...sometimes there is a glitch in the
fulfillment of carrying them out...?
Many of us consider when we decide to do something and something gets in the way of completing what we were intending on doing that that is just a lame excuse.
But at times we do have a legitimate reason for not completing our most simple of our desired tasks with absolute good reasoning!
This morning my intention was to go into our swimming pool for my usual exercise/walking program for two half hour sets…but as any of us know who live in my area the weather did not cooperate, in other words it rained and rained and rained… even now it is still raining!
And a few others of us would ask then why did you still not go in?
After all you were going to get wet anyway.
Or others might inquire if it was lightning?
And my answers would be, the truth, no it was not thundering or lightning and sure getting wet is all part of it and there was no reason for me not to go in if those simplistic reasonings are what it is all about.
Although, I do want the exercise and the pool is the most gentle for that the air temperature was a wee bit too cold for my thin Florida blood and the pool water too had diminished from its perfect temp of eighty-five to probably several degrees below the optimum comfort zone for me to get the exercise with the benefits too.
I am just a week, again, from finishing the steroids that do lower your ability to fight off infections, which I did forget all about that aspect of them when going back to the rehab for physical therapy so soon too…, so far I am okay, I think, don’t say a word!
I did have PT again and this time with Paula I did ask to try some strengthening exercises instead of just using the ultrasound machine.
My belief is that I need to be doing something physical more so than just sitting there as a lump, ya know?
Sure I am trying to push myself a wee bit, but under constant supervision with professionals it is a better way to at least try a little shove.
And so I was given a yellow band with knots on either end to stretch, one arm pulling at a time, alternating, lying down and sitting. I was also given an icepack for my pained area, you know where, for relief, while doing these exercises.
I did become dizzy a few times.
It frustrates me that it happens even when I am already lying down too.
The pain has taken over most of the PT sessions these days, and so I wanted to try to deal with something else, but I suppose I was wrong.
Now I am feeling it and I did nap again when we came home after picking up my prescriptions and having lunch again at Panera's.
This time a lovely couple from the rehab came in after us and sat nearby us and we were able to chat, it was rather nice.
For dinner tonight was our leftovers of my homemade chicken soup and salad for me and for Hubby my homemade chicken pot pie from the same rotisserie chicken that we had bought from the Sam’s Club… Geez, we sure do get a lot of mileage out of them!
On that note of eating well and hoping to feel better in the future, allow me to be the very first to wish you all a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
