Internal Thermostats

People on the whole, even the healthiest, have at times not perfect 98.6 Fahrenheit body temps., what the medical society considers normal.
Women seem to have more fluctuating body temperatures throughout their lives, hormonally this is a fact.
And men even with their hormones, and yes guys you do have them too do not appear to have that part of their physiology affected as much as women or it could be that they just don't say anything?  Raising two sons and being married forever it surely seems that way to me.

How many of the couples out there have a spouse whose body temp is always cold when you are feeling hot, and I mean too warm in this case? (Get your mind out of the gutter!)
Now that Hubby and me are older it does seem more often than not that this baffling aberration occurs.
Although hormonally it should not; being seniors citizens and all.

But he is cold when you would think from running a fever when ill or mostly just the contrast from it being hot outside and coming into here into the air-conditioning, and I am hot due to my temperature rising due to my MS and my thyroid I suspect; fascinating, but logical.
Crazy thing, these bodies of ours, us humans have.
Just thinking out loud, again.

And that brings me to why once again I am reclining on our bed writing tonight, since arguing over the thermostat when one person is cold and the other is hot is not a great idea for peace on the home-front. So my compromising solution has become either me using ice packs, yes my temperature does go up to one hundred or there about, even with our thermostat set on seventy-seven and at night seventy-five and so I turn the ceiling paddle fan on too while I enjoy my comfort. At night Hubby doesn't seem to mind it as much, the addition of the fan that is with the thermostat down, but we still do have a comforter on the bed even in summer, which here in Florida it is pretty much all of the time.
Any-who, before you all get on Hubby's case for him not making any compromises, but he has and often I just feel actually more comfortable right here reclining most days due to my ills.

In fact when we bought our brand new 2015 grande Dodge caravan SXT last November, after trading in our fourteen year old Chevy SUV we were quite happy about the fact that the temperature controls are divided individually in the front and back of the new car, meaning everyone can be comfortable, even Gus! (Our Havanese mixed rescue dog/child and this was just a few weeks after losing Skipper our Bichon Frise).
Although Gus was not adopted until the end of December, it was considered at the time as still a nice little thing for guests who may travel there too, but of course.

This just made me realize to mention the disturbing events that I hear way too often on the nightly news about children/babies and pets being left in hot cars! It amazes me and for the love of Mike I cannot understand how anyone could be that distracted for that to happen. We raised two sons and not once did we leave them in the car, same with pets, dogs, cats, birds, turtles and snakes, the last few may have come only when we were moving, and nope.
I am so sorry I am sounding so judgmental, but PLEASE PEOPLE, I'M BEGGING YOU TO TOSS THOSE CELL PHONES IN THE BACK SEAT ALONGSIDE THOSE BABIES AND PETS AND MAYBE THEN AND ONLY THEN YOU WILL REMEMBER THERE IS ANOTHER LIVING BEING YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR AND NEEDS YOU TO BE ALERT!
That's all; simplicity at its best.

On that note of keeping track of our most priceless assets, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very good night and to kindly ask you to count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
