26.8 and counting!

Plateaus and slowing and wiggling has occurred over the last one day short of six weeks, but still a tally of one to be very proud of, 26.8 pounds have fallen from this still too large frame but counting!
When out this past Sunday the hostess told me that she had lost eighty-six pounds in a year with her bariatric surgery, a different type from mine though, less invasive hers was!
The sleeve one that I had actually removes two thirds of your stomach leaving you with a literal banana sized stomach, but when you go from a BMI of 19 to a 40  and can no longer exercise, although eat well it was my last resort, truly!
But eighty-six pounds more for me would be down to my old svelte self!
A year, though?
That is only less than eight pounds a month, seems a little too slow at two pounds a week, although if you are on any other regular diets that is what they feel is right, but surgically is different, and should be faster, I think. I suppose slow and steady wins the race though!

Moving on...

Any-who, today I had another bariatric doctor's appointment with the doctor himself and he was happy with my progress and felt I should up my protein from sixty grams to seventy, which should keep me losing weight!
So I will.
He also is giving me another prescription for more PT, mixed bag there, but the only way to do moving of any kind.
I was supposed to be done Friday.

Next when he saw that I do have Lupus anticoagulant he recommended telling our sons, since it is a genetic anomaly, and it can cause strokes, heart attacks, thrombosis, phlebitis, and miss-carriages in women, but he doesn't know if it can be through their male partner/husband.
But better safe than sorry, so I emailed them both, due to one being on a cruise and he won't receive it till he is home, he goes unplugged and the other son is not speaking to me.
They can get a simple blood test, maybe two to be sure like mine twelve weeks apart.
And if the younger son is considering children I would hate for he and his wife to go through the heartbreak of miss-carriages that we went through three times, and I almost lost him too in my third month. The doctor verified that forty plus years ago they did not know anything about this issue.
Fortunately, what I read it can be fixable with proper medication and monitoring.

On this note of accomplishing, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all of your overages with you know whom we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
