Hubby took this picture at our doctor's office where this is on the check out counter our doctor who is of Puerto Rican nationality but born here I think and explained his last hyphenated name of Dr. Arturo Rodriguez-Martin surname is for both his parent's last names. And that has been the way it has been done in Puerto Rico for generations.
I always had thought hyphenated last names were fairly new, but see now that I have learned something! We both loved the plaque and what it represents to all people who emigrated to America for so many important reasons.

Hubby has been gardening by cutting back overgrown bushes trees and gardens that used to be my job, but no more!

Between falling and the heat and so I have been fired! And consistently told me by Hubby that I have MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS!

I do know that since 2006 officially, years before that though till diagnosis.
Speaking of the heat this is a little while ago.

The view is back! The grass is dying due to lack of rain, great news the rain it should be back by Tuesday! We had the dryest of September in recorded history last month due to not even an inch in our rainy season!

In spite of the weather I made warm comfort food for dinner, yeah I am back! Don't worry we have to air-condition!

I made pseudo ziti with mini macaroni, but it was good! Lotsa leftovers. The sauce is a marinara that I had added mushrooms, scallions, plum tomato, even cucumber too, garlic, basil, and oregano, stevia, and lemon juice and even two leftover hamburgers from our last night's dinner Hubby had made. The cheeses are cottage 2% fat, and mozzarella low moisture part-skim, and topped it all off with parmesan/romano blend sprinkle cheese. Mmmm, mmm good!
