to make them realize their computer goofed! Because according to many the computer said he had NOT picked it up yet! Paulette the curbside pick person said that. And many argue that the computer is always correct! And I argue it is only as good as the person who puts the information into it. Fortunately, Paulette didn't argue and realized the computerized mistake...

So maybe for business emails are still useful, what do you think?

As long as we do not trash them or throw them into the SPAM file, although even then they are still accessible.

I am retired from all sorts of things since 2008, and Hubby since 2006, and I still get an average of fifty emails daily, crazy! I can't hear you, but... Yes, I think so too.

Hubby was smart he gave up computers when he retired, but we still have two active emails, and that mentioned quantity was just from the one. He does use his smartphone, we both have Androids.

I rarely look at the other one. I had designated it for Hubby, but he too rarely looks.

We text family and friends and also use messaging too.

No Zoom in this family, nor any type of face-time.

Communication is amazing and the net is access to the world!

Every once in a while, I think about how far we have come in some ways, then sadly I realize how far we have been setback all due to our previous administration, and my heart skips a beat when I think about all the negativity there was here and in the world theater,... but then I think about President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and my hope rises again!

For the PANDEMIC to be gotten under control and lives will be saved due to the roll-out of the vaccine, and it appears to be working...!

Pollution, Global Warming is already back on track of care and concern to be involved with stopping changing!

Our respect in the world has gone back up with President Biden and VP Harris!

We were shamed for too long by a madman!.

And horrifically he is back! Speaking his lies, and national news is capturing it all once again.

THIS JUST IN!!! Please realize I have been saying this for weeks, it's good I am not alone!!! And maybe it will be stopped before we all are not vaccinated due to it...https://www.yahoo.com/news/second-democrat-calls-for-investigation-of-de-santiss-vaccine-distribution-100026167.html

And so we must go for now...

Please be smart, as well as safe.
Have a very pleasant night.

Count those blessings, and we will too!
Next time, please be here, or be square, ya hear!

Aussie, say Good day!

I am Aussie, not being from Australia but American-made. I will comply anyway for the fun of it,... so I will say Good Day!

I am called Aussie because my Mom asked a sixteen-year-old girl, who had been looking at me, in the crate at the adoption site that day what she thought I should be named. And without a second thought, the teenager had said, Aussie! She was just looking, by the way,... so Mom did not steal me from her.
We never did find out the girl's name, and Mom liked the name Aussie too. We have since found out that it is a very common name, but it is still just right for me! My parents think that I am uncommon though,...some might say even unique! I do like that.
I am an Australian Shepherd. Here is an interesting factoid I was supposed to be a miniature Australian Shepherd but,...as you might know, I AM NOT! Although I am now three years old, so I am the baby, though tipping the scales around seventy pounds, HA! A very big one!
I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me. I had been taken out of a hoarder's home in the Carolinas with my litter. Below is my new PIC that had been taken on the birthday that I share with my Dad, but Dad is much, much older than me!!! I was the first to be adopted, February 16, 2018, his brother's birthday.
                            3 months................................................3 years

No tail/tale publishing, circa 2018.
Get it? I was born without a tail, preferable for Australian shepherds, only one out of five are born that way!

Hello, I am Bella, a Maltese Yorkie, a Morkie, and I might be five years old. The middle child, so I am what you would expect, with all those idiosyncrasies that go along with all that! Being the only girl has its rewards as well as difficulties...We are all rescues, so no one knows for sure our ages. I was turned in from my previous family, stating, that I was misbehaving with their elderly dog, they had said that I was driving him crazy! I was the second to be adopted on 8/18/18, on clear the shelters' day!Oh, by the way, my record's called me Belle, and so for no known reason, Mom decided I was more of a Bella; beautiful either way!

And please don't forget me, I am Chance a Bichon Frise! I am six years old, so they think, and the eldest, and I like getting up early with Mom and Aussie. Bella sleeps in with Dad, till after seven! I enjoy a good tug-of-war on the ropes that Dad had twisted for Aussie and me, and sometimes even Bella plays too! I was the last to be adopted on January 23, 2020.

I was wandering the neighborhood for days and then saw Aussie and Bella in their living room window so I hung out there... The Animal Welfare League checked me out and kept me for sixteen days until I was allowed to be adopted. Good evening?

Now my name of Chance is because I was given another chance, could be only the second one or perhaps more... The animal control lady came out to see if I had a chip with her machine, and Dad told her that he wanted to name me Chance. His reason being, that if no one claimed me I want to give him a second chance! So that is how I got the name Chance!

Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!

Speaking My Mind: Interesting familiar diagnosis for one and horrifi... :   But these are MINE! Not Hubby's! What he has is not contagio...
