Galleria Mall and Peace River Seafood

Looking for something to do today away from the BLACK FRIDAY CROWDS I Googled antiques and museums and this place came up. Oddly enough they have been there eight years and somehow we had missed them. Perfect for a day like today when sadly our perfect Florida weather was unfortunately too cold for us locals to go to the beach anyway with highs only in the sixties, brrr! My maneuverability was not too bad, I was able not to hit either the other patrons or the goods! I felt a bit like a bull in a China shop, but to my surprise I did great, in other words I managed NOT to hit anything or anybody! And neither did Hubby when for a while he had to transform my chariot into its transporter mode...
Interestingly, while there I met and chatted with two women who had relatives with Multiple Sclerosis and one man who had it too and also had my current Dr. Happy in Sarasota too, what a coincidence, hmm?

The Galleria Mall is not far from the hub of Punta Gorda, it is only out on Duncan Road, also known as Highway 17 North, just a few miles to finding that gift that is a unique keepsake...5260 Duncan Road in Unit 5... (941) 347-8044 their site is: www.galleriamallantinques.com
email is: aspellboundcraft@aol.com T.C. Dorler is the owner.
Enjoy your virtual browse, but you can always go there in person, check their open close times at their site. Remember Saturday is small business day which is a great day to try something new, and for us they were just that, quite satisfying.

Lunch was at the Peace River Seafood restaurant! They are known for their blue crabs, but it kills me to pay for something that we used to catch for free... and so Hubby chose a burger with tasty fries, and I decided on, would you believe two dozen steamer clams that came with half a corn on the cob and a small red potato? Well, I did and they were great and Hubby did have a couple too, and I had a few of his scrumptious seasoned fries, very similar to Jack's on Marion, we thinks they might purchase them both from Sysco, the restaurant supply company out of Texas that we had used too back in the late eighties when we also were in the biz. And no, neither of us had a whim for Mullet that jump often in our canal behind our home, some love them, but so far we have nixed the possibility, as well as for catfish that so many seem to like. And yes, when we used to fish both were very easy to catch but we threw them back. The restaurant is on your right on the way back to town: located at 5337 Duncan Road too; a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Phone number is:
(941) 505-8440.

On that note of keeping you up to date on where we have been and where we are going, thinking and doing, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask all of you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
