Homestyle healthier baked; if they are baked are they really fries?

Any-who...Figure a potato per person and you will still have leftovers!
For this time I used Idaho Russets that work very well and most commercial fries are made with them.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Peel your potatoes, rinse then cut each in half and then quarters and on and on till they are the size of thin pencil sticks.
Next I use my glass loaf pan with them put inside with water half way up on them and covered that with a paper towel to place in the microwave anywhere from six to ten minutes depending on how many potatoes and their size, after five minutes test for fork tenderness, the fork should go in and come out easily.
Once that is attained you are ready to with stove mitts remove it from the microwave and drain into a colander, and pat dry while in there with another dry paper towel.
Next spray a full size cookie sheet with PAM, and then spread carefully all fries onto it, after that then spray the fries and sprinkle with sea salt or whatever flavors you like, garlic, paprika, chili powder, whatever or even nothing is fine too!
Dipping sauces are used by many.
I personally still prefer a ketchup without high fructose corn syrup.
Fries/bakes will take approximately ten minutes to finish cooking in the oven, if so desired *broil for two to three minutes for a more golden brown appearance on top and for more crispiness. * But always keep an eye on it under the broiler for safety's sake!  ENJOY! Works as well with sweet potatoes too! The whole thing to make took less than a half an hour and store bought takes at least twenty five minutes and those have a microcosm of additives we cannot pronounce; at least with these you know what's in them, and they are extremely cost effective too!
The best way to spread on the cookie sheet is with using tongs, and the suggestion of the broiler is so that way you do not have to turn them over! Easy peasy!

And to think like so many other things it all started out of need, well not really need, no one actually NEEDS FRIES, although some might disagree... bud dump bum! If you keep potatoes in your kitchen you always have fries! Same with fruit and sherbet...another day another time...!

Moving on...

Weather threatened again today, pool now has too high chlorine so it has to calm down anyway before I go in. Hubby took the boat out for bait fish, but even the pro-fishermen haven't been able to get them either! And that was from one he met while out there!

Oh those fries were served with homemade Cole slaw too, and wings from Winn Dixie for dinner!
I do buy, these days, already chopped multi-colored cabbage that comes in a bag, meaning red and white cabbage with carrots too and I make my own secret sauce...oh all right, light Dukes mayo, apple cider vinegar, olive oil and stevia!
Simple and light and healthier too!

On that note allow me to wish all of you a very happy good night and share those blessings please and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
