Waiting...

...for what one might ask or not?
For Gus.
For Gus for what?
For him to be all done.
Done with what?
His yearly check up of shots and blood work and his periodic grooming and for him to awake from his sedation.
His what?
SEDATION!
Yep all that for a mere $350.
He is not in a very good mood when groomed or touched by medical professionals, thus the gas.
Sweetie pie rescue Havanese baby boy turns into CUJO!
That is unless he is sedated and then very special incorrigible dog-child is manageable.
Being a boy he was filthy by today, how he loves to play in the yard, and especially with our water hoses which causes digging in and play fighting with it and the moistness of the ground makes mud, thus the incredible dirty not so little boy, literally, now twenty-five pounds, gaining eight pounds in these last ten months since we adopted him.
Our Skipper, a Bichon Frise was only fifteen pounds, which is the right size for his breed.
Gus is actually a Havanese mix, mixed with what we are not quite sure, maybe Shih Tzu, but he is big for a Havanese or a Shih Tzu so we have been told, neither account for his size.
To us who previously had Yorkies of three and seven pounds then Skipper at fifteen, he seems enormous!
All I am worrying about now is the fact that he has been there since this morning at ten thirty and it's nearly six.
We called about a half hour ago, and they said they were still working on him?
They are open until seven and said they would call back when he is ready.
And so our dinner is on hold.
Us who eat usually like clockwork, breakfast at nine, lunch at noon, and dinner at five, are waiting for our little guy.

On this note of anticipation and slight concern, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Update just in: Doctor/ groomer office called keeping him overnight due to his sedation, will pick him up first thing in the morning.
