Healing powers...

Have you ever wondered why some chronic illnesses, at times, appear to wane?
In fact, even with Multiple Sclerosis has one type that does just that and it is called Relapsing Remitting type, which most of us with MS are usually first diagnosed with that.
But some are diagnosed with Primary Progressive which does not usually wax or wane and as its name implies it will only progress, got that?
Multiple Sclerosis is considered an 'orphan disease' and falls under NORD: http://www.rarediseases.org/rare-disease-information
And that is due to only around 250, 000 to 350, 000 having MS in the whole of these United States.

Any-who, many that do have the RRMS form of MS may very well be very well for weeks, months and years at a time, and then sadly relapse and this is how it got its name. But some, a few lucky ones, just have one exacerbation/flair and never have another Multiple Sclerosis sign or symptom ever again and this type is called Benign Multiple Sclerosis.

So, when we hear of miracles in our group I wonder?
Perhaps, many have the types that are on course to do what they do?
Who knows, but someday we all might, and wouldn't that be lovely?

Moving on...
My actual title was not for MS, which sadly mine has not waned since 2006, but for Hubby's and my yesterday accidental injuries. His was wind incurred and door scrapping skin affect and mine due to not being able to hold things for very long and once again being impatient and also so over Hubby's wanting to do everything and not letting me do anything! All I was trying to do was put some oxy-clean in the washer with the other soaps and baking soda as we always do to start a load of wash. The three pound plastic container did drop from about a three foot height, off of the top of the ledge of the washing machine, and seemed to hit with nearly the force of a major boulder or some other heavy projectile!

Fortunately, Hubby's arm is looking better, not perfect, but two of his bloody gashes are scabbing over with the third having about one more day to go to catch up, i.e. his largest one... but looks like it is definitely on its way to mending!
I too am impressed with my own healing powers on that BIG TOE of mine which once washed via today's shower it looks so much better now.
Mind you, both were washed well with soap and water when they happened as well as dried and then triple action antibiotic salve was applied and last they were all covered with bandages. And so as of today, it seems to be how and why they did do so well only a day later! Plus of course from our own antibodies occurring naturally in our blood streams kicking in...
Makes one wonder why then do and why they only take care of small to medium bodily issues... And yes, Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease, like so many others, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and even AIDS, which makes many confused when you tell them that...  so below is the medical definition...

Autoimmune disease: An illness that occurs when the body tissues are attacked by its own immune system. The immune system is a complex organization within the body that is designed normally to "seek and destroy" invaders of the body, including infectious agents. Patients with autoimmune diseases frequently have unusual antibodies circulating in their blood that target their own body tissues.
Examples of autoimmune diseases include systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren syndrome, Hashimoto thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile (type 1) diabetes, polymyositis, scleroderma, Addison disease, vitiligo, pernicious anemia, glomerulonephritis, and pulmonary fibrosis.
Autoimmune diseases are more frequent in women than in men. It is felt that the estrogen of females may influence the immune system to predispose some women to autoimmune diseases. Furthermore, the presence of one autoimmune disease increases the chance for developing another simultaneous autoimmune disease."
