Learning the ropes... so to speak

Paid my usual monthly bills online today, been doing it for nearly two decades. Although, my first for on the cell phone, also printed out my receipt.

Not so easy as one might think, well you all know. I found paying off my
Visa bill as I do monthly the whole thing, we charge everything due to those monetary rewards of thirty five or fifty bucks every other month, you might laugh, but it does add up!

So we average about fifteen hundred monthly that we pay in full each and every month.
For some strange reason when I paid all the others, no problem, but on the four digit charges on the Visa it either would zero out or add another digit, either way it was not co-operating until about five or six persistent tries; I finally did it! See getting the hang.
These keys are so tiny compared to the notebook's keys and it's not that big with only a ten inch screen and comparable sized keyboard.

Moving on...

Had my follow-up from the sleep test. I apparently do have sleep apnea when I sleep on my back not when on my side.
But due to my ear I have been sleeping more often on my back and with my bariatric sleeve surgery I will too, and so I will be receiving the sleep apnea breathing apparatus within the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
Oh well, another malady added to my laundry list.
Better to know and treat though.

On this note of oh my, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night, and ask you all to share all of your blessings and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

So I wanted to write something...

...and after a fairly uneventful day, I received an email that upset me.
Actually, at first it made me happy and excited. The email was from FedEx saying that my notebook was on its way back to me!
Yay, hooray!
Much sooner than I had thought.

But to my disappointment when I scrolled down it said it would arrive on September 7 th , in eight days? Not at all what I had been told or agreed to, it was supposed to be shipped either overnight or two day express, while writing this another email just update stated it was being shipped via ground delivery and the arrival date has not changed!
Asus and Mr. Robert Tinsley to you I am a very unhappy customer!

Mr. Tinsley was my so- called  liaison and corporate contact. Very disappointed by this!
If it hadn't taken two tries to rectify the problem it would have been resolved the first time.
As of today my computer has been out of my possession fourteen days, and now additionally eight more!
To me that appears to be rather excessive and just plain wrong!

Any-who, I will not be dealing any longer with the Asus company upon the return of my computer!

PS when I tried to email back to Mr. Tinsley it stated his email was no longer working! It sent back English and Asian writings with a long form to be filled out with unknown to me info and ridiculous questions, aggravating.
I still have his phone contact number that I will try tomorrow.
Frustrating!

On this too many questions note and not enough answers, allow me to be the very first to wish you all a very happy good night, and ask you all to share all of your blessings and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Psych!

After last night's blog some may be wondering if tonight's title refers to my sanity, but no and yes.

Part of the pre-testing for bariatric surgery is a pyschological test to determine your reasoning for having the procedure, mine being the sleeve, where they basically remove most of your stomach and redirect where the  food goes into a smaller space thus causing weight loss drastically. If to look like you did in high school is a nay, but to live longer and be healthy is a yay!
I went for the healthy vote!

The head doc, as Hubby called him, said he would be giving me a YAY!
And that he would email to me his report this weekend!
See, even PhD mind men know that I may act wacky sometimes, but in reality I am as normal as you are; whatever that is and are you, too?

On that note of so what, allow me to be the very first to wish you all a very happy good night, and ask you all to share all those blessings and we will too.

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Tell all title

Expose, tantalizing, titillating, torrid, scantily clad, tormented souls, indecently displaying PDA!
Huh?
You heard/read me!!!!!
Filth!
Flawed fixtures!
Favored guests!
Towel-less!
Demeaning necessaries!
Where we place our most private parts!
Nakedly posturing privacy.
Bending conforming so luxuriously.
And that's my bathroom, how is yours?
Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha, to you too!

Good night until the morrow.

Pu pu platter, egg drop soup, orange chicken combo!

Good comfort food!
Chinese American food, since most is not served in China!
Or is it?
Why is Chinese food alright to consume, but we are considered disloyal if we purchase other Chinese or made in China products?
Lead?
Not funny.
Just a thought.

Any-who, since a child I have associated Chinese food with family and comfort, odd? I think not; after all I am a Jew, Geez it's almost a tradition! LOL!

Yes, we even cut our non-Kosher teeth on pork fried rice without too much guilt, not to mention those great spare ribs! Beef? I think not, ha.

Another one of those no longer too taboo topics, hmm? We've come a long way babies! Hypocrisy? Nah, but I think my very kosher cousin was, two sets of dishes and everything one for dairy and another set for meat, but cooked bacon outside on the barbecue, okay, no harm, no foul... Who cares; not me, since I'm not kosher, only as a kid going to the Catskills!
Anyway, it prepared me for my Catholic husband, maybe?

Who knows...forty-five plus years what does religion have to do with it, hmm?

Something to think about, hmm?

On another note of insignificant babble allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy  good night, and please share all those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Contentious

Contentious: meaning is to cause an argument, controversial.

Today was one of those types of days.
Without giving too much away it was an argumentative day, but by the end of the day successful.
And no, it was not with Hubby!
A business frustration, again, but seems to be resolved that is it will be soon.

Moving on...

Actually, to conclude yesterday's itinerary. My last stop before home was to the dermatologist for my ear recheck on the pressure sore healing. I had one antibiotic pill left, and although it looked to be getting better it left a bloody yellow mess on my BBB special ear pillow case and it is still sore.
I was given three choices on what to do now.

One: have another biopsy.
Two: to use the topical prescription steroid medication twice a day for three weeks.
Three: go to a surgeon and have him surgically remove the cartilage that keeps having the issue.

I decided that "one" was redundant, since I already have had two biopsies that were proven to be benign, but that could be a last resort. (Always a silly millimeter off so they say.)

The second choice seemed the least intrusive, first do no harm and all that, besides I still have two tubes left of the prescription.

The third choice would definitely be an extreme choice and probably deforming, but if all else fails...nah I enjoy my short haircut too much. It would be different if it was cancerous then of course I would do it!

On those TMI notes allow me to be the very first to wish you all a very happy good night, and ask you all to share all of your blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Tired

Who isn't?
Dreary wet loud shocking weather.
Conducive to tiredness.
So I slept and oddly enough it did not refresh.
Why?
Who knows, but still very tired.
Started the day riding with Hubby to return the sleep testing equipment in Venice.
From there to Punta Gorda for lunch at Jack's on Marion for their luscious Calypso seafood bisque soup and salad, all you can eat. Mine was Caesar this time with anchovies, it's been years since I had any. They were an interesting memory of how that used to be the way all Caesar salads were served. I used to also get them on my pizza.
Hubby had his usual too roast beef, un jous, we both had ice water with lemon s on the side. I only had a second cup of that incredible soup due to Hubby sharing and the salad was so enormous I didn't even finish the first serving!

Body is not only very weak with exhaustion, shoulders are very sore and that makes this hard to do!
Supper half eaten...done.
Good night.
There's more to tell ...till tomorrow!

About a pal

My Dad had a great sense of humor.
I say "had", only because he's dead and it's proper grammar.
Oh he lived what used to be considered a long life; that is thirty years ago. He was seventy- nine when he passed away, sounds nicer than dead, and that is what we would say back in 1986! Gosh, it has been thirty years.
People would say how much they enjoyed him due to his easy going fun loving personality.
But as things went while growing up, during my teen years in public I was foolishly embarrassed by his antics.
Dad did sure know how to get me out that too serious teenager mode, by making me laugh at myself.
Gosh, I miss him.
Wish I had his gift.
The reason I  thought about this was due to my Facebook friend who wears many career hats, and one of those is as a stand-up comic. She said to have a sense of humor with handling my MS, and that actually is probably what my Dad would have said.

PS  my Dad was smart funny, not goofy! Okay sometimes.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Working on a better me daily! Well today anyway; one day at a time, okay!

Late, too late!?

For me!
Okay real quick I had my last PT till after surgery today, rest for a few then went pick up my sleep test equipment in Venice traffic was horrid and a half hour trip nearly an hour, we ate at the Hibachi Grill Buffet, also horrid, took Pepcid in the car on the way home, but have a terrible headache and I am very nauseas, the end, whew!
Was it as good for you as for me, ha?

Monday, August 22, 2016

Computer-less!

Once more, what a bore.
Rhyming is fine if one has the time.
I do, do you?
Bloody Monday, what can I say Vampira gal took my ruby jeweled fluid and won't give it back no matter how much I offered to pay!
Ha, ha, ha they say that they need it whatever I may...to continue to...
Telling, yes telling perhaps why or what is causing my body's swelling?
Oh me, oh my and boo hoo all this silly is just for you! So poo!

Moving on...

Most all of us have had testing done for one reason or another.
Re: medical tests
Nearly done this week more: sleep, blood was done this morning with urine, h pyloric tomorrow morning.
Toughy has to do with you nearly becoming a lab tech with three vials being filled with toxic chemicals and feces specimens going into each one, shake, ha. Seems like a lot of work for a civilian.
Did I say yuck? No? Then YUCK!

All kidding aside we know as frustrating and annoying as all these tests seem to be they are necessary.
For what or why only the docs know and they are not telling, sure they do try to using double speak, hmm? Which causes the need for a translator or at the very least a great medical dictionary, true?

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings.

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Three Strikes and I am NOT OUT!

Relatable Mrs. T here... case in point, below.
How many of you out there had to go into a lab for fasting blood work?
For me fairly regularly, at first every three months, now every six all due to types of conditions I have high blood pressure, hypothyroid, high cholesterol and borderline type two diabetes for the medications that I am taking for them being regulated to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing and for the most part for these last ten years they have been,
Last month I had my usual six month blood work for my internist, but when I came home my surgeon's office had sent a script for an elaborate blood work script to be done plus a lot of other things as well.
When I saw my internist to have my lab results told to me when asked about the overlap of blood work with the surgeon's being a bit more complex she, the internist, suggested that I wait until I was due to see the surgeon ten days prior to my office visit.
But wait there's more, you following this, never mind, any-who when the surgeon called me back last week they said that I should do the blood work now since there is so many that some need weeks to get results, huh?
Anyway, since I spoke with them, last week, I have been trying to get the blood work done.
Crazy as it might seem every morning that I have been getting up I forget to hold the Stevia in my coffee! I drink it black without cream of milk just that Stevia.
Silly, hmm?
A problem since it could throw an A1C test off for diabetes just like sugar, although it has zero calories.
Here's my weird dilemma for the last few morning we were going to go I forgot not to put the Stevia in!
Perhaps, I have some odd reasoning for not going, who knows?
Its got to be like some unconscious reason deep within my brain doing this thing, ya know?
Maybe not.
Only I should know, but I don't, really.
Less than two months till the surgeries, so no pressure, but I still feel positive some day this week it will get done!

Moving on...

On the binge watching front I received several notices today that NCIS season thirteen was now available.

*This blog was written on 8-21-16 but for some reason I did not get the draft published...so here it is!

Crash!

So I turned on my techno device, translation, "notebook", first thing this morning and the last thing that I had remembered is that it was installing updates and somehow from that when I arose to a...BLUE SCREEN in the morning! Giving righteous meaning to the expression, feeling blue, you betcha!
Telling or that should be asking me if I wanted to use the computer or wipe it clean for some unclear reason!
I chose the former, since it's the only one that I still have for ... that is until I send it back on Monday and then I will have none again!
So as anyone can well imagine when they bring you all the way back to store bought nothingness there is a lot to do retrieving your personal sites, for me: yahoo, Facebook and blogger as well as Netflix etc.. Not to mention trying to remember how to reinstall my anti-virus!
For that I had to contact the Geek Squad, and they did reinstall my paid for till this December Webroot for free, but MacAfee kept interfering so that was uninstalled. A bit of touch and go for awhile there.
Monday's problem of it being sent back due to the battery not fully charging seems so small with this other much BIGGER ONE!
I still haven't tweaked it all to my satisfaction.
Headers and bottoms, that's not right but you know what I mean access to other sites and tools etc. are still out of sight unless I look hard for them.
I was able to enlarge the font on my home page and reinstated yahoo as that again.
As I was asked by the Geek Squad a question our home phone number to give me a code the phone rang at a rather too early hour to the not happy awakening of Hubby, and I did answer it on the first ring! And yet he was truly angry with me a good portion of the day.
NO FUN!
Much better now though.

Any-who, as I said I was able to retrieve all my necessary sites except for those issues I mentioned above.

Moving on...

My most recent binge watching on Netflix I am sort of proud or ashamed of according to maybe your attitudes about such things, but all seven seasons of the Gilmore Girls was accomplished, and I have since moved on to Murder She Wrote! There are twelve seasons of that, so I am still good on the entertaining myself front.
Very, very, very important to ward off depression for anyone with stress due to family, medical
or just about any reason... mindless entertainment is good for you and me.
Especially with my two surgeries coming up and me being at high risk but knowing that I have no choice.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Interesting follow-ups

Hubby did a maneuver that was amazing and worked.
He called back the committee woman's missing secretary's office and the person who answered was told to tell her, the secretary to the committee woman, to call him back between three and three thirty today, she called at three twelve!

I did hear from corporate at the computer company via email saying that they did a pass test on the computer and that is why nothing had been done it was found compliant with their standards, but I wrote back with my insistence that it does not hold a charge and that it should, being so new and verified by the Geek Squad that it should be able to be fully charged not just in the 80's% for three years yet and so they will this time be giving me a new battery!
I also requested overnight deliveries each way and am currently waiting on the response to this.
Another week seems too obsessive time wise to wait again.

Moving on...

My ear has not healed again, and so it was back to the dermatologist's again and another dosing of anti-biotic for seven more days. I was only off of them for four.
This is one more chronic condition that makes me frustrated.
The pain was behind the ear going down the neck into my shoulder, now another reason why that left side is not good.
My new pillow to remove the pressure from my ear to help prevent the pressure sores is great and its case is now in the laundry due to my ear exuding yellow and red fluids from it, not nice, oh well!
Sorry about the TMI!

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!

It finally happened...

...to my chagrin.
Last night many read my published blog, nearly two dozen, but no one responded to whether they liked it or not...BUMMER!
I suppose harping on negativity is frowned on most everyday, especially with what is going on in this world (compared to let's say Jupiter's, Mars etc., ha, hmm?)
Olympian faking a robbery to hide a wild drunken night time experience;  Frothy Orange Haired Guy/ presidential candidate still acting like a rectal opening, sound better, guess not too, oh well?
A murderous cannibal devouring faces and posting his debauchery on YOUTUBE; no less, horrid!

But folks my negativity is a walk in the park compared to the ones that I just mentioned above and again I am confused why a company would send back a product that was in for repairs that was undone or not repaired and still not functioning as it should have been with a simple replacement of its battery that was what they knew needed to be taken care done, do you know why or how this can happen?
And why would a committee person not return a call, and how could a secretary be coming back in a few minutes at two thirty in the afternoon and still not be heard from a week and several hours later, perhaps this should be a 48 hours or Dateline story/segment, curiouser and curiouser, methinks?

Frustration is all I am saying with people not doing what they are paid for or voted in to office for; you get it, don't you? This is small scale stuff not national. Although, my computer company is American based, out in California! Name will be divulged if still not fixed!
The committee woman is local.
But the thing is I do know that I am not alone dealing with such people! Similar stories just different locales or businesses.

Oh I did get my surgery date that is in two months from now approximately, so much to still get done.
Nutritionist appointment in two weeks, blood work sooner, phycologist eval when she finally calls, the vascular surgeon is scheduled two weeks before surgery for consult and then again for out patient surgery with him a week before the major surgery to install the doohickey to prevent blood clots that will be temporary for sixty not thirty days I have been told, lots to get done!
Guess I won't need my 81 mg. nightly of coated aspirin that I have been on since my TIA in 2006.

 My conclusions:
Caring and responsibility in manufacturing is preferred, we need answers to why not being fixed, their solution: sending us another express label, yep to send it back again with a week turnaround, how truly marvelous, not!
Local government employee voted into office, our resolve: either go back in person or bombard with more calls, but we did wait one week, patient enough I think, you too I bet! Flummoxed.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Corporate is to call me about the computer in 24/48 hours (Another show title perhaps, ha?) before its sent back my reasoning, do not want nothing to be done AGAIN.

Wouldn't you just know it?

Proper grammar?
Any-who, my laptop that I do know now that it is actually a notebook as per manufacturer, well it is baaaaack!
Still waiting on it to gain a full charge, it says it's at 86% and will be fully charged in 13 minutes, I don't know about that, that was a claim that it had before it completely crapped out... we will see what we will see, hmm?
Does it have to be turned completely off to hold a complete charge?
Can it be overcharged?
No one has given me any exact return info.
In fact the original box that we had kept and returned it in was not returned with it, what's with that? (Hubby was annoyed by that, since he packed it in it quite professionally I might add.)

I did learn a few things while my laptop, sorry notebook, Gosh I am only used to the paper ringed types, anyway, while it was at the techno hospital and that is that I truly have a "smart phone" although not the higher price kind, and it is an Android, but of course and definitely not a piece of fruit.
Makes sense to me since a droid is mechanical, but fruit isn't, ha, got it?

Love to all, be well, peace and share all those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS can someone remind me how to change my password on Yahoo, I've seem to forgotten, and Asus has my password?

Monday, Monday, cant change the day.

In reality it has been quite a while since a Monday meant that much to me. Start of school or work week for many.
Being a retired bum for all these years some days we even forget what day it is.
Sad?
Or cool, yep we are a couple of cool kids?
Maybe, not kids anymore, and some days not too cool, due the thermostat saying it's too darn hot outside these days, even some Mondays!
Where was I, oh that's right Mondays never got me down, why?
I loved school and work most days!
What's not to like, truly?
It was somewhere to go and something to do without thought; alright some thought.
Now we have to think, all of the time, and occasionally that's harder now.
Not always, but some days.
Decisions!
Planning keeps things happening, and any day of the week is perfect for that!
Remember when becoming a retired folk start each day with a plan, hobbies, errands, appointments and travel, etc. Life goes on when you plan for it, of course it will.
Keep busy in body and mind.
I do with PT and my blog.
Hubby does with yard work and phone games!
Of course so many other ways we do too!
Odd being busy whether retired or working some days do run together even then, hmm?
So such can be life, and that's okay I guess, sure it is...
Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Better now!

Sometimes we must all admit even you "well ones" that the mechanics of our finely tuned soft structures that we dwell in, called our bodies are not only amazing, but baffling  too.
As mine did once again this morning.
My left arm was particularly uncooperative and painful in that extraordinary way of nerve electrifying, emanating excruciatingly pain from my shoulder blade all the way to and through my hand! Not fun, and in need of attention by someone who knows how to fix this appendage that was becoming an ornery problem.
Lucky for me that I was scheduled for physical therapy again today at eleven with Jaye.
After a short question and answer period to determine if my issue was what we both thought causing the malfunction; nerve pinching due my cervical stenosis or my Multiple sclerosis, either way I was first getting a massage and then a large neck through shoulder covering ice pack was applied to the afore mentioned location,
so my legs were stretched instead of me being stood up on the parallel bars today; I had been doing good.
After Jaye treated my left shoulder the pain diminished from an eight to a four/five on their pain scale!
Nice that I had PT today!

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Homemade Bean Soup in Summer heat!?

Hot outside but hopefully never inside!
Overcast and gloomy as if a snow storm was coming in, but of course not here in Florida with being inside with air-conditioning due to the oppressive heat
, only our normal afternoon thunderstorms.
Being a Jersey gal it still reminds me of those snowy days, even thirty years later, due to that ominous foreboding sky, thus the need for the homey comfort food! Mmmmm, mmmmm and oh so good!
We had a bag and half left of that fifteen bean kind in the pantry.
A half bag is plenty for only the two of us.
Stewed tomatoes and sautéed onions and garlic make it mighty tasty too.
I use the quick method on the instruction bag.

Geez, the storm has come in.
Even with all our surge protectors I worry about power failures; they do have a tendency to happen here.

Thus my finishing now.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings.

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Nothing special

It must be a cliche to say that it was just one of those days, hmm?
Streaming fanatically would you believe, The Gilmore Girls?
So far if I can recall them all, my choices have been:  Bones, NCIS, Grace and Frankie,  Breaking Bad,  Better Call Saul, The Glades, and a few others that I did not  continue! The ones named were guilty pleasured in their entirety on Netflix all of their available seasons!  Not the Gilmore Girls yet have been completed, seven seasons are listed and so far I am only up to season four.
The new ones are said to begin again this November, the originals were on from 2000-2007, so it has been nine years!
And I truly enjoy it so much that I am definitely looking forward to the continuing of the show in the fall. We had watched when they originally aired.
I highly recommend any of those above binge worthy shows, that is if you haven't already devoured them.
Eclectic in taste, but all fine entertainment.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings.

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

And so it goes...

I really, really wanted to let my hair grow, but today I decided to cut it nearly all off!
Decisions to do so was quickly made after I had to ask Hubby to blow dry it this morning! My arms were not willing to complete the task. Low blow, pun intended, a smidge of devastation too.

Next I will be asking for help in the bathroom, NOT EVER! Hope to die before then, maybe not... but you all can understand, true?

Any-who, PT was again today with Jeff and I beat my own personal best with standing four plus minutes in four divided increments, but I did it!
Silly, really that so much we take for granted sometimes we shouldn't, ya know.

After was the big decision fulfilled, but does look nice and it is easy care; just wash and let air dry!
I have had this short plenty of times before, especially while teaching Aquatics for those four years.
No fuss no muss truly, ha.
The longer hair made my neck too warm anyway.
And this style although short doesn't even make me look like a pin head, ha!

We had lunch at Olympia, Hubby meatloaf and mashed potatoes with green beans plus New England clam chowder, me house salad and shrimp Creole, ice water and side of lemons for both!

Too much girly stuff tonight sorry friends, but even at this older version of the girl I once was it's days like today that makes me realize how quickly things appear to change in one's life and that makes me slightly sad.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS : Forgive the introspective reflecting; but I seem to lose a little of what makes me me every day, oops!

Writing

Sadly I've been trying to communicate my daily experiences but I have no idea if anyone is reading this.  Today we went to building permits to discuss our desire to build an awning approximately 20'X20' to protect me and my computerized ride from rain and heat. The awning came in at just under $1500, but the permit is $880! To me it seems ridiculously out of proportion at more than fifty percent of the cost of the project! I did Google the average price for a permit for an awning nationally and for a 12'X19' awning system in Clark County Nevada was a mere $26! What's wrong with this picture, I ask you? Very upset. Love to all, be well, peace, and spread those blessings! And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!PS: anyone have any ideas?

Trying!

This might work, not too bad. I am quite thrilled. I was even able to pay the last bill of the month from here to my bill pay, our cell, Ta Da! Thankfully, my notebook should be back way before I need it! Although, this is proving where, there is will there is way, and here it is! That's all for now...                                       Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!    And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

More common than I thought...

http://cnhpillow.com/pressure_sores.php http://www.medic8.com/ear-disorders/hearing-loss/pressures.html

Apparently, at this point in my life I am not only elderly, but I am disabled too, thus the above problem being a common issue that I never realized could happen or even thought of as a possibility, ear pressure sores, i.e. if you don't feel like clicking on those above links with more info that I would have thought was out there or even existed, although interesting to me. There are two different sites, I know it looks like one long one. The first is informative, but also a commercial for their pillow that appears to be the cure for or an avoidance best way, the other is a clear-cut explanation, but also suggests removing pressure while sleeping and the pillows available with holes in them are truly appropriate for prevention!

*Most importantly I will be off line for about a week due to my computer going back to the manufacturer for a new battery install warranty extended due to faulty battery.

Love to all, be well, peace, and spread those blessings all over the place!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS: See you all, figuratively upon my computer's return to service. It only works now when plugged in.
That is unless I figure out how to write easier on my phone... who knows!

Sitting on one's own head diagnosis?

We arrived home safely in spite of torrential rains following us all the way, it was around one thirty.
We had only one message on the landline /house phone from Karen in my dermatologist's office asking me to call back to discuss their findings of my left ear scrapings and biopsy; the call was from Friday afternoon.
Always a little nervous when they call back sooner rather than later about these things, those tests were just done that Monday, since it's been my experience it is never good news, but this time it was not too bad news.
According to the two tests, which I had forgotten that there were two, well according to the results there was NO CANCER, just an infection and a PRESSURE SORE on my earlobe.
I swore I only sit on my buttocks, tushy, bum, derriere, etc. etc., but apparently lying on that side while sleeping and watching the TV has caused this returning issue, who would have thunk it, really!
I thought that pressure sores only happened to the elderly in nursing homes on their backs or on the way down to the lower level or those who were paralyzed and unable to move at all, so today I learned something new again!
Since the topical anti-biotic is not doing the job they called in an oral one too, only for seven days,  which Hubby picked up with a rotisserie chicken and sides, and milk and some other stuff, ice cream I think, all at Publix, the grocery store with a RX too.

I did get food poisoning on the trip again, from what I do not know, but it was nasty, so this medication probably will help that too.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Rain, rain dagnabbit, go away! Now!

Hot cold nauseous chills sporadic.
Hubby and I did go out today on our continuing journey of museums, make that one more...
Gale force winds with teaming down rain did put a damper on our travels today; pun intended.
MFA, Museum of Fine Art in St. Pete was over forty miles from our location in north Tampa.
The trek via our drive through highways where people change lanes like they are playing an unfriendly game of chicken!
But we survived and did eventually get to visit the museum after lunch at Stillwaters right across the street. Hubby had a Cuban sandwich with fries and I had their Cedar Key clam chowder with an actual clam including its shell in it with a compact/small Caesar salad, cold water and lemons on the side, no ice.
Being the museum was across from the restaurant even with the nasty rain I rolled across while Hubby put his left over fries in the cooler in the car.
The entrance, I thought had a sign that there was a wedding inside the museum, appearing to indicate not to use that entrance, which turned out to be only an emergency one. Another couple called to a man inside and knocked on the door and the security guard let us in as the canvas giant displays slapped/ snapped and nearly ripped in the nasty wind.
The ramp went right up to that door.
So what was I to think I had not been there before and from outside it did not indicate that it was an emergency one.
We spent about forty-five minutes perusing their exhibits that were from every era/century and from all over the world in all mediums, much to see.
Again free today with our Bank of America cards, saving $30 today for two!
Yesterday, only fifteen for the two saved.
Anyway, by the time we got back to the car even with our two umbrellas, one enormous for a family and the other a one person we were still damp and cold/chilled and actually put the heater on in the car, August in FLORIDA, and I even wrapped up in the velour towel that we bought to keep my ride's seat from getting hot, but it was brrr weather here!
So when we got back in to drive the only five blocks to the Florida Holocaust Museum that we would have gone via sidewalks if the weather was permitting, no parking was available and the time was getting late for Gus, so we opted on going home back to our hotel. We had been to the one, i.e. Holocaust museum, in Naples, and we vowed to come back for this larger one in the future.

Hubby just now called to tell me he found the Subway that he is getting our dinner from, tuna for me, and his?

That's all for now...

Love to all, be well, peace, and share all those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

So we turned on Animal Planet and made sure...

...that Gus had been well walked until he was relieved and was pleasantly tuckered out, also enough food and water to hold him until our return. His six toys, chosen out of his too many to count were in his smaller travel basket for him to access plus his bed was situated appropriately on Hubby's side of the king bed so I wouldn't run him over during the night. Even so Hubby said when he opened the door Gus was asleep on the easy chair in the corner, perhaps better viewing for the TV show?
The blinds were an iffy idea to leave open or not, barking could happen or our almost Snoopy-esque watching quiet guy could just enjoy the view, as he does when we watched him watching outside. The most important part is making sure no dangerous items to him were in reach, and the other main ingredient for a successful puppy home/hotel room alone is not leaving him longer than five hours as if home too. We arrived back within four!

We had a lovely time with Number One Son and his gal, lunch at the Olive Garden, they treated this time and insisted when they come by us we can treat them, since there was nearly an outright argument with the check flying back and forth.
The Tampa Museum of Art was showing a Peter Max collection : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Max, Indiana : http://www.artspace.com/robert_indiana, and others in a fashion world display from the Roaring Twenties, as well as ancient artifacts and sculptures. Well worth the price of admission, kidding since with our Bank of America cards, all four of us got in FREE! But it was worth the visit and the time spent with our son and his girlfriend was priceless!

Tomorrow, two more!

Love to all, be well, peace, and spread those blessings around!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Taco Bell for dinner, breakfast was on La Quinta!

On the road again!

Arrived at our secret destination before three.
Meeting up with Number One and his gal tomorrow for lunch at Olive Garden and possibly sightseeing together on our museum weekend, three are scheduled for our three day whirlwind mini vacation.
Tired, although I did not do much at all.
Hubby is the in-charge guy.
Dinner in tonight, soup and crackers cheddar and salami, brought from home, fridge and microwave in room, as always.
Roll in shower, and Gus is allowed, Gosh so many dogs here as I write they are barking, but not our Gus!
He started to answer them, but we said no and our little darling listened, not a peep out of him!

That's it for tonight!

Breaking into regular TV programming

In our case local news out of Ft. Myers Florida.
The president was discussing ISSIS threats and Zika, those nasty mosquitoes too.
Zika is in the United States with fifteen home grown cases of people infected in the Miami Florida area, Puerto Rico as well has the Zika mosquito.
Although, thankfully the inoculation looks hopeful and the sprays to protect have shown to be helpful.
ISIS is dangerous and has threatened too many, and we are still very much in the war to stop them.

My comment on dealing with Zika below:
Don't forget that the County Extensions in many places do have the mosquito eating fish that are live bearers and multiply significantly to eat mosquito larvae, they are free here in Charlotte County Florida, call and find out if they are available in your area, here they deliver them to your backyard pond, it couldn't hurt to call, true?

Moving on...

Today we had morning rain, yep I know, not like us at all.
It also created a difficulty with getting out of the house for my ten thirty PT session.
The computer alone in the arm of my chair costs $6000 to replace!
So it must not get wet.
And we were shown the low tech way on how to protect it, bet you can guess?
Go ahead... I'll wait...
..............................................................................................................................................................................................
That's enough!
You guessed right if you said...
A plastic bag pulled over it and we happened to have a couple of those Velcro straps that many of you use to neaten up wires from electronics; it was used to keep it tightened on the end, simple as it gets and works quite sufficiently well.

After PT we had lunch at Plaza Mexico.
Lastly a few items from Publix and then onward to home.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share those blessings all around!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

By Rote

Meaning of "by rote" is  memorizing by use of/ for repetition.( I know that you know, it's me just recalling.)
News?
No, oldies.
Nothing new in news.
It appears that daily we are considered the news channels students, since they feel we must need to learn "by rote".

Just an opinion.
That's what I do here.

Something to observe for yourselves, if you haven't already, but I bet you have.
Just another one of those opinions.
Why not; they are free.
Who said the best things in life are free? Seriously, who said that?

Oh wait, not opinions; I do believe they meant things like sunrises and sets, noticing the beauty in the world like oceans, flowers etc., appreciating what you already have, shelter, a bed, daily meals those sorts of things.
The ability to rise from your bed and again, that sort of thingy.

Okey dokey now...

Where was I, hmm...
Journalists, read the news and get sent out to cover "breaking stories", don't they?
They collectively speaking, also rush items off of Reuters and AP too?
Are we not entitled to see or hear, or both as many as we can?
Who decides what?
And could we be missing stuff that is if we don't take the initiative to find out more from as many sources as we can?
Thank heavens for the NET i.e. INTERNET! (You knew.)
We must be responsible consumers of news like anything else in life.
That is all.

Love to all, be well, peace, and share those blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Unfriend!

Such a powerful ability!
Have you tried the power yet?
If not, do it with caution, since it can occasionally bring out mixed emotions.
Not many but a few I have had regrets over, but don't ask me who, one does forget thankfully.
I felt the need just before I started writing tonight to do the deed again, and it is freeing!
Do as I say, not as I do, perhaps your tolerance is stronger than mine.
What happened is that so-called friend wrote on a post of mine mean nasty things about someone that I do like.

Moving on...

This afternoon was my heart/vascular physician pre surgery test to verify my ability to have the procedure, but he does believe that umbrella thingy temporarily would be a good idea, for only thirty
days to be safe of possible blood clots.
Good night!
My computer is acting odd.

You remember that ear problem...

...and I thought the last time it was a spider bite?
Still don't know for sure, but it's like the fourth time it happened to the same left ear and so it was biopsied again today, second time in a little over a year.
Had PT at eleven with Jaye today then Walgreen's for tummy medication and probiotic, next lunch in Punta Gorda at Jacks on Marion where I had their famous Calypso seafood soup, a cup and a giant Hail Caesar salad, Hubby had their roast beef un jou sandwich both with ice water and sides of lemons everything was delish as always!
Then it was time for my dermatology visit at their office just blocks from there.
Two tenths of a mile closer to our home than their Port Charlotte, who knew.
A new doctor young and quite statuesque, pretty great skin Dr. Laini Gaar, said it could be just a chronic condition or in need of another biopsy, which she did.
Meanwhile I feel nasty all over.
So I will TTYL, okay?
