Got my health insurance bill yesterday and it said...

...that I had a -$505.45 balance, a credit.
So I called Florida Blue, since I also noticed that the check I had stopped payment on and my credit card payment were both on the top of the bill saying payments of $505.45+ $505.45= $1010.90- $505.45 = -$505.45 balance
What?
So I called, since the large amount concerned me, with that first check, cut on 12-18-13 and that it was told to me that it had not arrived there and so it was stopped, thus the phone call credit card payment to get it in under the thought to be deadline.
My bank account was credited with the amount of the stopped check, it had been removed on the eighteenth, but by January 2,2014 it was replaced, and even my bank sent me a message notifying me of their doing what was suggested at that point. I even documented what was happening here.

Now I was concerned that even though I personally notified them, FL Blue, that the check they had claimed even up until I notified them that they never received  it and made the notation in their computer of the stop payment with the credit card one making it in the nick of time!

And now after I spoke to my insurance agent, just yesterday, who assured me that even though the new coverage with the FL Blue Options would take effect February 1.2014, I would still be covered by the FL Blue Select till then. Now this strange confusion. I asked the billing department woman, Shanelle, and she said that I still did have coverage from the Select until the Options took effect and that my monies due for the new policy would only be $56.06 on February 1.2014, the difference?

I tried to explain that means I have the Select one for free this month, but it wasn't of any use anyway, hmm? 
Maybe they do have a heart.
But my math and theirs doesn't jive...After blowing my stack this morning, although, while writing this I finally got what they did!
I did check my bank account to make sure that they didn't just try to cash that stopped check and they didn't... so they are being nice to me and so after all this baloney I've been through...they gave me a safety net until the right one kicks in, since the old Select one did give me access to hospitals therefore ER's and such, which I worried my health insurance agent with when we spoke just yesterday, concerned if something happened while waiting at the time for ten more days for coverage.

Yep, my worrying finally was alleviated and I didn't get it!

I wanted to take care of my new bill but they said to wait till I received it...just nine more days...I sure hope this nightmare is really finally over!
