My throat issue update in this pseudo normalcy world by this pseudo normalcy gal!

So far I have been put on one prescription called, Sucralfate 1GM (Also used in veterinarian medicine) taken four times a day an hour three times a day before meals, and once more at bedtime.  And that is prescribed by my internist (He had taken a while getting back to me due to me having so many maladies and medications and supplements.)  and is for ulcers that he feels is my problem with GERD causing the reflux of the sore throat...as I wait for the gastroenterologist to call back the surgeon did and until I have a barium upper GI series.

I suppose there is nothing the surgeon can do. His previous suggestion was a surgical by-pass since four years ago I had had a sleeve surgery, but from what I read a bypass after the sleeve surgery has a 40% mortality rate, and so no!!!

The ENT visit is this week to see if perhaps it is just a throat direct issue. But to be honest lozenges and Chloraseptic spray and tea and honey and lemon, etc. do not seem to be working, but sadly neither is the stomach medicine. Heaven knows I am on so many vitamins too, Bs Cs, and Zinc included.

I had had a dentist appointment Wednesday and I was supposed to have two fillings taken care of in a two hour period, but I asked the dentist if she could only do the one. And I told her because of my non-contagious sore throat and she understood and so in January, I will have the other one taken care of. I also asked if anything was amiss with the x-Rays they had taken the last visit, and she said no just the fillings needing to be done. It had been sadly years since going to the dentist without dental insurance I had put it off for way too long. Finally, I decided to use the CareCredit card I have had for years and received notification that it would be no longer available if I had not used it. It provided interest-free use for a substantial period of time and that is why I did decide to take care of the issue of no dental insurance care.

Anyway, the doctor said except for needing those two fillings all was well, even my gum disease that used exist due to smoking was no longer there!!!
I quit smoking back on July 11, 2006!
Over fourteen years ago, but I had smoked foolishly for over forty years and so far I have gotten off cheap with my mild allergic asthma and no major lung or mouth issues...I hope.

Ya know how you feel in your gut how stupidity might catch up with you???

That's what is going on with me now.
Thinking how can I be this lucky, and also now knowing it takes twenty years until you are in the total clear of quitting smoking, and its horrible effects!!!
So the medicos say.

So with chronic for months now sore throat that could be a nothing or a something???

Of course, it was suggested by my internist it as simple as my allergic postnasal drip and GERD causing it, nothing ominous. But nothing is working to stop the sore throat!!!

The only reason I am worried/concerned is not ever being truly lucky, usually a jinx, and not using good judgment all those years due to smoking.

All I do know now is that I am going to the right doctors to find out... so I hopefully will!

A wise person once said don't look for trouble where there is none... but what about where there could be???

Meanwhile, this feeling of a malaise continues.

Moving on...
