Some searches are not worth the effort...

And some take you in circles back to where you begun.
I don’t know if any of you recall that my cooling vest needed replacement cold packs, due to leaking?

Well, I had gone online and was not happy with the prospect of having to pay $14.95 for shipping charges for an item that was $25!

Today, before and after we went for my workout at the rehab/gym I called one of the local medical supply stores MDS and asked if they had cold packs that might fit into my vest and they did not, and so since we have other ones en-route to the gym we tried another, Unity. Hubby went in, taking one of them, cold packs, out of my vest to compare apples to apples or in this case, cold packs to cold packs and they too did not have any that would have fit…and they said that perhaps Walgreen’s might.

After the gym we had decided that we would go to the Cracker Barrel for my occasional desired fulfillment of my rainbow trout and Hubby had the special of their chicken pot pie. This time I goofed and ordered my ole friend unsweet iced tea with extra lemons and then Hubby ordered coffee, but there it is fifty cents less for each one than most other places.

On the way there Hubby went into the Walgreen’s, and he reported back that they did not have anything close to what I needed, but had suggested that I try online for their store.

Hubby looked online, while I was watching General Hospital; the only one of my soap operas still left on the air… and he had no luck finding anything that was equal to mine!

His feelings were that I should contact the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America who had gotten the cooling vest for me and I felt that it was too much to ask them for anything else, since they had been so generous to me over the years, but I acquiesced and called them anyway.

The young woman there, named Samantha, suggested that I contact the company again, but this time by phone and so I did.

They are Steele Body Cooling Comfort Systems and their toll free number is 888-783-3538 and they have been in business since 1984, Lynn a co-owner answered the phone. I explained to her what had been going on and said that I felt the shipping cost was too much and she said that had to be fixed online and that she would be taking care of it; meanwhile she told me that my shipping would be $5.30 and overnight! WOW!
Now you know that at times talking to a live person is better than handling things on the net without the human touch!
No wonder this small family run business has been in existence for nearly 30 years they know how to handle people.
They are out of Kingston Washington.

They are the ones that provide the free vests for the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America and according to Lynn at the vest company, we are able to receive a new free one every five years, it used to be a one time only deal.
She was a delight!
And very capable and likeable woman and so I would recommend speaking to her at the toll free number.
Orders also can be faxed to (360) 297-2816

Not all journeys are fruitless, some are fruitful like mine, and so by my desire to get the best deal actually did just that and make for a very good relationship with a fine company!
PS from the MSAA I did find out that my cooling vest was given to me in April of 2011 and according to Lynn from the company that provided it that is the average time period that those cold packs last. I guess that means by April of 2016 I may be in for a new one, i.e. vest, hmm?

On that note of my helper notes for you too, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
