Are you smarter than a Smart Phone?

I am beginning to think that I am not!
Let me explain... if any of you have been following this latest saga of "I drowned my two and half year old dumb flip phone but a Motorola and haven't been able to find a comparable decent one of equal value and quality", and so YEP, we caved to social mores and are now the somewhat confused but learning owners of two semi Smarter phones but not "I" 's, got that?
So we scanned our Consumer Cellular site once again because they do have the best cost effective non-contractual monthly prices for us that we can find anywhere! And yes we did not have to pre-pay monthly or pay indefinitely an enormous purchase commitment of the $600-$800 range, no ours are all paid for at $100 a piece, yes more than we have paid for our phones in years and years, although perhaps not more than our 1992 bag-phone cost way back then, who remembers, really? Any-who and these are Motorola Moto E LTE that do most all tricks those fancier phones do:

We pay only $32.72 including all taxes, yes the bottom line, for two phones monthly but of course we only share 150 minutes, since that is all we really need, really.

For years we had been with ATT and paid foolishly over sixty-five bucks for our two phones with rollover minutes; so many in the thousands of minutes not used, it would make any teen blush with thinking we were bad not in a good way either. And then the ridiculousness of the quantity left over when we were literally using less than 100 minutes a month and some months even less than fifty, I know I can hear you all gasping..., not really but I bet you could be. I just can't really hear you, but you knew that. You see, we still have a home phone for local calls and toll free ones that is no longer used as it once was for the last several years for dial up, hmm, hmm. Sadly for way too long we had dial-up with ATT, twelve years, and for that I feel ashamed!
These last two and a half years have been our wiser years though, and so when we were met with this latest dilemma we had to make a mistake and then rectify it and so we did.
Yes, the newest smarter phones are compatible with our Bluetooth/ U connect system and I can Google my PICS and also utilize a USB cord, although it did not come with one, I should be able to buy one for not too much at most all electronics stores.
The Oregon based Consumer Cellular company has 24/7 technical support too, and we were activated once again and walked through this and thats for setting up what we needed.
It appears that the Envoy is fine for not as tech savvy needs, for most minimalistic wants and desires, but sadly we have gotten too needy with certain creature comforts and so to meet them we had to bite the bullet and accept the fact that we are more complicated than we thought, huh? I suppose we are...
But I did stick to my roots by choosing a "simple" ringtone, that is honestly its name and it happens to be quite melodic.
The smartest thing we ever did was switch to Consumer Cellular and so we did those two and a half years ago.
And yes, the other day I was confused and not that knowledgeable of the technical concept of having a smarter phone. Why even today when being explained about the phone speaking with the tech on our speaker home phone as she walked us through everything I goofed and put mine on "mute", but it was only muted from my end I could still hear her, so that confused me...so tired and I have been up since three A.M., must be a good excuse since I promptly was excused after the nice woman, Fara, in Oregon was done with her teachings I took my afternoon nap. Hubby was responsible from removing my phone from being muted, just like on the computer, and ordinarily I know that but I am sooooo tired still!
Any-who, there was no problem returning our mistake phones and all they did instead of refunding the total of the first two Bob, at Sears, adding the difference plus tax to our credit card bill and that was that!
The sim cards will be cleared, we hadn't put very much on them anyway, no secrets and just a couple of pictures and phone numbers of family, no big deal.

We copied via handwriting the phone numbers we cared to keep and sent the rest to wherever such things go. As you all know we are both open books and have no secrets anyway none that I probably already told on this blog in these last seven years... and so NO BIG DEAL FOLKS, really!

Our use is highly impersonal for these techno devices as well they should be for all of us, since BIG BROTHER as well as other nations are watching, intercepting and listening and who knows what else, so be aware, care enough to behave!

On that note of silly allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know whom and we will too!

Next time please be here or be square, ya hear!

Enjoy our bumper crop of pineapples: The count is a total of four, see if you can find them; all from our original purchase of one from Sam's Club years ago. Their crowns with a bit of meat of the pineapples will be planted for the newest additions to the crop for next year of eight!
