Decisions are for the people to make for themselves!

"Partridge Family - Come On Get Happy Lyrics

Hello world here's a song that we're singing
Come on get happy
A whole lotta lovin' is what we'll be bringing
We'll make you happy

Travelin' along there's a song that we're singin'
Come on get happy
A whole lotta lovin' is what we'll be bringin'
We'll make you happy
We'll make you happy

We had a dream we'd go travelin' together
And spread a little lovin', then we keep moving on
Something always happens whenever we're together
We get a happy feeling when we're singing a song

Trav'lin' along, here's a song that we're singing
Come on get happy
A whole lotta lovin' is what we'll be bringing
We'll make you happy
Come on get happy"

Ever notice how sometimes song lyrics just say it better.

When I was around six or maybe a bit older I would watch all those old musicals on TV, by then I was already in my second year of dancing school and had a few recitals under my belt and I was on the cusp of my girl scout/brownies caroling career at age seven and school choir starting in fifth grade at age ten.
I thought that it was normal/ not really, but wouldn't it be loverly if singing was a way to communicate with people instead of how we do? I had seen the King and I too on Broadway by then with my friend Erica's Mom in the role of Tuptim, the woman brought to the King as a present, and then the King of Siam was Yule Brenner, who originated that role and Anna was played by Jan Clayton, the one who played Joey's Mom on Lassie, the TV show also. I got to meet them all backstage, WOW!
Any-who...Why do we settle for just bland conversing, when we should be more melodious than that, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Come on get happy! It did work then, but the question is would it work now?

Today for the first time in ages we, Hubby and I did something we hadn't done in quite some time we watched a kids musical, the filmed version of the actual Tony award winning Broadway show, Shrek, the Musical!  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3070936/
And we found ourselves singing along and loving it!
Small things that cause joy!

And so as we choose our demeanor's as well as how we fit into this world without becoming Ogres/Shreks and learning to become mensches, as our parents would have wanted... let this be my rude awakening of things getting better and life being something not trying to get me...simpatico and balance, what more can one want or hope for?
