Two Amaryllis stems loaded with pretty pink flowers from our garden that Hubby picked for me; beautiful and cheery.I added the appropriate longevity items and if I recall they should last for a few days longer than expected without.
Below is a project long overdue a life preserver that we have had for years with a clean slate needing some distinction. So my decision to state our name of our homestead to hang from our white fence facing it towards the canal with our email name of a corruption/fracturing of our actual last name but made nautically into what I think/thought was rather clever since we reside waterfront here. Got the idea from Gull Cottage from the Ghost and Mrs. Muir movie, circa 1947: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ghost_and_Mrs._Muir but I saw it on WOR channel 9 TV out of NYC as a child in New Jersey, one of the Million Dollar movies they ran when I was growing up in suburbia during the1950's and '60's onward.
The above life preserver was done free hand years ago; I had used silver colored paint for the background and flowery lettering in teal and pink, so welcoming, hmm, ha. It hangs at the end of the pool above our planters with marigolds, it is half the size of the newest one, but hard to tell I suppose.
The plants' ladder was used for a magazine rack in the living room before our new loveseats arrived, it had been a gift from my teacher cousins that didn't want it anymore so they painted it to match our decor.
On this little vision into our doings even when home and it has been raining on and off most of the day...so far it is not looking good for the hook up through this USB cord both computers will not recognize the camera. Well that is not totally true, this older one I am on does but asks for me to install its hardware, disk or some type of DVD which there is none. Even made contact with Jennifer at Consumer Cellular tech support but she kept asking us to check in our "E" drive for it showing up but this older one did not have it and the newer one's "E' drive is a mystery to us, sad, hmm? Oh well, we have not given up I just got real tired and so tomorrow's another day and we will try once again.
For two people who have been on computers since 1982 and cell phones since 1992 this is quite embarrassing!
On that note of try, try, again tomorrow, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know whom and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
(PS no ghosts here although for a time after Hurricane Charley struck we did discuss the possibility with a couple of ghost chasers, since we did have some unexplained rising smoke in our gutted kitchen.)
