Disappointed.

Ups and downs in life.
Today, Hubby and I were determined to do a few errands.
Both to get our hair cut at two different locations, but within blocks of each other.
Fantastic Sam's advertises walk ins welcomed, and so with the snowbirds gone for the season I thought I would try without a problem, little did I realize there would be a different kind of issue...
.
The one that I have been going to on and off for as long as they have been there is in The Promenades Mall, where Beall's Outlet, Winn Dixie and The Fawcett Hospital Sports Rehab all are and we have been to all of those places often over the years.
The last two visits prior to today at Fantastic Sam's were not that usual, and today was the most remarkable.
That third one back was with their hairdresser Chuck, who chopped my hair in so many layers that when I went back last time they commented on how difficult is was to fix!
I saw Laurie that last time, and everyone there assured me that Chuck no longer worked there due to so many people complaining about him!
I had always, over the years, made appointments, but still found myself waiting, so speed forward to today and only two people other than one customer were in the shop when I arrived, was the woman receptionist and of all people CHUCK!
No one was waiting there, and yet the receptionist said unless I wanted CHUCK she could make an appointment with Jennifer for me, I think that was the woman hairdresser's name she offered as a substitute for Laurie, for 12:30 P.M., it was, at the time 11:00 A.M.
I said no and asked why Chuck was back? (You might remember my blog on Chucking CHUCK?)
This person said he was always here/there as far as she knew and she has been there seven years!
She asked again if I wanted him to cut my hair and as she held the door open for me to leave, for I already had said no and as we were quite a distance from CHUCK I told her about how he chopped up my hair, and that Laurie last time tried to fix it and that everyone there had said that CHUCK was no longer there due to all the complaints about him!
I said I will not go into a business that outright lies!
Anyway, from the looks of the place having no business except the one woman CHUCK had in his hot seat!
Keeping bad people only harms a business I believe.
Need I say more.
Whew!
Had to get that out upsetting.

Our bank is in between Hubby's barber and the mall so Hubby likes to pay his barber in cash, and we drove through the ATM, a rarity for me, and then Aussie and I waited out in the car while Hubby got his haircut at the barber's new location in a women's hair salon that was closed for today and did not have very good ADA access at all.
From there Hubby went into ACE Hardware where they were having a twofer, two cans for $6.00 on Rustoleum spray paint, Hubby got two high gloss white for the chair.
Last stop was to Joann's in the same shopping center as our Publix and I chose, on sale, an outdoor fabric in a Tommy Bahama tropical leaf print online, but in store too, for only $10.99 a yard, normally $21.99, great deal!
The wood glue was used today to stick the two little strips of rattan wrapping on the one arm that had lifted.
And we ran out of steam to do anymore today on the project.
Hubby has the new wood for the seat from a 1/2" piece of plywood he has leftover in the garage, the press board on the original seat was falling apart before I threw it into the pool!
If the fabric on the seat wasn't so drab and didn't smell so oddly it would almost suffice, but it is a dull boring colored dark print, and just not that exciting.
The new one that I chose is a bold print, adding into another one I think I will be moving in from the guestroom into the sunroom with it, a chair I also found curbside that Hubby brought home from the neighbor on the other side of our home set out for collection A different style totally and also with a bold print, but in the same color family although in stripes so I think it will be fine, see its a cane back without any issues, but had needed a painting, it too has the high gloss white sprayed on it. And  also has outdoor fabric on it, so it is versatile for additional seating inside or out.
Our couch in that room is a solid blue below, but covered.
So I think it will all come together.
Tomorrow's another day, with more home time to get things going!

On that note allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
