Frustration! After no help at the local store, so I called corporate at the above number.
Sure I foolishly bought motorized recliners, two sets of two in May of 2015 for their no interest for five years and for us only $33 a month and fully paid off for that minimal payment, but I didn't believe it so I chose to round it up to $35! Ha! Kidding, yea I do pay $35.
Actually, it gave me about a month less, but still no interest, amazing?
Never purchased furniture like this, and never will again, always paid cash.
But this freed up monies for other things and seemed too good to be true, yep, it appears that it was.
Here is why, we are still paying since we have an original year left- minus a month, I think.
Any-who, right now we have one of the four recliner's completely dead, no reclining motor, and another one side squealing! One of each side, set attached.
And of course we only had a one year warranty, and it's been four years and yet we owe $349.83!
I believe that according to my investigative skills I had uncovered the true length of time that motorized recliners should last is TEN YEARS: https://homeguides.sfgate.com/average-life-recliner-88893.html, not just FOUR!
And to top it all off RTG only have inhouse, in house trained mechanics to work on motors, and after that year contract they do not loan them out for additional pay. Even when you rationally tell them NO ONE FIXES THEM!
So with $349.83 still owed and so I decided to call Synchrony bank @1-877-295-2080, the one holding this amazing loan, and they are submitting a claim on my behalf renegotiating the last of the payments by filing a dispute, due to equipment failure in less time than it should. I called it shoddy workmanship!
It takes 60 days to complete, and if you want to stop paying while this goes on you can, but I have chosen not to stop, but they should reimburse us for at least the two broken ones I would think would be appropriate. PS they are the ones thin Hubby sit/sat on, not me chubby gal! My seat sides are still functioning, oddly enough.
It is of my opinion when something is rotten in any product there is always someone responsible and for reputation alone this issue should be rectified! Either fix or reimburse!
