Aussie's first outing!

Oops that's not Aussie! Just a lone(ly) cute little black and white bird sitting in a Mimosa tree, I think it is, not too sure.

Here's Hubby with Aussie strolling in front of me, but turning for my photo op!

We had eaten our drive-thru picked up chicken sandwiches and small fries, half tossed not that good, and Aussie had his puppy food, but of course at the pavilion there. Where was that? Oh, at the Charlotte County Beach Complex, just a stones throw from our home. Besides having a sandy swimming beach, they have a swimming pool, tennis courts, boccie courts, volley ball court, basketball court, playground, boat ramp/dock, kayak boat rental, sailing classes, and more!

Foolishly I forgot the most important coming of age hurdle for any canine here, or perhaps there where you reside too, is mastering a shopping basket, his was covered by a padded mat for comfort and transport/shopping in Home Depot! We picked up a five gallon bucket of Kilz for the white fence, the killing part is for killing mold!
Oh and the foolish part is forgetting to take pics of his journey, from jumping out, but having his attempted escape of the cart foiled by Hubby to Aussie relaxing and finally lying down and loving it! Fortunately he was wearing his padded harness tethered to his leather tan training lead (from Skipper, our Bichon Frise, one of his predecessors), so no necks were harmed in the retrieval of our four legged fuzzy loved one.

He stopped traffic throughout the store from feminine types to burly kinds, even the very small and also the quite tall, and he delighted all people who all had the same reactions... HE WAS ADORABLE! May I touch him? Yes, we said, with the caveat, he still has his milk teeth and he is a puppy, and they all seemed to understand...and as soon as they touched him they would coo and state how soft he was/is... And Aussie lapped up the adoration!

To me he feels just like our long haired orange Tabby cat Casey, sort of like my Mom's mink coat that I inherited after she passed away. (The one I had given to my Mother-in-law, since at the time the thought of wearing the dead pelts made me disgusted and we had moved to Florida where there was no logical reason to have it in my mind; sadly my mother-in- law upon arriving back in NJ by plane called and said the coat was too small. That was probably over twenty years ago, my Mom passed away back in 1982, so this was even years after that. My Mother-in-law was very short and very fat, my Mom was not, oh well... I suggested cutting it into a stole...who knows if she did... my MIL has since died at the age of 96 this past November.) Funny how some memories are triggered and come back just like that.

Any-who...what is more important is that...
Aussie was a hit! And everyone loved him too!

So next time I am more than sure no escaping will be tried.
Who doesn't enjoy accolades, seriously.

Happy good night to all!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
