I know that many might be saddened by our removal of our beautiful Bougainvillea vine that for years and years adorned our lanai area of our patio, but the reasons for removing it was vast. It was a lovely hiding place for the birds; Hubby feeds daily and a safe haven for them to hide from any predators, especially the hawk that frequents our yard as well as the feral cats. Although, those reasons are quite legitimate for keeping the beauteous planting ( we have many other trees and bushes for them to find for cover too) it was also a home to other not so desirable habitants, such as wasps and hornets nests, besides the lovely birds nests, but horrendously a home too for literal rats nests! And so as lovely a plant as it had been we had decided to have Hubby perform major surgery on it cutting it back to stubble. And that does not mean it will never blossom again it only means that it will be contained. Plus this is only the Mother plant of the one that I had moved years ago, at least a decade or more that too had become another healthy monstrous bush down by the water, and in reality we had thought this one had been removed then, but interestingly came back much to our many years of delight.
As you can see the fencing that Hubby has provided for my privacy is well established on just two sides, but there is another larger/higher white fence on the third. It is there due to one side the right having a chain-link one with an established Alamanda vine but still allowing viewing into our yard in my opinion and of course there was no need for one on the water side to the saltwater canal It is replacing my other mistake of the Bamboo bush I thought would be a great privacy plant, and it was, but was a voracious grower and soon took over too much too!.Our lanai is a bit messy due to the construction of this his newest project that you have not figured out yet, but might with all the additional clues...
Hubby using his floating level here....
An eye there now.
What is that?
Or that?
Oh my another eye!
Hints are getting more abundant, hmm?
Oh well, due to a nasty rain storm the finale of this project will have to wait until tomorrow!
But I bet some have figured it out, no?
Then stay tuned...
On that note of mystery, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and kindly count all your blessings and share your overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
PS due to some feeling that I am living in the past...so I have chosen to discontinue, throwback Thursday PICS! Sadly, I have decided they were perhaps right?
