Ta Da!

The grander, well maybe mostly large, sorta pretty big for us anyway, very much there, that's it.... GRAND FINALE of this yes, why not, particular project!

The object of this minute display to some is it is not only a barrier for me against the too much joyous sunshine that is not only good for us, but harmful too!
And between the rain and the now shade it can, when needed, keep the temperature of the pool from not becoming too hot!
And to all of you who do not know what the actual height is of each of those corners, well the two on the right side attached to the 2X4s, ten feet long, are up eight feet high, two feet of the ten foot boards are underground and the boards are also screwed into the fence's 4X4s, which are underground three feet deep. The cleats on the 2X4s are to lower that side in the advent of severe wind or weather at a moments notice.
The hook eyes on the other two sides are through thick boards as well, the one on the overhang side of our lanai is also part of our roof system, although they are at just seven foot four inches high on that side allowing for rain to run off.
The entire concept from start to finish cost less than $50 and the idea was from so many of the magazines I read online of sailcloth for outdoor use for shade.
We are fortunate to have so many items in the home, as the white exterior paint, which is used a lot and hook-eyes so those items did not have to be purchased and Hubby made the cleats from scrap wood!

Moving on...

This afternoon we took a break, Hubby more than me needing one, I only did laundry a couple of loads, but he fought getting the lawn mowed before the threat of afternoon showers made good on their promise?

So we just so happen to have the movie Captain Phillips in the house and that is what we did, after my afternoon nap we watched that. "Captain Phillips is a 2013 American drama thriller film directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Tom Hanks and Barkhad Abdi. The film is inspired by the true story of the 2009 Maersk Alabama hijacking, an incident during which merchant mariner Captain Richard Phillips was taken hostage by pirates in the Indian Ocean led by Abduwali Muse." Thanks to:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Phillips_%28film%29
It was quite suspenseful and I do think we both enjoyed this two hour and fourteen minute flick that went by faster than you might think.
Sign me on for anything staring Tom Hanks anyway.
In conclusion if you haven't seen it yet, try to.

On that note of whatever floats your boat, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
