Trickery

Typically, headlines try to grab your attention and that is why sometimes what you read at first might appear to be a misdirect?
Not totally dishonest.
Nor against principles, but "eye catching" is what it is known to be and beneficial for that aspect of journalistic competency to attract a reader.

Smoke and mirrors are deceitful and not acceptable in journalism, so in this title using the word concept of "trickery" is a fine line of informing with a hook... like man bites dog, is a different take on the ordinary of the usual other way around of that that is commonplace like, the dog that bites the man, get it?

The title "trickery" would also be fair and legit to use as the announcement of an item on magicians, true?

Enough already with my concept of good ways or ideas for getting people's attention.
I'm no pro.
Not at all.

The news announced that we, in Punta Gorda Florida, have the cheapest gas in the area, by as much as twenty cents a gallon.
So what does that say about this segment of southwest Florida?
Come on down to get cheap gas?
Perhaps?
Dare I say too many beaches are closed due to too high bacteria levels.
Our usual tourist pull.
Oh well.

Not good.

Threats!

You know something...I very nearly copied and pasted the Orange Frothy Guy's tweet about the ultimatum about him saying he would shut the government down if "his wall" is not voted on and accepted by the Democrats!

What is he a toddler having a tantrum... I was waiting for an "or else" that he did express with his stubborn rhetoric about shutting down the government if he doesn't get "his way"!

REALLY?????

I am seriously beginning to believe that discussing any of his asinine commentary in the form of his tweets is detrimental to our country's psyche and I will try harder to refrain from such retaliatory tit for tat comments!

It really is like arguing with a three year old!

Frustration mostly because you know that they just do not understand, get it, ya know?

Although, ours, sons that is, were superior and did understand logical reasoning, even at toddler ages! Not all men are created equal when it comes to logical thinking, it does appear.

Moving on...

The weather is either too hot or too rainy, as we sadly all know nationally and internationally!

So not conducive to staying outside, true?

Basically not safe.

Global warming.

So in we go,hopefully in temperature controlled rooms...

Aside from doing mundane indoor tasks, technologically entertaining one's self is doable and very necessary to stay out of the doldrums, as long as utilities are functioning, i.e. electric. Good old fashioned cards or board games, or even an excellent book is a way to get your mind temporarily off of and can easily also distract you from reality! 

 Mind vacations are nifty and cost effective!

Staying calm helps to keep your cool, figuratively and actually!

Deliveries this week!

Starting today it was delivered for free (anything over $49), and it was called in only yesterday that was Aussie's puppy chow, Nutro Essentials no GMOs with chicken, brown rice and sweet potatoes, another thirty pounds plus two more Hartz tearless puppy shampoo, and two new Nylabones, one shaped like a large rawhide bone with chicken flavoring and guaranteed for him not to be able to chew through it, and the other shaped like their usual bones, but BIG and bacon flavored! Rawhide bones to me are dangerous, our male Yorkie, Benji, almost choked to death on one! His tongue turned black and I performed the Heimlich maneuver on him and it came out and then I drove him to the vet to be checked out! He survived thank God, and lived to a respectable age of fourteen. chewy.com UPS.

Tuesday we are expecting a new sailcloth/tarp for over the pool, apparently the winds here the other day were a wee bit too strong for the one we had that had lasted a couple of years. Oddly enough we had thought we had bought it at Home Depot but they insisted they never carried the brand, same for Lowe's, so I ended up Googling the 12' X 16' dimensions at first and the company came up, but so did another one called www.tarpswarehouse.com  also UPS.
And they came in at ten dollars less with free shipping, and that will be here on Tuesday!

Lastly in deliveries will be the outdoor part of our weather station that seemed to have an issue, and Hubby called AcuRite the manufacturer for trouble shooting and once it was determined to be an issue that they felt needed to be replaced, since all Hubby and tech tried did not work, including something as simple as the batteries copper topped Energizer that had a date of 2027 good till on them, so they are sending a new outdoor unit that will arrive Friday via FedEx.

Oh there is one more that we actually have to pay for and pick up so not really in this classification, but any-who at $7.50 plus tax for 30 @.25 each are the plastic covers for the screws on out patio set and Palm Casual in North Fort Myers Florida asked us to come and pick them up when they call us that they have come in. Actually, back in 2004 when we bought the set after the hurricane, it was a local store, but they since closed that one, so the next closest is the North Fort Myers store, 26 miles away. www.PalmCasual.com

Kyle Chapman from that store originally thought that I just needed a few and was willing to give me those, but then I told him we have six chairs and a few are missing and many are cracked, and I wanted a few spares thus the high finance, ha. Though he was very nice to offer and I did thanked him and then we discussed the actual amount.

Hubby asked me if they could send them to us, but I thought we could make it a day and go down there for the fun of it, we haven't been in quite some time. Hubby liked that idea.
To see the blue-green algae? I suggested.

Safety first!

How many people do you know have stopped eating salads?
Or specific vegetables or proteins or crackers or Geez even ice cream at one time?
So many foods have been recalled for their dangerous poisonous diseases that they can give us, it makes one wonder if we should all go back to having our own little home farms, with veggies and chickens, oh wait, home grown chickens were just in trouble for some outbreak!
Between the horrendous weather systems causing fires to get to uncontrollable levels, and torrential rains causing flooding that is biblical in proportions of destruction, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions... there seems to be no place to run or hide!
Nightly/daily/morning news causing anxiety due to world unrest... I have come to many possible conclusions, but without any intellectual resolve.

1. Global Warming isn't coming it is already here!

2. Any people who believe the bibles of the world's religions knows when people treat each other so badly that is an omen of world civilization collapse!
I guess there were just those two.

SCARY!
Have no idea what to do, do you?

We have been even seeing nineties temperatures during the night, even for Florida that is way too hot!

Now I do understand apolitical people, no worries, be happy, apathetic folks.

Feeling very sad.

Flashing, flashing, flashing goes the cursor.

Geez, I am old enough to remember when the word "cursor", meant you (not me, never...ha! then no, now yes.) used foul language; ha!
And flashing was something that deviates did in parks; dump bump bum!

Staring at that thing (the cursor) flashing, moving in and out, makes me anxious at times.
Just knowing that like a trained seal it's time for me to perform!
My own world order, self imposed.
You see, I am self employed at this pay-less job that I bestowed upon myself.
Time marches on and so must I...
As I wasted yours and my time talking/writing about nonsense a topic, make that a few topics came into this wee brain of mine, and that calls for a hip, hip hooray!

Here's one...idea topic that is... I have been watching a highly recommended series, by moi,  from Australia on Netflix called Offspring, binge watching it in fact, seven seasons so far... 2010 to 2017 three shows left for me, yep sadly almost done, and according to what I gleaned from my online inquiries it is not quite clear if they have been picked up for an eighth series, as they call it. I have literally felt every emotion you can think of from laughing to crying and everything in between! With just the right dosages of smarts in an off beat quirky family life and it is rightly so classified as a dramedy, comedy-drama. Try it, I think you might like it, especially if you are not a prude! Live a little! One of those shows you wish would go on forever!

Ah another idea topic: I made homemade chicken soup today from that rotisserie chicken with two packets of no sodium chicken bouillon, thyme, garlic, one small onion chopped, several baby carrots chopped into bite sized pieces, three celery stalks also chopped, rosemary, sage, covered all with water in the pressure cooker for two hours after it comes to a steady jiggle. Separately cook wide no egg noodles, added in at the end topped off with Kosher salt and pepper to taste, add more chicken bouillon and another cup of water if needing more liquid.

I saw my internist on a follow-up also this afternoon, after I had my blood work done on Monday, it was sent to him the very next day, and today I was allowed to access it online, before my office visit.

This is what happens when I went off of my 40 mg. Simvastatin, 160 mg. Fenofibrate, both cholesterol medications and Gabapentin 100 mg. twice a day for spasms and pain, for one whole month!
My kidneys were amazingly NORMAL with a GFR of 69, below 59 is not, from having previously with too many months in the GFRs of 50, 55, 50 arena, my glucose came in at 94, below 100 is normal, and most all of my liver enzymes were in the normal range... Yay for all of that!

Except for one liver enzyme that being my Alt (SGPT) was high at 47, with 0-32 being the normal range... My total cholesterol was high at 282, below 199 is what is in the "normal" range and my triglycerides also high at 184 normal range is 0-149, LDL/HDL ratio also high at 3.4 with normal range being 0.0-3.2, my LDL is also very high at 189 when the normal range is 0-99! Blood pressure at 124 over 60!

According to Dr. Luis Casanova though I can go three months with too high cholesterol numbers, but the aim is to continue to get the liver enzymes down so I can be a part of the clinical trial for the Multiple Sclerosis medication that Dr. Montoya my neurologist is doing!
And I am almost there!
So next month I will again have more blood work and an office visit to see if the plan is working.
See I am being carefully monitored!

Now if I can get it out of my head that every head ache is not a stroke nor every heart palpitation is not a heart attack, which both are possible with the Russian Roulette game I am playing with my health... I will bid you a very... Happy good night all! And wish me luck!

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House said Wednesday that President Donald Trump's proposed Washington meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin had been delayed until 2019, citing the ongoing probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Putin had already sent signals that the White House meeting wasn't going to happen.

National security adviser John Bolton said in a statement that Trump believed his next meeting with Putin should take place "after the Russia witch hunt is over," a reference to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. Bolton said they agreed the meeting would be "after the first of the year."

The White House said last week that Trump had directed Bolton to invite Putin to visit Washington in the fall, moving quickly for a follow-up meeting amid the backlash over Trump's performance at a news conference with Putin following their Helsinki summit last week.

Many members of Congress had objected to the two leaders meeting again in the fall and said Putin would not be welcome on Capitol Hill.

The decision also came days after the White House rejected a Putin-backed effort to hold a referendum in eastern Ukraine on the region's future. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Wednesday, prior to the announcement, that the U.S. would never recognize Russia's annexation of Crimea and demanded that Ukraine's territorial integrity be restored.

Other signs had already emerged raising doubts about the second Trump-Putin summit. On Tuesday, Putin's foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov threw cold water on the prospect of Putin accepting Trump's invitation to visit the White House.

Ushakov told journalists in Moscow that no preparations were underway for a meeting in Washington and there were "other options that our leaders could consider," such as the late November meeting of the Group of 20 in Argentina or another international event that both would attend.

Trump has long been seeking to bring Putin to Washington for a meeting. The president met with Putin on the sidelines of two international summits last year — first Germany, then Vietnam — and both times he invited his Russian counterpart to the White House, according to three current and former administration officials. He reiterated the invitation on a call with Putin in the spring.

Now the question is... what does this really mean?

Is this perhaps a reality check of a realization in the case of, " I will

stop this lunacy before you (Putin) do (does)?"

Or as many of us partial/bias observers and Putin has felt is that it  

was not going to happen so let's make it look like it was my(DJ)  

idea first, well thought out but radical decision?

Or might he again change his mind like he did with North Korea's 

Kim Jong Un? On again, off again, on again meet and greet?

Everyday is a new drama, isn't it here on our own personal reality 

TV station with this show called AMERICA, love it or Leave it!

Yes! We are on the world stage airing our dirty laundry daily, due 

to dotty ole Uncle Donny!

World please understand, he is just a member of our 300 plus

 million people that live here, and we attract all types.

And some believe since they have been here for too many 

generations that we can not deport them... case in point like our

Although, daily he does give us pause with a modicum of cause to 

consider that possibility more seriously!

Russia shouldn't worry either way really, since Uncle Donny  

never reports with any accuracy what actual transpires at any of  

his closed door meeting, excuse me, "summits".

No notes or transcripts are taken or allowed... hmmmm wonder 

why that is...NO I WAS KIDDING! We all know why... no paper 

trails or sound bites, oh wait that doesn't matter because even 

when there are many recordings, Pres DJ either doesn't recognize 

his own voice or just tells everyone it wasn't him!

Liar, liar, pants on fire... your nose is growing!

In closing, this all feels so familiar, again our Orange Frothy 

Haired Guy is at it once more.

As I said, like that he reminds me of that sad slightly off relative 

that none of us wants to admit has issues, although with him we 

must since he has way too much power and that makes him 

scary...

reasoning has not worked with his chosen people, in his ever 

changing cabinet try to advise him and he rarely listens so he fires 

them and onward he goes with his missteps that he consistently  

consistently refuses to learn from, even when his chosen minion 

explains to him why this or that is not right or true, or legal or in 

our constitution!

There is reading material for him to use and try to learn all about
