UPS delivery of FTD my heart pitter-pattered.... but alas the gift was not mine!
Our street number is 169 and so there is also a matching 169 on the next block and over the nearly twenty-two years we have been residing in this home there and our deliveries have been mixed up periodically from computers to chairs to medication, not to mention a pretty nifty set-up of a Halloween themed birthday backyard graveyard, nope not ours theirs, but set up in our backyard. Fortunately one of the comically written headstones was their calling card phone number included and so they came early enough to remove it from our yard and reset it up in the right person's yard!
So it's not that unusual, then why was this mistake heart-tugging, no not wrenching was... I suppose due to Mother's Day this coming Sunday, and my Mom being gone for a very long time, 1982, but my father passing away on Mother's Day on May 11, 1986!
Yes.
No hugs no kisses, no family dinners all gone...sad.
But they were good people my Mom and Dad and each and everyday or occasion bring happy and sad memories.
The funny thing about cut flowers I used to say then they were dead, which in reality is true except for that packet the florists give you or the aspirin or green soda you use to delay the inevitable. I much preferred potted plants. Albeit I would cut my own flowers and bring them in...odd to me that was different! These days both are an attractive sweet-smelling gift.
Hubby caught up with the UPS driver and showed him it was the wrong address, and the driver quickly went to pick up his other wrong street delivery at the next house! Both street names start with the same consonant.
These drivers are risking life and limb to deliver these gifts!
And we thank them for that!
Nothing is easy in a PANDEMIC!
Moving on to...

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Aussie shut it down!
(I am an Australian Shepherd, an interesting factoid I was supposed to be a miniature but...as you might know I AM NOT! But I am now 29 months old, so I am the baby HA! I was three months old when Mommy and Daddy adopted me.)
No tail/tale publishing circa 2018.
Don't forget us too!

Easy as Aussie, Bella, Chance, now you got it!
And me Chance, I am a Bichon Frise mix, first I thought Maltese but now I am considering poodle? I am pictured here with Mom and Dad at the Port Charlotte Animal Welfare League! I am five years old they think.
