The long-distance neuro, as he shall be noted as, to us is, due to the trip to see him; that will be early next month,it is a ninety-four mile round trip!
Easy peasy; I hear most of you all saying, hmm? It's been a while since either of us traveled that distance, although we both have had long driving trips in our past experiences, jobs.
Hubby while in college was a NY/NJ cabbie to help pay his way, and decades later, I was a district manager in Florida with five stores, in five counties, which caused me to have to drive three thousand miles a month!
It's just these last few years that we have maintained our ten mile radius with all we need within it; so why venture further? (Anyway, actually, Hubby recently clocked the true mileage and it is a bit more in reality.)
Shopping and entertainment as well as hobbies, etc, plenty to do, and even doctors and hospitals, really!
Sometimes we have to, yep just have to leave our tight little area of our newest normalcy.
Over the years even before moving permanently here in 1986 we had been to nearly every area of this state from each coast and to all places of interest and some of not much interest, ha!
So we even have been to where this long-distance doc is many times over, during many decades, since the boys were babies, in the 1970's! My first Florida visit was the winter of '57-58' and then again '67.
Sarasota is one of many lovely cities in our state, nothing to say bad about it and that is where we will be going to see this newest doc for me.
I have a mid-afternoon appointment and so perhaps it might make sightseeing to their many neat places to go difficult, or maybe not, we will see...
Or maybe if I don't feel too bad in the future we might take some side-trips, lotsa to do there: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g34618-Activities-Sarasota_Florida.html
Google any city besides the usual ones that you were for all those amusement parks; almost every city has something fun to do here!
Sure, all over this state!
We all need to work on that "happy feeling," true? Life can be depressing...
It's as important as laughter to help you feel better, I do believe strongly in that.
So on that note of finding joy, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night, I started writing a happy birthday, oops! Any-who, have one of those too if it applies, even if not, ha...and kindly count all your blessings and share those overages and we will too!
And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
