It didn't start raining until after one P.M. today... seems so very odd for this is deep into our dry season... I suppose some entity or deity is making up for our lack of moisture in our rainy season! When it hasn't rained for awhile here in Florida we get something called Florida ice, oils, and grease that has spilled or dripped from vehicles onto the roadways creates a very slick surface, not unlike true ice to our northern states. Although, here during the first days of the rainy season or now thankfully during our dry season! The rain,
not the slick roads!
Moving on...
Yesterday as you might have figured out Hubby had his stitches out after removal of nasty cysts that also were biopsied and that too was wonderful news they were NEGATIVE!
YAY, What a day!
So we went out for lunch but Hubby and I could not figure out what type of cuisine we wanted!
Previously, when it was just us on occasion I suggested the food court at our Town Center Mall in Port Charlotte FL.
A couple of nationalities had moved out but there were American, Italian, Asian, and Greek!
I chose Greek, a Greek side salad and a spinach pie, Hubby chose Italian, a stromboli. The other great thing there is you can take to go or stay I knew I wouldn't be finishing mine so I had it put in to-go containers, and keeping that iced cooler in the van is very helpful!
Hubby ate the whole thing!
Before just before there... we got gas at Sam's Club where we saved 14 cents a gallon going there!
We had picked up a replacement for my daily use battery Hoover Bolt, the other died during the holidays having Hubby to have to take out our larger much heavier Shark vacuum to have to be used.. having the lightweight battery one enables me to help and also exercise as well as keep up with Aussie's hair all over the place! It also converts into just a motorized duster at Walmart for a sale price of $99.00.
And Walmart still had a 32" bedroom-sized Smart TV a Phillips for only $128!
And so we splurged.
Now ours went into the guest room!
Our living-room one was purchased within the last two years and was about $300 also a 32" Smart TV made by Magnavox, so when we saw the so much lower price...
The one in the living room had a clunking 160 pound 37" Sony, a so-called dumb TV that was replaced after a few hundred dollar repair years ago by the first Magnavox flat-screen Smart TV. We had already been given two other flatscreens by Number One Son!
We usually have at least one or more TVs going all of the time.
Bella likes it Aussie' barks at other critters domestic and foreign.. so for him in the rest of the house no TV and Bella yes to TV in our bedroom when we go out they do behave, mostly sleep.
At least nothing is damaged or askew.
After a short hook up assist from Roku who now owns Phillips and have free tech support forever! Our new Smart TV is a decent size for my viewing of Netflix, Hubby has been watching on the full-sized living-room screen while I was watching on my 15" Lenovo Ideapad. Now we are separate but equal, once again! Yay?!
I like mysteries and he likes vampires.
Happy good night to all!
Count those blessings and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
Take it, Bella!
I did this so I will be.
