New day new doings

Today I did have physical therapy again.
But I must admit this fellow that has been my therapist for my last three sessions appears to be quite determined to help me, how so very nice!
We started at the parallel bars, a reverse of our previous sessions, that I rolled between and he put a step right in front of my feet of the shelf on the chair that holds them. I was told to hold onto the bars and stand, which I did but not for long, my chair is there for support and I am learning not to plop back into it.
The work today that we did mostly were breathing exercises and coping mechanisms for dealing with movement with reversing my spasms while doing exercises.
The yellow band was used for strengthening my upper body by pulling one way to the count of eight and then the other way also to count to eight, also pulling the band outward simultaneously to another count of eight, form is important too as in all exercising.
I have been getting handout papers for my other exercises, but today he gave Hubby the band and showed him what I should be doing so he could help me.

Yes, it does seems that I will be moving better sooner rather than later if PT Jeff has anything to say about it!

Moving on...

After that I rode quickly from the rehab on my trusty ride with a different reason of determination to find another fish for the skirting of white wall above the tile in the new shower; there is still room for three more!

The rusty $1.50 approximately foot long plus fish, if I must say so myself between Hubby spraying it first with white Rustoleum paint, once dry it left me with a clean slate to do my thing!
I chose to use two colors, that vivid blue that we have used throughout for the window frame, shelf with pegs, as well as a pure white paint. I took three plastic small deli containers that we save for all sorts of things from leftovers to paint mixing containers.
Both paints are interior exterior quality; I left one container with the solid blue and the two others with a smidge of white and a little more white in each adding the blue to color of my liking, mixing them carefully to get the shading that I wanted.
Each layer had its texturing utilized for what I pictured as the effect I was going for.
First a solid coating of the darkest shade. Next was a not so perfect hither and yon toning of the medium one, and next the splatter effect from the lightest, lovely in the lightest shade, and last a sprinkling of the pure white on the tips of each fin! Layering with waiting for drying time.
And the piece de resistance was the black acrylic paint applied to the eye for the pupil!
It now hangs proudly on the long wall of the shower towards the end with its head looking up and that very nighty, nighty black pupil staring back at you!

Any-who, the search continued from Bealls Outlet at the Promenades to Big Lots at another mall that I cannot seem to remember its name, but it also contains that very large chain bookstore as well as Staples etc. and it also has a new Thrift Shop for the Suncoast Humane Society, no fish were to be located anywhere, sadly.

So the search goes on...another day.

We ate our lunch today at Beef O'Brady's also at this shopping place that believe it or not had some healthy choices there and so I had their grilled chicken on a salad, while Hubby had their Reuben, we both had iced water with lemons on the side.

*Do not get them, lemons or limes, in your beverage they say so as not to transfer bacteria, better to squeeze the lemon/lime juice out and discard the rest onto the plate.

From all that we arrived home around two thirtyish.

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Suppositions

BMI, most years/decades 19, terrific and fit, BMI now 40, about horrendously for a decade now, 35 being obese, over 40+ being morbidly obese. Yes, as I tell everyone I am twice the woman I was, bud dump bum... not so funny anymore.
What to do, what to do?
Here's the question, what would you do?
That is if you already eat healthy.
Veggies, fruits, most fish and chicken very little red meat.
Try not to eat bread, potatoes, corn or pasta too much, in other words carbs.
Do not drink any soda pop, not even diet or wine or liquor.
Only coffee black with stevia, club soda and water with lemon or lime.
Cannot walk due to balance, heat, and strength issues, cannot do water aerobics due to skin cancer, and indoor facilities have too warm water causing more spasms.
If you had the option with financial coverage by your insurance to pay for the sleeve procedure, which is the case, even though you were such a high risk, also high risk for death without it due to shortened lifespan due to obesity, a vascular umbrella:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inferior_vena_cava_filter would be also needed to be installed to prevent blood clots that is the case with my particular needs; then what would you do?
The laparoscopic sleeve procedure is what has been recommended for me: http://www.laparoscopic.md/sleeve

Oh my theory on how I got to this point, quit smoking=first fifty pounds, several times on 1000MG. of SoluMedrol (steroid) for three days at a time over seven years, add in higher doses of Gabapentin and lest not forget the inability to exercise and VOLIA and Ta Da!

Enough details?
But wait! There's more...

And yes, I will be seeing many medical people prior to the surgery, from a phycologist, nutritionist, cardiologist, sleep disorder physician +, etc., as well as diet will be adjusted two weeks prior and other things too all due to how this excellent doctor. I have been given a loose leaf notebook with pages and pages of information. The doctor happens to be American trained in his field, who is fairly local to me, twenty-four miles away in Venice, Florida, Dr. Chabli does these bariatric surgeries as his primary surgeries and according to whomever he treats for their specific needs he chooses what is appropriate for them.

Dear Blogger Fans

Had a medical investigation to do.
It is very late now so I feel bad to be leaving you all hanging, but tomorrow I will be more forthcoming with details.
Enjoy your evenings, and don't forget to adjust your viewing to happy scenes and thoughts!

Speaking...

...I am quite a talker.
Many people I know enjoy that too, talking that is, duh, how else can we communicate in person with getting our interest, thoughts, and wants and needs expressed; truly?
Although, women appear to get those voices out more readily than many men, not all, but those so-called: the strong silent types with the idea that being too talkative is just nasty noise, ya know what I am saying, true?
Yep, been told that.
Of course I do have a little problem with dead air, as if on a radio show, think about that one...enough, got the concept, and its no good at all!
Not very nice to hear not-a-thing, ya know?
Some have suggested that people who blog are self-centered narcissistic people, and no I have never considered myself at all like the Frothy Orange Haired Guy the presumptive nominee on the GOP side; I'm way too liberal for that, heaven forbid!
Sorry if I appear that way, but I cannot understand that lump summery of anyone's personality.
I feel that since my life took a quieter turn these last several years that notating what goes on in it makes it to me seem not as boring.
We all need some reassurance or self assurance.
At times though any of you that have read anything that I have written over the years do know that we have had some times that were more energized with happenings than others.
LIFE!
REAL LIFE!
YOURS TOO!
Ups and downs.
Babble is nonsense and sure I have claims to that too.
Lulls and peaks are normal.
Some last for days, months or years.
Sounding boards are all of you.
Fascinating and great listeners.
Never interrupting when I speak, in my blogger voice that is.
As I do not interfere when you say your peace too.
The absolutely real reason I continue to blog is to know that on any given day I can try to recall what has happened and then I know that I am still capable of thought and some forms of actions, okay?

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

Writing...

...the day after my not too prominent fan fared eighth anniversary of my hacking of this blog, web log, no cake and no candles was eaten or seen, boo hoo.
And not even one noise maker!
Not even one congrats!
Okey, dokey now and so now I shall move on...

Some days seem to me to not be so exciting.
Like today for instance.
I was pretty much streaming the TV show NCIS, over the last few days whenever; I'm up to nearly the end of season three, they have twelve seasons on Netflix. So that will probably take me into next week.

Sure I do other stuff too, but in between I watch this catch up from long ago starting in 2003, and the show is still on today, not today, but Tuesday night's are the new ones, but in the summer all repeats like most all others, shows that is.
I do not recall the year we actually started watching the show, probably only a few years ago, so the old shows were truly new to me and Hubby too.

Although, he has found some old BAD movies to watch, he has said not well made in that reference.
Though he has shown interest in catching up on the older NCIS shows.
What I like is the familiar faces on many of the older NCIS shows, from Zac Ephron, to two that are now regulars on my other show that I do enjoy Bones; TJ Thyne who plays Jack Hodgins, and Tamara Taylor who plays Camille Saroyan.

I did complete my streaming of their show about a week ago, ten years worth; they too are still on with new shows even during the summer on Thursdays!
Now that I have established my viewing pleasures with you, I am more than sure some of you out there too have found periodically, throughout your lives, to do similar watching with what may seem boring to others, hmm?
Many of my friends have confessed to just that!
Of course it is just another form of escapism.
And who doesn't need a bit of that on occasion?

I have been a regular how-to show lover from early on most of all PBS shows, many are still on, but not as regularly.

Oh and of course the news...
Send love and prayers to our fellow Americans on both coasts enduring nature's wrath with horrendous devastating fires and floods!

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Happy Anniversary to me!

Yes!
Today is my eighth year of writing this dribble!
Hooray!
Boorah!
Ta Da!

Moving on...

So around eleven A.M. Hubby goes to me how about going out today just for the fun of it?
And I said yes!
But going out is going in for us to the no events planned venue of the Cultural Center, but we had a lunch, since we actually left here around eleven thirty once we decided to do something after Hubby trimmed some more foliage and I dusted the living room.
Any-who, after our lunch at the Cultural Center we perused their shops that are all either thrift, second hand or crafty or antiques. And in the one we donated our couch to, the second hand one, I looked at their frames, but decided we have enough, always a good buy there at about a dollar or two, instead I found about a foot long metal sculptured fish to add into my collection that I already had of three pairs that already are hanging in the bathroom of the larger shower conversion. Had those other fish for over a decade actually.
This newest one needed some TLC, but at a dollar fifty, yep you heard that right I felt it was a good investment, since we have more wall to fill above the tile, just below the ceiling height.
After we left the CC, Hubby asked me where I would like to go, and I suggested Fisherman's Village AKA Fishville.
We hadn't been in some time.
It is true it is NOT indoors, but it is in a shaded covered to the shops situation, so I thought we could try, and we did, in and out of air-conditioned shops to now search for just one more fish!
It was also a test for me in maneuverability with my new ride and so long as I used the indoor lowest speed while wiggling through the glass object filled shelves I was Superwoman and stealth in my ability not to damage a thing in my way!
But I also did not find the additional fish to add to my collection at a price that I felt comfortable with, you see they used to have sales out of season, but there is no such thing anymore they told me!
Winter had been considered "the" season, but now it is all year round!
And as you may have guessed that after about two hours I became quite overheated and so we left and came home.
My tummy hurt and even the soup, that lobster bisque that Hubby made for our dinner, my favorite, I could not eat.

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Later than afternoon storms arriving now...

So I will write as fast as my little hands/fingers will take me!
And yes they and my feet are still little!
Ha!
Thunder booms in my backdrop of soundings/announcing of storms coming in.
We did successfully complete most decorating in the new bathroom addition, still tweaking though, adding this and that's.
The window trim and knobs and picture frames as well as the new 20" shelf with five peg towel rack is all painted Seaport Blue, vivid not at all wishy washy. Hubby and I designed it, and it was made from left over wood and broom handles that we already had!
I put three white plastic containers on the shelf with Q-tips, cotton balls and the last has those face washing disposable cloths.

Storm is in with lightning so I will say an early good night!

Heat, Rain, Humidity.........Ahhhhhhhh, Paradise!

Come on down!
It takes tough stuff to handle our type of fun!
Not just amusement parks but so much more...
Whether you like weather that has its moments or not, an old localism is stuck in my memory cells, "If you don't like the weather now wait a few and it will probably change into something you might like better; ya think?" Those afternoon storms are put there to cool you off by the local chambers...Kidding!
Yeah Florida; gotta love it!
The land of exotic pets running wild and indigenous ones on land or sea, pleasing crowds or not!
They were here first; so watch your step!
Tropical plants that just love colorful displays!
Unforgettable sunsets, a given!
Some of the best beaches in the world!
A manna attitude whenever we need it, since the rules are different here!
And if all else fails; we have professionals to get you out of harms' way!
Always give us another chance to please, and we will!

FLORIDA!

Why our name is so tame in its meaning of flowers!
Our nickname is the Sunshine State; yep about six months worth fulltime and the other half, half of the time!
Our state flower is the orange blossom, with all those fruity trees!
Our state bird is the Mockingbird, nothing personal, oops!
And so much more:http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/namerica/usstates/flsymbols.htm

What a day!

Good and busy, but not as busy I suppose as many of you all were out there in cyber space or as Al Roker says in your neck of the woods, hmm?
Well, for us it was.
Hot, hot, hot is how it is here!
Sure we have an air-conditioned home, car, and everywhere we go they have air-conditioning too!
The hot part is going from the buildings back into your car that becomes one heck of an oven once closed up after you leave it and remains that way while the air-conditioning slowly changes that once again back to your comfort zone when you arrive there to turn it on!
Our schedule was a 10:15 A.M. appointment for my physical therapy at the sports rehab, forty-five minutes worth.
Next back to Home Depot for a third handrail for the new shower on the back wall under the new glass block windows for me to hold onto as I sit on the bench seat so I don't slide off; there is really no way to, but it sort of feels that way. You see, it is slightly slanted to allow water to run off, but to look at it you would never notice. There is another one, handrail, on the other end of the back wall at the end/alongside of the four foot bench, and another is vertical next to the toilet!
After that we arrived for lunch at Ruby Tuesdays at the mall.
Hubby had a bacon burger with fries and I had soup and salad, both with iced water with lemon slices on the side.
And then we went over to Beall's regular store in the Town Center Mall, same as where Ruby Tuesday is, not their outlet, and looked for another bedding set, they were have a thirty percent off sale on many lovely comforters and pillow sham sets, but even so in our needed to be king size they were still around one hundred bucks, so we nixed the sets for a better deal somewhere else, but where, is the question! They used to be more than just three pieces, now only expensive ones are more pieces.
Our original set came with top and bottom sheets, two pillow cases, two pillow shams, reversible comforter, as well as a dust ruffle! Ours is still rather nice with a tame seashell print with colors that run from teal, eggplant, beige/golden, and white, it is our third one since living in this home that is in nearly eighteen years in this particular one, our third home in Florida, and the one that we have lived in the longest. The first one was a rather nice patchwork quilt that many admired, and the second was a little over the top very bright colored fish print! Imagine the latest animated fish movie and it's predecessor's too!
At the time I was in love with living on the water, still am but cannot take advantage of it like I used to, and thought it advantageous to theme up our home, and thus the taming since then.

So why not keep the one I have, well due to the step Hubby made for me to get up on the bed I think it ripped the dust ruffle where it is not in a seam to sew! (Although, I temporarily put clear packing tape on the reverse side to hold it together; shush, don't tell anybody please! I know yuck.)
Either my step or our Gus, our Havanese mix rescue dog, not too sure.
The step makes more sense since he doesn't do things like that, and it is a straight line cut as if caught on something, ya know?
There is also a unknown where or what caused its stain on the striped side that no matter what I do I cannot remove it, so it stays on the seashell side with the darker teal back ground. I used to flip it for summer due to the stripe side being a lighter shade of tans/gold, purple, and teal stripes on a lighter beige background, actually looks a bit like ticking.
But it will due till I find another at a price we can live with, and subtle in nautical or seaside lovely motif!

From the mall we went to Sam's Club for gas only, it was $2.18.9 a gallon there only a penny cheaper than the route 41 ones up to there, but we had gone up that way for Home Depot and the mall anyway.
After our tank was topped off we arrived back at the Promenades Mall where the rehab is and Winn Dixie's is too they had mailed us a circular that had a few items that we wanted like peaches and other fresh fruit at good prices. Peaches were a dollar a pound, cherries were $2.95 a pound, bananas were just sixty cents a pound, and so we picked a few other items that were BOGOS, buy one get one free.
Plus they even sold lobster bisque soup!
We picked up dinner as well and arrived back home with time to spare, but a bit longer than we like to leave Gus, over five hours.
The recommendation is to only leave any four-legged friends for five hours at the most due to them needing to go out, but he is a BIG sleeper and that is what we expected he was doing, and he doesn't mess a thing!
Hubby took him out right after the perishable items were put away.
Busy?
I guess to most ordinary, oh well...

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

Next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Hermit

An interesting word in my title, hmm?
That can denote romantic thoughts of a cottage in the woods with just you alone writing poetry in that woodland cottage, or possibly of another thought of connotations of seeing a scruffy elderly hairy fellow living in the woods alone with just the bare necessities of life, or even just of a crab that lives in its shell with that name, called hermit, ha?
Or someone who stays inside, an agoraphobic, who suffers of fear of wide open spaces and crowds that defines the term.
In my case though it is a periodic symptom and my way of dealing with the weather of it being way too hot, so I too stay within my abode!
Unless I must leave my temperature controlled indoor climate due to obligations or heaven forbid a prolonged power failure and out of gas for our generators, I stay put!
Yes, the lazy hazy days of summer have arrived early here again, around March.
And the early heat of nineties then had higher humidity with it, higher than usual due to an unusually wetter dry season. These days high eighties with nineties toward the end of the week with humidity, going up and down, ah summer in Florida! The cool down shall be here by December, as usual, yippee!

Heat or too cold are both horrible things to deal with as we get older, since many feel that our body thermostats can go on the fritz, which means we do not adjust to or notice the extremes in temperatures.
But add in any illnesses to that mix and we can become dehydrated too easily, as well as have horrid spasms, not unlike Grande Mal seizures with Multiple sclerosis, like I get way too often with temperatures that conflict with my body!
So the best resolve is to stay in places where the indoor climate is controllable to what one might need.

In reality, hermit is defined as a person who lives away from others due to religious reasons, searching for inner peace.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hermit

Interesting how we can give more meaning to something so well and simply explained.

And it is true that with me having my "Hubby" I could never be considered a hermit.

Now I will allow that to sink in...

2.6 miles away something is going on near our home

Fire trucks, bomb squad, sheriff's deputies and a robot all checking into a storage place that they said has cardboard cylinders with wires coming out of them, probably professional fire works, but not positive. The area has been evacuated.
Stay tuned, I am.

SCARY!

Boy, just when you think all has calmed down, a bit?

My resources at the above station still say it is breaking news being followed through the evening.

Moving on...

Hard to stay on track with that in your rearview, hmm?
We actually live in a rather quiet area of the state.
Not too long ago I was telling someone in Australia how Hubby in all his years as a deputy had not had to use his gun to shoot anyone, and he has been retired nearly ten years now, and still no concern about that.
We live in this state as of this coming August 19th it will be thirty years yep, moved down to the other coast way back in 1986!

Lotsa anniversaries coming up in the next few weeks, as well as my birthday, this blog this month on June twenty-fifth, eight years, July first my birthday, and on July eleventh, ten years since I quit smoking, yay, and then August 19th our thirtieth year in Florida!
And we were never harmed by another human being in all these years!
Or even by the weather, our home was, but not us!
Hip, hip, hooray!
It's safe folks; so come on down!

Conclusion to that close to our home news story: I do think that the professional type fireworks were being examined, and so far that seems to be just what they are.

So Port Charlotte Florida seems to be safe once again, ta da!
And me without a net...

Happy Father's Day?

To not all.
I was lucky that I had a wonderful Father, some have not had males in their lives good or bad, but Mothers who did double duty caring for them, taking on both roles as well as Fathers doing it, vice versa.
Families come in all shapes, sizes and as we were reminded once again all genders with being in charge of parental guidance, and so I wonder if having Mother's Day and Father's Day, and most recently Grandparents Day, why not just instead have Parents Day? We now call legal marital unions spouses, simplified, seriously.
Sure it's not as profitable for the card companies, but it is all encompassing, true?

Then there are families far from one another who physically cannot celebrate together, but they are there in spirit, as well as the fact that some parents have passed on, hopefully just our older folks, but we all know the wake up calls we have received lately with too many young people being taken before their prime.
War and illness, not with standing, I meant all the violence too.
Hard for those children to celebrate.

And so when there are parents of all genders and ages, or even guardians for children then they are also entitled to have a day dedicated to them as well, true?
So specifying a particular parent seems so twentieth century; let's try to be more sensitive to more familia styles and become more accepting.

I declare a day set aside yearly, although every day should be "parents" day since if they are dong it right they should be acknowledged daily, but for rationale, between the first Sunday in May and the third Sunday in June would be fair, okay?
Get back to me on that.

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Politics, Sex and Religion!

My title topics were considered taboo to discuss in conversation not too long ago, while I was growing up in fact, okay that was a long while ago, which seems silly in todays' culture. Polite people did not talk about any of that.
And these days it appears to be all we discuss, true?
In a way it is very good, but in other ways it is hard to maintain a non-emotional calm discourse while getting our points across on any of those still hot button materials of real life issues.
That said, we as a smaller world and one that has found openness in so many other ways must, by now, have found a way to actually say what we mean without shame.
Although, at times this has proven to be outlandish, hurtful, extreme and without restraint in content.
Yes, I do know, what many have been thinking, where has the politeness gone in society, and civility?
Sure most have thrown caution to the wind, and it has splatted back in many a face!
As the multitudes would agree should be in so many cases, ha.
Balance, as in anything in life as should our irreverent takes on life be portrayed, most believe that the world and its people are decent, and that aberrations are thankfully infrequent anomalies.
And I do think that too.

What amazes me is that other topics are still not openly discussed, as health, death, or I am sure there are things that you too have tried to slip into a somewhat bland conversation and you could nearly hear the person cringing from what you were trying hard to say with just trying to engage them in a response on the uncommon topic you found interesting, right?
I bet I am right, hmm?

Any-who, my tonight's blog title was written as much to entice as to discuss.
Now that I am closing in on my eighth year anniversary, within seven days, yes next Saturday, I wanted to adjust my soliloquy of writings to perhaps interesting more of you to read my concepts.

I have found that the political conversation has given more attention to some than to others, and sex is something we all openly respect and speak of, and since religion can be average or extreme it has taken the forefront in so much these days, and that is why I have decided to delve into other things; that is once I find out what that will be.

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

What does it mean when you call a number that has a recording saying...

...that they are not allowed to answer this number at this hour, and the hour was four P.M. and the number called was in the same time zone?
I oddly enough received the obscure number believe it or not just somehow appearing in the allotted area on the top of this blog space for my title.
Strange, but for some reason on the drop down that automatically occurs when I begin to write up there also has my home phone number, and a few other things that I have no idea why it has happened there. (And no, I did not put them there, especially my private home number!)
I've filled in tonight's title or I would tell you what the other items are, but now it is not accessible.
Just one of those curiosities.

I did initiate reverse number lookup for that curious one, and it is a cell phone in Sarasota, about fifty miles from here, but stupidly the "FREE" lookup wants a small payment to give you the rest of the information like name of the user's address etc.; may I ask why it calls its service "FREE"?

I do know when I have received suspicious/non-recognizable numbers on my caller I.D. before on either the cell or landline I have tried to find out their origins and met up with the same frustrating dead end that is unless the caller identifies themselves of course, but many are hang-ups not wrong numbers because they happen again and again.
Any suggestions out there?

Right now daily we are receiving annoying calls from India or at least the callers' accents sound like India British stating they work for Microsoft and want to give us technical advice for a cost, some days as many as four or five calls!
We either do not say anything and hang up, yell at them to stop calling, or tell them we do not want, need or have asked for any help!
Aggravating.
I did read on CenturyLink that we do have a blocking system by hitting, *87 then redial their number for it to go into affect. I suppose most blocks could be similar, but I really don't know, since we never had to use one before.
I suppose our cell phone company has a similar blocking system will have to check on that, but on the cells it is not that frequent.
Have any of you had any similar problems, and if so how did you stop them?

Love to all, be well, peace, and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Videos online from Facebook friends or from different sites are usually

Amusing!
We are a fun loving bunch truly!
And when life's horrible realities make it so difficult, at times, too many it seems lately, to go on...Silly videos can take us on a short respite to forget for a while and remember what joy can be like, hmm?
The news is scary almost any day we watch.
More so if you are personally involved with any of the headline participants.
What I am trying to say, perhaps not so eloquently is that in death we must also look to the future, in the aftermath of all the sadness the survivors must physically and mentally go on, a given.
I can relate by loss of my parents who I love dearly still and miss terribly daily, although gone for over thirty years!
Love for anyone you hold dear is difficult when especially they have passed on.

Lately an old friend, she is not old in age for she is younger than my sons, six years younger than my eldest, in fact she is Number One's ex-girlfriend that we have all stayed friends with and she has since married a fine man and had a little darling girl and she has recently been sending me silly doggy videos, cute!
I suppose she sends them to others too, not just me.
Any-who, I have found that the Netflix streaming has been very fun too, not just Bones or certain HGTV, but Lakefront Bargain Hunters, and International Bargain Hunters etc. I have been enjoying too. For Father's Day I added on another screen for two dollars a month @ $9.99, and got rid of the movies via snail mail and the $8.99 a month. Two screens enables us to stream different shows at the same time, including some older movies.
Right now we have to watch the same thing, but it switches over the day after tomorrow, since our free month is done tomorrow.
I believe we can change this too if for some reason we aren't happy.
Life is in flux, always changing.
This is something we must all remember.
And at times it appears to change too quickly.
So learn from this flow; oh I don't know, just try to know that we must all go on as long as we have a breath to breathe! Yes that's the ticket, keep on going no matter what happens, yep Nike it, "Just Do It!"

Love to all, be well, peace and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Back to pysical therapy!

Also back to my old original therapy place, sports and rehab where I had been going for OT, PT NMT for years and years nearly twenty, since 1997, and most recently, a while back for independent exercise.
I don't recall if I had gone into detail why I had not been able to go to the other out patient facility, affiliated with my in home care, but they had only one handicap parking spot and getting an appointment when the doctor in the other office wasn't seeing patients was only in the too hot afternoon when my spasms went crazy!
So I had requested going back to this facility, since they had many handicap spots being in a shopping complex and they also were able to give me morning appointments before it got too hot!

So any-who, I was once again evaluated, and begun a preliminary exam that showed my therapist a bit of what my situation is; he did a neurological assessment as all before had. Interesting new fellow the same age as our eldest, Number One Son, but of Russian ethnicity, he had come to America twenty-four years ago at the age of twenty and that is why he has maintained his accent that was very nice to listen to, and to Florida five years ago via Pennsylvania, his name had confused me at first being Vitaly, Italian for vital.
He said that I might be seeing other therapists every time that I go there, and I said yes I knew that.
My spasms in spite of my morning appointment went crazy during trying to use the even parallel bars, and even prior to that during the assessment, thigh, chest, back spasms all horrible!

The temperature there appeared to be even tempered, usually seventy degrees Fahrenheit, I think, it used to be (did not physically look), not too cold or hot, just right.
I have no idea why these spasms are increasing and becoming more frequent, unless it's just the way my Multiple sclerosis is going as part of the Secondary Progressive form?
Frustrating, I have been taking my medication for spasms, Baclofen 60 mg. and Gabapentin(Neurontin) 1200 mg. daily.
I hate to think that I would need more.
My reasoning in going to PT, physical therapy is twofold for the pain and preventing atrophy too soon.

Moving on...

Anyway, in spite of me doing my gyrations we went into Beall's Outlet to look at their bedding department and I found a new mattress protector in king for our bed for twenty bucks!
We love our king size bed, but over the many years we have had it, nearly thirty with new mattresses periodically, the bedding has been quite expensive, so whenever I can find a deal on sheets or comforters etc. I go for it!
We got it not because of little ones crawling into bed with us, the boys were too old then, it was actually due to our live animal menagerie of dogs and cats!
And now that I gained so much weight it is roomier for Hubby and me.
Gus, our Havanese mix rescue, has his own plush store bought floor bed, since he was a bit vicious when disturbed while sleeping by biting us due to what we think is PTSD!

After the stop at Beall's Outlet in the same shopping center as my therapy we ate lunch at Cracker Barrel, Hubby had a chicken pot pie and I had trout!

Then we returned home where I went right to bed since my spasms and body needed the rest and here I am once again writing tonight!

Love to all, be well, peace and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

News, news, and more news!

The outcry is, "I'm not a politician! So vote for me."
Huh?
As Hubby says, "Yep, you just want to become one!"
These "non-political", people running for office appear to be "non-knowledgeable" too!
If all the politically experienced people cannot maneuver through the systems of bureaucracy how can people without knowledge of how the system works, work to accomplish anything?
Just a thought.

Have you heard the latest spewing's from the Frothy Orange Haired Guy, and his awful accusations?
Sure you have, everyone has.
He is making us an international joke!

Many wonder why I have so many Facebook friends, when they are much more selective than me with their choices.
Previously I went into great detail explaining why someone like me would have five thousand Facebook friends, but now I feel I must add into those reasons is my feelings to truly get feedback from the world at large as how we as Americans are seen through their eyes.
And the results are extremely upsetting.
Sure I do not hear from all five thousand only a small minute group of people who at one time I believe probably felt we were an amazing land of good people with decent reputations and attitudes of all encompassing, safe and happy place, a true melting pot that someday they would like to visit first hand if not having been here in their recent past.
Today we are a land of fear and ignorance, meaning very dangerous with stupid people at the helm of our government or trying to be in charge of it, we currently lack their respect significantly!
The repair for this embarrassing feeling and expressed opinions is that we have to find the right way to change!
Al Roker this morning on the Today Show, said that in democracy we will always have problems, due to everyone having rights and freedom to do what they "feel" is right and that includes saying whatever they want to.
True.
Frustrating just the same.

My feelings have been hurt on a grand scale!
And I have taken some action to try to change things for the better/safer America that I remember from childhood, I signed a petition today and you can too:http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/ban-assault-weapons?source=s.fb&r_by=544624
And that makes me feel better, with the hope of making a real change.
You too can sign the petition to help, and we as Americans will be grateful, by being a place where everyone anywhere will know they can safely travel to visit us!

On that note love to all, peace, be well, and blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Another day of wishing for the same thing

Too many lives have been lost.
All ages.
From every walk of life.
Had theirs taken, they had no right, no one does.
One of my Facebook friends said it so simply asking why have we had to say over and over again that our thoughts and prayers are with the surviving families? Too often too familiar and too many times!

No one should be a member of a "surviving" family due their family member being killed!
No one should have lost someone due to being killed by gun fire.
No one should have been lost due to terrorism.
No one should be KILLED by anyone due to HATE!
No one should HATE except all of the ones that have had to deal with the haters end results of hating on their FAMILY! And then not do what they did once those emotions are validated by all who also have suffered that horrid brutality.
No one should have to explain to those left behind how they died, when there is no good or right reason to justify why it happened.
No one should not vote to change things for the better.
No one who is an elected official should be swayed by the NRA or any other groups to make them NOT vote to make life better/safer for all Americans and win back respect in the world!
No one should know within the next ten years why or what guns were used for, but then used unloaded for doorstops, odd looking hammers, or melted down and recycled into more useful products.
No one should know what ammunition within those next ten years, perhaps for medical use in cauterizing wounds from household injuries, oh I don't know, blow them up into fireworks
No one on a terror watch list should escape closer scrutiny, but they should be held without bail until thoroughly being analyzed by a psychiatric physician over several months in a secure facility!
No one on a terror watch list should be able to legally attain any weapons of any kind!

These are some of my thoughts and concerns, more will probably come to me as I continue to observe where we went wrong once again as the news reports from the negligent parties in all aspects of the land that I do love and look to them for answers not excuses.
We need to change these horrific outcomes.
That is all.

NRA listen to all of us Americans PLEASE!

You had me with your near logic of guns don't kill people, people kill people!
Of course inanimate objects do not have the ability to kill, scissors, butcher knives, automobiles, hammers, pressure cookers with shrapnel cannot kill without a mad lunatic using them to destroy people with their so many reasons in their twisted brains.
That said we are looking very bad to the world; today I posted the horrific news about the 29 year-old Florida man who with his legally gotten automatic weapon who killed fifty people and injured fifty-three more, many critically in an Orlando Gay night club in the wee hours of this morning.
Due to his hate of Gay people, as per his father reported he did this ghastly deed, and was killed too, thankfully in order to be stopped!
SWAT and FBI as well as local Sheriff's and Police Departments all took part in the take down of this one lone gunman with a weapon not used for sport or hunting but for ONLY killing other human beings!
I have many concerns with all this happening the worst in our country's history by the way; that was for our New Zealand and Australian friends who verbally dueled with me today semantically speaking and they with proof of our lack of concern with dealing with guns for anyone and having the most per ratios of people here!
They proved most upsettingly to me that their countries were safer than ours due to their lack of allowing guns.
And of course I defended our country saying most of us are good people and do not wield weaponry and kill others due to unjust hatred or any other reasons!
But they insisted that we were a very dangerous country due to our easily attained guns.
And you know something... yup they were right.
Our ability to do background checks has proven over and over again that it is not good enough!
And nasty/dangerous/angry/mentally unstable people are getting their hands on killer machines and using them whenever they feel they can!

The slaughter of innocent people has been amplified and the news has been carried throughout the world screaming to nonrelated outsiders we here in the good ole USA have a severe problem with GUNS!
Domestic terrorism, scary hmm?
Yes a home grown person who destroys what we all cherish our realization of feeling safe in our literal backyard.
My other concern may shock people, but it must be said; is it possible that some of the dead in this horrendous happening of this past night of horrors could be horridly dead due to friendly fire from SWAT needing to get in to save the people?
Just one of those frightening questions that might come up, since the body count was so high for one shooter, I'm just wondering...

Now that that is out there I suppose no backsies are possible.
Who knows, but this time WE ALL CARE!
Dear friends of the world, every time something like this happens not just here but anywhere we all want to change things, but living in America, a democracy with so many government officials and houses and the senate and the president who has tried to get tougher laws passed but has hit brick walls... it is truly a hell of a job, we need our political leaders to rise up and make the laws that most want to happen to make us a safer healthier and happier and more respected worldwide nation, dear people of our land's laws DO SOMETHING NOW, NOT LATER!
PLEASE!

Its becoming a women's world!

More women are reasoning and seeing that America's long overdue for having our first woman president, and all I can say is: YAY and Finally!
Enough said except for the logical reasoning of even women in the GOP are having reality checks with their selves and making correct decisions not based on party, but on who is the sanest to handle the job, add in experience and a Hubby who will be a sound sounding board with extreme personal experience, first hand, and we got ourselves a win, win future AMERICA!

Moving on... not too far.

And now the pendulum has swung the other way here in the good ole USA, even though we have been out in the world we all must admit that how we treat, pay and respect our fifty-two percenters has been horrid and I am a member of that never silent majority. (At least as long as I have been alive.)
We can never ever be called second class citizens ever again.
Once the pay becomes equitable then we will be fully equal, and I am pretty darn sure that having a female president might be helpful on that forefront too.
All of my gender should realize another swelling of legal aspects making sure that we will be treated as all others shall be determining to allow ourselves to do anything to succeed without any glass ceiling at all!
Not just those eighteen million cracks of 2008, but a removal of the glass altogether!
Upward and onward for all!
BIG SMILE INSERTED HERE!
Now to all my pals of my gender whom have not found any issues throughout their lives, good for you!
But remember some of us have had difficulties with establishing our rights and so this is why we must unite and help one another.

Love to all, be well, blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Bones, Bones, Bones morning, noon and night!

As the rain continues to put a damper on things outside, I realize again how wonderful it is to have more options in our viewing pleasure.
And us both being fans of a TV show beginning its twelfth season this fall it is extra nice to be able to revisit its oldies but goodies shows that we may have forgotten or hadn't started watching as of way back then.
First there were the books and then the series.
And they are based on a real person, a forensic anthropologist and author, Kathy Reichs, but her story, i.e. her character is Dr. Temperance (Bones) Brennen. Who is not only a PhD in her fields of expertise but an author of fiction with her character being called, Kathy Reichs, interesting turn about?
https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Bones_(TV_series)

We began our binge watching from Season 1 Episode 1 and are now up to Season 7 Episode 2, there are over twenty shows per season and so we have been quite happily consuming, so far; Netflix has the first ten seasons of this particular show.
Hubby is already looking toward our future viewing by asking me: what's next?

We have interrupted our steady stream of viewing only for news and weather, but not too much else.
Most network programming is in repeats, but some are now showing a few interesting summer replacements as well as a new found surge in game shows nostalgically redone and shown at night, besides our own favorites of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy that also are in repeats now.
Even the news appears to us to repeat highlighted stories for several days at a time with very little follow-ups; just our opinions.

Today they even repeated my only soap opera that I watch, General Hospital without any explanation, on what is usually considered cliffhanger Friday. I did ask, but as of yet have not received anything back.

So not too much going on here...

Love to all, be well, blessings.

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Hope all your binges are as satisfying.

Anyone for an ark?

Days and days of rain and more in the forecast!
The skies are so dark, even in the midday, and here in the state nicknamed the Sunshine State!
Gloomy is now what we are, perhaps we are now the Gloomy State; could it be our new moniker?
Conducive for napping, not much else, and so I did imbibe, yes drank in the lazy sleepiness of exhaustion that moisture outside with dark foreboding cloudiness causing the skies to create.
Lazy hazy days of summer are early this year!
No relief from the teeming rain until next week; so they say...
All that weed and feed spread on the 28th of May did work, but now the rain has made it difficult to mow down the healthy stalks of emerald greenery!
Although, Hubby is determined in spite of the drizzle that begun again!
Yes, he has ventured out, no thunder or lightning now, just the mist.

Moving on...

Can slander charges be far behind for one of the candidates in the GOP, added into all those other law suits?
So much has been said that is at best suppositions and without actual proof, why can some people be immune to prosecution? (Hopefully not.)
I am baffled.
Freedom of speech is one thing, but outright lies is definitely another, true?
Words of warriors are still needing to be proven to be acceptable as legitimate claims in this our litigious society? (In some cases, as this, apropos.)

More wonderment than anything else at this point.
Someone set me straight.

Love to all, be well, blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Alternating days, candidates decided and bits and pieces

Days of busy switched off with lazier days.
Rained all day today on and off.

Moving on...

The election: Gosh I was surprised that Hillary took New Jersey with all my old school chums voting for Bernie!
She made her nomination historic with attaining all the delegates and super delegates needed pledged, being the first woman in either party becoming the nominee.
I still feel the Bern, but I wish all my FB buddies numbers were greater, but sadly they were not.
Now I guess they can understand about their expats who have transplanted to the sunshine state and wield enthusiasm and still failed as well... ahhhh oh well.
Dear friends now what?
Are we too going to the convention with stubborn resistance, as if Bernie, to the presumptive nominee being who she is?
Denial, and then what good are we going to be?
None of you would vote for the, dare I say, the Frothy Orange Haired Guy!
Horrors!
And not voting would be just as bad.

Hillary, may be to many not so honest and having many flaws, but is she a downright despicable hateful, chauvinistic, racist, imperialist, dictator whom will have their maladjusted mentally skewed ability with access to tap their finger on that nuclear button to end the world?

Okey dokey now folks, let's get real, it may come down to, and does appear to be coming down to the lessor of two evils.
Personally, I do not believe the choice is that difficult, Hillary and she will have additional support, a twofer.
Come on we all know that Bill was a great president, but a lousy husband!
A given.

In closing we all must come together to make the next presidency one that will be supported by all, and that so our votes count make sure that the cabinet, and senate and house too will be united to make the machine finally work smoothly with the change we need to see!

Upward and onward friends!
Get over it what is not and move on to what will be, if...and VOTE!

Love to all, be well, and Blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

PS Reality must give into dreams at times.

Mall day with a topping off of the groceries!

Geez, it was good to get out into the world and try my ride out in wide open, temperature controlled spaces, although we stayed a bit too long at the fair... as the expression goes.
Meaning we just got home at a quarter to five from leaving at eleven-thirty A.M.!
When we left to go to the mall the temperature outside was in the mid-eighties, but when we got home it had gotten to over ninety and the humidity is also sky high, due to the rain again while in the mall, like a sweeping rush of a warm/hot air from a steam room, yep that hot! So I once again ended up with very nasty spasms getting from the store to the car.

When we arrived at the mall it was nice to see that it was busy and it really must have been later than eleven thirty since it is only five miles from home and the traffic wasn't too bad and it was nearly noon when we got there. Hubby parked near the food court so that is where we ate lunch, he chose Sbarros and I chose the Japanese restaurant, both meals we had our own home bottles of beverages with, his water and mine club soda, as usual.

From there we went to Sears since we had some reward points to spend, ten dollars off what Hubby needed and wanted new rechargeable batteries for his Dewalt tools on sale for the double pack for $99.99, an early Father's Day gift. Then I looked at sandals there and they were more than I wanted to pay for, on sale for $25 each pair, and so I also looked at their blouses that also were more than cheapie me wanted to spend at fifteen bucks a piece on sale, so we moved on to Payless shoes and I found what I wanted thanks to their salesperson Melissa!
I had asked for metallic sandals, slip-ons that did not have the strap between the toes, since that hurts me, any-who she found me a pair of children's in size five and a half that fit perfectly in gold with a Velcro adjustable back, best part they were only $9.99! These days since I do not walk on them they should last forever most likely, ha!

Moving on...

I still wanted some blouses to wear to PT and so we stopped in Old Navy and sure enough their sale was just my kind of sale, two blouses were $4.97 each and the third was only $3.99!
So I paid less than fifteen for all three including tax!
I thought we were ready to leave but Hubby felt like an ice cream and I got a fat free frozen yogurt we were satiated enough or so I thought and ready for our last stop our GROCERIES!

Publix is truly a pleasure to shop in; we were welcomed and I was even hugged by the produce man, Maceau, oh what joy! People genuinely missed seeing me, so they said, yep they did.
Our groceries were many since we were out of everything again, and our bill was quite high for just two people, over $288!
But all necessary staples many.
We should be good for at least a couple of weeks and we did refurbish our necessities for hurricane season too.

Never buyers' remorse with groceries, since we rarely throw anything away these days and we use all that we purchase.
That's it for tonight... supper is ready!

Love to all, be well, blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

In the midst of Colin... #3 Tropical Storm of the season!

Rain has been training down on us (outside) in inches, windy, with gusts in medium double digits MPHs, and the high waters in our canal, are not quite over the dock, but over the seawall by just a few inches, and so far so good.
Tornado warnings have been south and east/inland of here, but it's not over, yet.

Our day was the usual indoors, although since I slept/napped for over two hours yesterday for some reason I never got to sleep last night or at all or even today, oddly enough I'm not even tired.
Oh wait!
I just remembered I took another nap today, but only for about forty-five minutes, sleep seems to be way overrated ya know, hmm?
I know all you medical types out there are cringing now with that silly concept of mine.
Oddly enough when this has happened before the following night I do sleep quite well and for that restorative number of hours of seven or eight, could be six, but more than none!

The site below gives you the latest on Colin:

Should we or shouldn't we?

That is prepare for the tropical storm now named Colin in the Gulf of Mexico, southeast of here.
The local weather station out of Fort Myers Florida that is about fifty miles south of here is saying that Colin should be going way up north of here to our Big Bend area, where the state has its bent area giving the peninsula an Italy look and that is a couple of hundred miles north of us, but then in the next breath it is saying to be prepared?
Maybe it's because when Hurricane Charley was supposed to go one hundred miles north to Tampa from here back in August 13. 2004 and didn't and at the last minute it took a hard right, right into us with a category four storm!
A CYA, cover your ass, forgive my cringe factor language, type of thing, perhaps?
Being prepared for these things is always better I believe.
More info available at: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
Another what would you do?
Love to all, be well, blessings and wish us luck for tomorrow is when it/Colin will be making landfall.
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
 <b>Tropical</b> Depression #3 upgraded to <b>Tropical</b> <b>Storm</b> <b>Colin</b>, still headed ...

Saturday, June 4, 2016

Four and half hours of a power outage last night!

Storm related.
And oddly enough we still had no Netflix on the TV even after the power came back on, by morning we had decided to call for help, but we did one simple fix, unplugged and then plugged it back in, the router that is, and it worked! We had tried over and over again putting in our password and other asked for numbers but nothing seemed to be working, only the TV not my laptop or the phones, odd since everything else was fine, online/Wi-Fi.
Hubby even felt the heat mounting indoors with no air-conditioning working and ice packs were not helping me one iota, so fortunately he was able to start up one of our two gasoline generators that were bought one twelve years ago and the other a few years later, but they are checked and restarted yearly before the season that is now, he had just checked them recently, to make sure that they still worked and they do.
You see then gas/petrol was not as expensive as even now, and we had gotten two of them, one for all the electric and the other just to run our central air due to my MS heat sensitivity.
So the one for the air was put on and did its job nicely bringing the temperature down to a humane level.
Hubby informed me that we had enough fuel to last up to twelve hours, great!
Just about when I was frustrated with FPL, Florida Power and Light, the only game in town, sending a message via our old landline corded phone(a must to keep in a storm) about not being able to fix it till one fifteen A.M. it went back on.
Sure we had no power for weeks after Hurricane Charley, but this was just a rain storm and we were only three days into the season!
I felt like if this is a sign of things to come then boy are we in for it!
I sure hope not.
Right now we have a possibility in the south western Gulf that has a chance of developing into Colin the third named storm of the season already!
That would be only in the next two days, so we have been watching the weather information closely.

Any-who, according to local and national weather stations it appears that it will be a depression or slight storm, a rain maker with flooding possible and heading mostly north of us.

We survived unscathed thankfully again, and we seem to do that regularly, and when it comes down to it that is all what truly matters, right?

Love to all, be well, blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Surprise!

Today I signed the final paperwork to make my new ride mine.
I am to receive the table top desk that Velcro's on to the chair, on Monday for my additional ability to eat or use the laptop, and my also other add on, shade thingy, will be here within time.
It was suggested to add a rider/additional coverage to our homeowners for this very expensive addition to our family,  sort of, motorized wheelchair, costing 28K, covered by insurance completely, but when I got the additional cost of the premium and it was quite a hefty price... So I rationalized it will always be with me, my ride that is, so why bother? It has a five year warranty anyway.
And so that was our final decision, for now.

Moving on...

Hubby painted the bathroom that has the new shower, all is nearly done, just some moldings and around the mirror, as well as the install of the new sink faucet that matches the double rain heads that we traded in for the one white Moen single on the hose. The new chrome with one head that stays stationary, while the other has the hose for me, and a suction cupped chrome holder that can be moved according to where I feel I need it, the new corner shampoo, soap and conditioner dispenser has also been installed, again purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond with that 20% off coupon they send to you, and Hubby used another to also buy his cashews that he shares.
And yes, there is a savings, since I am one of those comparison shoppers and I have checked in the past.

Moving on again...

Get this, something I just found out that as a finders fee when you see a non-compliant ADA, Americans for Disabilities Act of 1990,  business, such as lacking all sorts of access via automatic doors, ramps or whatever anyone in a wheel chair or other assistive devices might need you can notify them, i.e. the ADA, ada.gov, and receive 10% of 10K. yep 1K per incident, and it is anonymous, which is the fine the company might get if they aren't willing to comply, i.e. 10K.
To me it sounds like it could be carried too far, but it is true that even historic and so-called grandfathered in places are no longer able to use that excuse.
I don't know where I stand/sit, but it is an issue that I personally have had to deal with, many have ramps or easy to get to their door(s) but then when you get there if Hubby wasn't there I would have to bang hard on their door to gain access or roll away.
Yep, a moral access dilemma.
What would you do?

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Knowing one's self

Does one ever truly know?
Sure I am getting up there in age; actually rounding out around that last quarter turn, as my numeric age indicates.
But if we, as myself always changes, thankfully; how could we, that is know us, ourselves?
Sometimes I am like a stranger to me and that is good.
Oh what I mean is that I have surprised myself doing things that I had feared on another occasion, plunging forth with a positive interest and open mindedness and braveness, yes very brave.
Not so much recently, but in my colorful past.
On days when I make an honest effort to forget about this drab commonly very quiet existence I can recall the days when things were exciting and at times hectic and very often crazy!
And that makes me feel better.
Don't get me wrong, quiet and uneventful has its good points.
One thing is great is that even now I feel that I have not stagnated, which is good too.
My curiosity has been enhanced these last several years with more time to explore.
Sure I am not going out as I once had with travel, but yet we have, here and there, a little bit.
No what I mean is utilizing all the mediums that allow us to learn whatever our true interests are.
I say that I Google, but Hubby says that we research.
The realization that access is infinite is quite incredible.
No more guessing, although even way back when I wasn't the type to guess more the kind to find out the actual truth or answer.

Moving on...

One thing I am still learning to do is to listen to my body.
And mine is telling me that I am done with this for now.

Love to all, be well, blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Talk to me

I am quite a conversationalist, although you may not get a word in edgewise, ha!
Sure I have a problem, but so do too many of you do too, stay with me here in spite of those shocking allegations that are not meant to be mean spirited.
No, it is true we all do have a problem with not always getting our point across.
Communication skills to work appropriately should be give and take, in other words someone starts the conversation and says something engaging another person then waits to hear/listen to what they have to say.
How many, including yourself claim to be good listeners, truly?
It has been my observation over the years that many people are talkers while others are just listeners.
Sorry about the just, but listening is a rare commodity and in some ways I think too many "listeners", do it to be polite, or because they do not know when to interject, or feel they have nothing of value to say, and that's just an opinion of mine.
As a very young woman believe it or not I was "THE LISTENER" that everyone told everything to, and after years of being the world's listening board I began to feel used, and underestimated, but I was loved due to my kindness of being so understanding and generous in taking the time to be there for anyone who "used" my ears to tell amazing tales to!
Funny thing happened, one day I decided to turn the tables on one of my loving admirers and found out that no one wanted to "listen" to me, aha!
You know something once you start being chatty though I found it difficult to stop/turn it off, and so that is how we got here!
Talking or I should say writing a blog is great for us chatty peeps, since here it is one sided, and I know anyone who reads this is somewhere out there, or not! This is one of those times you can take it for granted or not. BIG SMILE INSERTED HERE.

So in conclusion balance is what makes the world go round, except when you teach a class, or are in management or any other necessary type job that you must be listened to with minimal interruptions of course...

Love to all, be well, blessings!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
