Genius, not!

I am of an uncomplicated thought process.
I am able to read, although not so much now due to my compromised eyesight, but at one time a book a day voracious reader.
I do try hard to speak my mind as often as possible, although low key, daily here, ha.
I have an above average I.Q. of 120, see, yet no genius.
I know people from all over the world, thanks to my traveling as a college student, and then again making connections on Facebook sort of…
And yet there is so much for me to learn today, tomorrow and in the future.
People surprise me daily, as I bet they do you too?

Then I ask all of you…
Why do we have the media and commercial advertisements talking down to us?
Locally, we appear to have circular news blurbs, a loop, beginning once again hourly, perhaps a round-about would be more accurate, and without follow-ups to their teaser stories, you tune in as they have asked and then nothing! Do they believe that hourly new listeners joining them or are they trying to teach us by rote?
Although, the sameness of the reporting continues for the entire time they have you captured in their realm of watching them and listening to them at their station.

A true newsworthy story, fifty years in the making!
This just in: DNA proof was extracted from a victim of the Boston Strangler remains and compared with the man who confessed and was incarcerated  he was killed in prison back in 1973 they used his DNA remains for the match, now that has been determined as absolute proof that he did it, at least this particular victim anyway…! Here’s the link:

Now why can’t they have great follow-ups like this? I suppose in fifty years, bud, dump, bum...
I know, I know, I do miss my CNN feed on the TV, but I can access it here online and for some reason I don’t always think that way…
News all day long can be a bit much too, ya know?
Fluff pieces are at times way too many and used as fillers, as always I suspect.
Slow news days, make way for too much news days, I guess.
But even on the worse of news days with so many stories it is like watching an ugly tennis match with switching channels to get the latest and best informed and newest information, especially when going to an out of state location where the news story occurred. And who picks those eyewitness people to get their personal accounts from? Many use double negatives and have speech patterns from outer space and are looking a bit too much like Honey Boo Boos extended family members, not that there is anything wrong with that, or many have missing teeth, we all agree even if you can’t afford a dental plan you don’t offer to get on an international camera feed to the world! Damn me, that was just plain mean; they could more than likely have vital information and should all be included no matter what they look like!

Recently, I was asked to be interviewed about my experiences with the two hurricanes we had been directly and indirectly involved in, direct hit with one, helped after the other, and my bout of PTSD, post traumatic stress disorder, I refused the interview.
I am not shy and I have been on TV before and radio and interviewed before for even a major newspaper as well. It’s my current appearance of being in a wheelchair and half blind and having a brace on my right hand, as well as my enormous body; all those other times I was slim and trim and healthier than now.
I suppose I am perpetuating my own wrongful bias of how I believe one should look when interviewing and what they, the average person, should look like too, hmm?
Prejudicial, and bullying from me at my self, although, I still have a very nice smile!
I have my nerve!
Shame on me!
Again!
People of all types should be able to have THEIR VOICE when they have valid information or eyewitness accounts of major news stories, of course! Or hide in their attics or basements, KIDDING! We have neither, hard for me to find a really good hiding spot these days...
But wouldn’t it be something if we all could get makeovers first?
Just thinking…

On that note of a very silly ending note, allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who and we will too!

And next time please be here or be square, ya hear!
