September 9-11, St Augustine Florida,September 11-13, Savannah Georgia, September 13-15, Charleston South Carolina, Septmeber 15-17, Amelia Island Florida

A vacation ten years in the making!
Yep you heard right; our last mini vacation was in 2005 just before Katrina struck the panhandle and most all of the northern Gulf states. We had been five days out on that vacation trip and Hubby had a toothache and I had an earache and Skipper, yes our Bichon Frise who passed  away just last November also suffered an ailment with a skin irritation so we felt it best to head home from Seaside Florida, beautiful and artsy by the way. We had been to Cedar Key, also a must see and Panama City and with all the annoying issues we made it home before we even knew about Hurricane Katrina and the devastation she was about to subject that area to, but was quickly informed about her on our return.
Many other health issues caused our delay to go since then and this time we threw caution to the wind and took the chance with this whirlwind four historic sites in about eight days!
Our furthest leg of the trip from here in Port Charlotte to St.Augustine 277.56 miles, next to Savannah Georgia 175.46 miles from there, next to Charleston South Carolina 117.83 miles from there, and then Amelia Island Florida 226.31 miles from there!
And we took the scenic route home from there the longest trip for us.

Eventually we would like to go to New England and even New Orleans that we had had reservations to go to way back in 2001 when 9/11 happened and deterred our plans with concerns of safety.

At this current time I am sorry to report there will be a delay of my interesting pictorial, but it will be very soon.

Sorrowfully my ills came along with us and tonight I am still writing from my bed as I did with my blurbs along the trip.

Good night to all and all be well and enjoy life no matter what!
I am doing my part in that mentality.
