Wondering how often in the last few weeks that I wrote about...

...my health?
Not too much lately, hmm?
So I suppose that I could write a bit tonight, if that's alright with you all? I can't hear you! So I guess I will take that as a YES!
See not a genuine southerner, even after thirty-one years of living here full-time, natives will not allow you to claim to native-ness, but I do try at times to use the dialect for sweetness and light, ya know?

Any-who, today has not been a very good one.
My back problems that have something to do with my Multiple Sclerosis as well as my spinal stenosis can really create havoc with me moving, ya know what I mean?
MS is a short circuit, or stripping of the fatty layer known as the myelin sheath covering the nerves that carry electrical signals, and stenosis is narrowing of the bones in my spine, put them together and what have you got?
A VERY BIG OUCH!

Not that I am complaining, oh yes I am, but after all neither are lethal, just gosh darn annoying and painful! Though feeling pain is sometimes better than NOT feeling pain, if ya know what I mean?

After weaning myself down from the 1200 mg. of Gabapentin to only 600 mg. once again a few weeks ago; I am in no mood to go back up, pun intended, at this time!
So here I lie in bed again; arriving via my convertible walker transformed into a transporter, Hubby did the rolling me into the bed, and basically this is where I have been since breakfast!
NOT GOOD!

Well, all I can say is we gotta do we gotta do!

Moving on...

The rain today has been fairly regular, although reaching a fever pitch of intensity just a while ago.
Sounded like a deluge! Earlier, just gentle, nearly not more than a mist, a whisper perhaps, but not really even a peep.

One thing this state of Florida and Texas and the islands do not need is more rain!

See Cape Coral all that worry months ago about their browned out lawns?
Now they were hit pretty darn hard by Hurricane Irma and many seawalls took the brunt of the water saturation due to street flooding, and in turn those seawalls came tumbling down, and the cost to repair them without being insured, since no companies were said to insure them is a price tag in the tens of thousands of dollars for each home! And its your own responsibility not the city's. I heard one mention of 50K just for the seawall! Some have the maintenance in their tax base, but not them, if I understand right.

And their mayor there worries about a housing problem with people leaving them due to them being unable to pay for repairs and having upside down mortgages, and all those homes without seawalls threatening falling into canals! SCARY!
Hope all works out for them.
FEMA could be the answer, since it is hurricane related and FEMA does have very low interest loans.

Lying here with my shades already drawn due to the rain causing premature darkness along with the gloom that such days bring, it does give one time to reflect though.

Perhaps, Hubby and I and Gus should hit the road and get out of here?

Who knows...sounds like a great idea to me!

On that note of trying to make lemonade out of lemons, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to share all those blessings and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

SAVE THE WORLD AND SAVE YOURSELF!
