Toilet paper roll holder came off the wall with the toilet paper...

…toilet seat cracked; my third broken one in the last three years....what next? I was feeling really bad about it and saying that this proves to me that I have a major weight issue and that is an understatement, or not? I wouldn’t know for hours that a family member and I have had similar experiences and that person insists it is shabby workmanship! So I’ll go with that… who am fooling? Those toilet paper holders though are the new wooden ones that I so wanted; they seem to come off the wall it you tear the paper in the wrong direction and Hubby has fixed it a few times… could I be so wrong? Perhaps, I should have left the fake brass one? They never did that. My comedy or errors set the tone for they day, PS I used Hubby’s bathroom in the interim so all was not lost. The need to get another new one, toilet seat that is, was of immediate need and that was the deciding factor for our itinerary for the day. Hubby, at first was going to go to Ace, but I felt that I needed a heavy duty one, get your minds out of the gutter! I said duty, not doody, although apropos for the type of equipment; did I just use elementary school humor? Nevermind… If they made one off the rack, so to speak for the larger derrier/tush/butt/petutie, sitter body part, you get the idea… Any-who, I felt that perhaps Walmart might have an option in their physically challenged equipment area. They have had better prices than most for things like bath chairs; there it was twenty dollars cheaper than other places for my second generation one. When we arrived by their garden center we got lucky with a handicap space right there! Inside just passed the garden department, is the area where the cosmetics and pharmacy and on the back shelves are where the items are for us who need assistance. The raised seats were solid hard a polymer of some type and five and half inches high… a dizzying height for a shorty like me, and looking at the specimen; have to wear heels to reach that, now that’s just downright ridiculous, wearing heels to take care of business of that nature, phew, and absurd! And so we moved on to the bath accessories department, and lo and behold… a throne fit for a queen and with a shell shaped like lid in white, and the piece de resistance…the packaging stating 'heavy duty'! Kismet! And so we took it, but of course, wouldn’t you? BIG SMILE HERE! When we arrived home at one forty-five darling son, our number one called, he has been doing that a lot lately, nearly weekly, wow! And yes, I do love it, except he does it on his way home from here or there while driving which makes me very nervous! At least he says he no longer texts and he does use hands free equipment built into his car. We talked longer than I like with him in that precarious situation and he is the one who told me about his under achieving bathroom coverlet for his personal appliance too, whew that made me feel a bit better. And he is the one, not unlike me who is into consumerism issues. Therefore he was the one who claimed shoddy workmanship was the cause, not over abundance of tukis! G-d bless my first born with such good judgment… Although, here is where Mom, me says, two days ago I signed up for the rehab to use their equipment near medical professionals and the orientation is at three today and we are going… since I do know that I am more than fat, I am currently obese, see I call it as it is…and being threatened with the last drawer of becoming a diabetic I had made my decision before the potty incident! And so at about fifteen minutes before three in a dangerous storm with being under a tornado watch and all we left for the rehab, less than two miles from our home to become oriented for the first time in eight years being exposed to public exercise equipment that wasn’t mine or Gold’s or their PT OT use either… As the younger woman spoke about each item that we could use, I began to lose hope… most of them required hopping on and using all four limbs to wisk you away to health and slenderism. Only two brave souls showed up that was me and another older than me gentleman,(and of course Hubby was there too as my push man), named Mike, as Sharon the orienteer continued, she saw my devastation as she demo each piece of equipment and I spoke louder from the stage whispering voice one that I had been using and asked if I could use the one item of exercise equipment that looked familiar and friendly for me, but it was on the imaginary 20th parallel of where independent/ not in OT or PT and dependent in OT and PT people could go… as I begged to go on the slanted bench that you push with your legs while lying on it, she acquiesced to my need to feel that it might work, she even aided me with the transfer from wheelchair and so I pushed but not correctly I was told ninety degrees, but I was doing it wrong. I was readjusted and then I did a couple and I wanted this one to be my claim to regain! Sharon, showed me the other one that my wheelchair could also snuggle up to once the seat was removed, it was for bicycling with your arms… I took it slow, but with my brace it didn’t seem too bad and my shoulders behaved too. Sharon asked to be called for her to assist me for transfers or whatever, whenever I come in, since she is there five days a week, and I thanked her with a big hug! They have you fill out the forms up front before you go in not holding them responsible if anything happens, and you pay up front too. The price is right through H2U a hospital organization that I have belonged to for years for only fifteen dollars for the whole year, this allows for only fifteen dollars for fifteen days of use of the facility. A pretty good deal, hmm? On that note of some note of hope… allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all your overages with you know who, and we will too! And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?!
