"My Mom's New Boyfriend", is its name, circa 2008:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Mom%27s_New_Boyfriend, Meg Ryan, Antonio Banderas, Colin Hanks, yep and he played Meg's son, weird seeing that and sort of refreshing since Meg and Tom Hanks, his dad, were each others love interests in Sleepless in Seattle way back in 1993:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleepless_in_Seattle, it was almost as if it was just so right.
And of course Colin looks exactly like his dad.
The whole pretense caught my attention since the Mom, a widow, was a very large unhealthy gal smoking and drinking soda pop when her son Henry, Colin, goes off for training in the FBI for three years and when he returns to their home in Shreveport Louisiana he calls to his Mom searching the house and he goes out to their backyard and there is a swimming pool that is new and a very shapely woman sunning herself on a lounge, and guess what? It is his Mom!
She found Buddhism and Kabala while he was gone, in her own travels to India and elsewhere, and turned her life around!
Fun ensues and her choices of boyfriends are quite varied in age as well as professions, thus the title.
Until Tommy, Antonio... Oh dear I have said too much, but if you missed it you might want to try it...I was hooked with her transformation, physically and demeanor wise.
Moving on...
Hubby continues to work on the new shower and so even with Number One Son calling to wish me a Happy Mother's Day early this morning that was lovely, I know that I did forget to mention that he had given us two flat screen TVs last year, one bigger and one smaller than the one we bought and that is a 40", and neither fit the space in our large breakfront bookcase thingy! The smaller one is in our bedroom and the larger is in the sun room and we watch that one when we eat in our dinette the view is just right from there.
I know that most people are getting away from TVs and using their phones and laptops or other adaptive devices, but we enjoy movies together.
We considered Netflix streaming that would come through our WIFI on the new TV for only $9.99 a month, but it does not have any of the flicks we chose in our queue with them oddly enough and there are ten right now.
And we only pay $8.55 for them a month, so now we have to decide if we want both or not, the first month of streaming as you all know is free.
Perhaps we might try it?
VUDU and YouTube also come up on this new TV too, if we want without cable that we haven't had since 1994, would you believe?
We have time to decide.
Any-who, my Mom's day has been pleasant and Hubby is picking up our dinner at Red Lobster right now, two lobster bisques, two seafood samplers and one Caesar salad, yep Hubby nixed the veggies again.
On that note of what more can anyone ask for, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy healthy safe and peaceful good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages with you know whom and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
PS Moms out there Happy Mother's Day to you all!
