Well, not actually.
Too difficult to fit an entire day under my metaphoric waist cincher!
In truth my girth is way too large to even consider emphasizing my middle as a curvaceous selection section.
Sure there was a time when my body had a natural indentation that conformed to what was considered preferable that being of ten inches smaller than either protuberance was above or below the center of my anatomy.
Any-who, my metaphoric belt that encompassed my day's awareness of accomplishing was in reality a half day of doing what many would consider an okay half day. So here's what was done by me, swimming a wee bit in the pool and mostly doing my ROM, range of motion, exercises since I do have my own personal certified Aquacize instructor; who one might ask? Why me of course!I taught for four years and was certified through the Arthritis Foundation back in the late 1990's, including life saving again ( I had taken it at 15 years old in camp) and CPR, with refresher courses accordingly, follow-ups according to requirements as well.
Since I have been getting back into it I had started with only a half hour each day for the first two weeks, but switched it up to an hour a few days ago, with a five minute break in between. After that was PT today, physical therapy for forty-five minutes too! I did similar range of motions with using the parallel bars with PT Bryan. I asked him why on land I get dizzy, but in the pool I don't.
Logically he answered me, but of course...I am basically weightless in the pool, and on land I am not! Duh.
Since I am in this larger economy size for these last few years all my organs must work harder... so depressing, but don't worry I won't go there again!
Although, that was not what set me off the other night.
It was more, bigger than that, too personal, yep even I have my limits!
Anyway, for a change of pace I made a BIG decision to change up my appearance once again.
After careful consideration and much deliberation I have come to the conclusion that in my heart I am a BLOND! I had gone back to natural for about six months this time, two haircuts for me...
So before we went to my PT we went into our other famous grocery store, Winn Dixie, which just so happens to be in the same shopping center as my PT Hospital rehab center and we purchased L'OREAL, since I am worth it and it's still a bigger bargain than the pros charge. Although, even with the prettiest lightest shade I found and after the recommended forty minutes there is only a slightly subtle change!
My hair was very light and now I suppose it will take many months unless I do a two process strip tease; of my hair that is! It is not beyond my realm of knowledge, after all for over fifty years I had been a blond on and off!
Two reasons I did decide for this momentous change, the most vibrant reasoning is, is when my Mom, after her entire life had colored her hair and so when she stopped about a year or so before she passed away, was as if she had given up. Let's face it my Mom was beautiful and a bit vain with refusing to even wear her reading glasses in front of people.
And when she appeared not to care anymore in her crowning glory is when I knew she gave up. She had had breast cancer with a radical mastectomy in 1980 and then her both knees she was told needed replacing and she refused, saying that she had had enough surgeries. There were other surgeries besides the mastectomy, but I was a kid then so I don't recall. It was difficult for her to get around and she was horrified at the loss of her breast and in those days no one discussed reconstruction procedures; I think that was a rarity then.
So she was miserable and had given up I do believe when she decided not to have her hair done in her signature strawberry blond that adorned her head for decades, and then she died... in eleven and half hours from that major stroke, less than two years later.
Thus me telling people to realize that mobility and reconstruction are quality of life issues and do mean a lot!
The second reason is rather scary due to looking at my throwback Thursday Pics that Hubby's mom was in many, and don't get me wrong, but she did treat me well many a time albeit not always. We did include her in several vacations with us as you may have noticed, but what shocked me was how instead of me aging into my beautiful mom I was looking more like my mother-in-law! HORRORS!
Okay so now you know my dilemma, and now I will go back to blond as fast as I can muster the solution!
By the way, this might sound ridiculous to many of you, but how you look does have a direct correlation to how you feel. This particular reasoning has in the recent past been used on women especially who lost their hair from chemo, by putting wigs or pretty scarves on their bare domes and makeup on them, and voila feeling better has an absolute attachment on how we physically feel that we look better, conclusion look good feel good, TA DA!
On that note of proof allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you all to kindly count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
