I swore off excessive news watching in this pseudo normalcy world by this pseudo normalcy gal!

But we all know it's not nice to swear and so I started at five-thirty A.M. with Soledad O'Brian's show on NBC, Matter of Fact, then on to local NBC out of Ft. Myers Florida on at six on Sundays and Saturdays and from there Willie Geist' Sunday show on NBC Weekend Today at eight for an hour then back to local and then an hour of Meet the Press NBC with Chuck Todd at ten and then the last half hour of Face the Nation with Margaret Brennen CBS (WINK, local name) at eleven A.M., wish they would split those two up better!

Then for some reason Sunday CBS (WINK) the affiliate has a half-hour of news at eleven-thirty A.M. and then I am done until tonight that again starts at six P.M. to eleven-thirty! That is if I manage to be up... during the week it is more extensive since you get, news locally from four-thirty and to seven A.M. then you start national out of NYC for three hours on NBC, two hours mid-day on NBC-2 local affiliate then the option from three to six-thirty P.M. also NBC, also the local affiliate, till afternoon to early evening-wise then national again at six-thirty till seven... then local at eleven P.M. ENOUGH for you, me too or so I thought???

So as I said in my title I was beginning to swear off of this INSANITY!!!

How about you?

Let's face it with so much viewing there has to be repetition and of course, there always is...

Thus my streaming in fantasyland.
We all need a break, don't we?

You take yours and I will try hard to take mine... I'm addicted.

Staying informed is a full-time job.

But then I will inevitably miss something that Hubby will notice or I will read something that he hadn't. So it's usually a tie in the keeping informed competition???
NO!!! Not-at-all.

Although, somedays...

That's okay.

Our Number One Son too is a news junkie and inevitably will display his information in a little bit of a dig as if we are not aware at all anymore!

But then I will try with all my might to let him know that his Mom knows her way around that stuff, but then he says our sources are too this or that... but he was brought upright with plenty of liberal tones in anything he says. Then I am again a very proud Mom that he cares about the world and its people, the earth too... gosh he bought a battery-electric car for his half-hour commute! And sailboats were his idea of being on the water...he has had three over the years...

So why argue at all.
Guess cause it can be fun... at times. (And he is his Mother's, mine, son whether he wants to admit it or not.)

Even when you are on the same side. He just turned forty-eight several weeks ago, not a youngster anymore.
Talking is a lost art but we do try a couple times a month and we, I do hope that we both enjoy it...I do know I do.
Touching base so to speak in any form.

Moving on to what matters as well with our election coming up this November...

You can be part of the change from evil to GOOD!!!!
