"Alea iacta est", Latin for, "The die is cast", attributed to Julius Caesar, January 10 49 B.C.

The meaning of the above statement is reaching the point of no return, for Caesar it was as he led his army across the Rubicon river in Northern Italy.
For me it is my two surgeries that too have reached the point of no return, that is; I am committed and so are all medicos or perhaps I should be committed afterwards? Ha.
I have been questioned by the hospital nurse to verify all medications, allergies and previous surgeries.
My time to go in for the first one, surgery, has been verified and is very near.
Interesting how the derivation of so many quotes and expressions are utilized in  modern times?

There is a certain type of soap, Hibiclens, an antiseptic skin cleanser, that you must use the night before for surgeries these days. It is also used for doctors before surgery for their hands and open wounds and such, although it says if gotten in the eyes or ears to flush with water immediately! Can cause irritation... and me with sensitive skin.
Is this a new thing?
I bet it prevents those nosocomial infections?
I have no issue with that at all.
But the night before even when you are someone who showers in the morning too?
I guess that is a good thing?

Enough already!
I have got to stop worrying about everything!
That Serenity Prayer changing things you can and accepting things you can't and knowing the difference, paraphrased. I was using it for years before I found out it was used most often for people with addictions in recovery programs, who knew, I was fairly naïve about those things, not young by any means though, by then in my forties.
I was in a locker room with my seniors while changing out of wet bathing suits after I had taught my Aquacise class the sports rehab and one of my seventy-five-ish students told me.
All I knew is I had heard it somewhere and it had become my sort of Mantra for dealing with losing both of my parents the decade before, four years apart.
Funny how that seems to help me so often in life.
Decent words to live by, exact quote here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serenity_Prayer

On that note, of never too old to learn and twenty years later I still am, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all of your blessings and share all of those overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Orange Frothy Haired Guy own up to the truth!
Step down from the race and try hard to regain your sanity before you reach the point of no return, oh wait Alea iacta est is here; it's too late! So sorry, continue... the end is near!
