So we are both still learning but it does work! The clarity is the picture takers fault not the camera's, working on that too.
In case you didn't know who that is he is our Gus, our rescued Havanese mix. He is currently in training to become a service dog! He is lounging on our guests loveseats set that are in almond micro-suede and stain protected coated so quite durable. He's such a good boy, and we have never been sticklers for keeping our four-legged kids off of the furniture anyway, after all they are family, aren't they?
Any-who, today was fine for pooling (translation: swimming in our backyard pool) again, and since it has been back up to a comfortable temperature I have not missed a day.
Exercise is import for everyone as well as us so-called disabled.
Keeps us alive that much longer, hopefully.
The expression move it or lose it comes to mind.
And also my logic, rather taken as however you like it, "If you keep moving they can't throw dirt on you!" LOL!
My odd tongue in cheek humor, more necessary these days.
But as we all know life does go on... and the quality of that life is up to us and our ability to decide for ourselves, although as too many people have proven that staying healthy hasn't anything to do with how wealthy you are, sometimes even the most access to the best medicines still cannot stop the inevitable. So as people we must put more emphasis on how we lead our lives than too much on our personal quality of that life; and this from a whiner. I am so not perfect though I do try on many days to think out of my tiny life box, my miniscule one...
Moving on...
Sadly, Beau Biden comes to mind the vice president's son, dead at forty-six, three years older than our Number One Son, the importance should be placed on how you live your life rather than what is wrong with it.
He lived his life as if every day truly counted, no complaining just living and being a very decent human being, how proud his Dad was of him, and the rest of his family as well as his colleagues. Sadly, he was introduced to tragedy at such a young age when his Mother and sister were killed he was only a four year old but with a very loving father teaching from then on, probably before too, what truly is important in life, love of family, helping others, and just being what we like to call a MENSCH, a Yiddish word for person. His legacy is not only his wife's love and respect for him but the fact he set a fine precedence of how to live your life for his two young children, a second generational thing passed on from his own father that will continue through their lives too. And yes, what Joe, Mr. Vice President Biden, said that when your children are ones you can be proud of and turn out better than yourself then you know that you did a great job. Not verbatim, but sort of close, here's the exact from Beau Biden quoting his dad, "He’d say, “A father knows he’s a success when he turns and looks at his
son or daughter and know that they turned out better than he did.”
What a mutual admiration society they had.
And such a fine example of a father sons and daughter relationships; the way we all wish for... and hope to earn.
As we get closer to Father's Day, remember your pops any which way you can although the best way is always with love and respect. And I do so hope that is what your parent has for you as well, what a fine legacy.
And isn't that what it is all truly about?
My Dad was that kind of wonderful man and my Hubby is too to his sons.
On that note of hope for all, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
