Doctor visit, more medication, dead battery right outside, jumped by a pro...

… battery under warranty only two year’s use on a three year battery, disposal fee $1.61, lunch with the many, but not where we’re going to, still make our stops after but don’t get what we want, but what we like, day not a total loss after all. YES, that about sums up our day. Shall I fill in a bit of details? Whoa! I can hear you! Use your inside voices please. I had my neuro appointment for this morning at 10:30 and I came prepared, although, when we arrived they said that it was supposed to be next month on the eighteenth, huh? I wrote it on my calendar for today and so they said they would fit me in, gosh I sure am having problems…hmm? Any-who, I wrote out all my questions and info yesterday on the computer in question form, that is what we should all do before going to our doctor’s visits, as well as any new test results or medicine changes or new allergies, etc. And since I was trained to teach a class on such things I do know that and so I did it all the way I just said. But as here there on my questions and issues of health related problems I did elaborate and asked for specific ideas on how to handle each and everyone of them. Drum roll please! Doctor felt that my Gabapentin could be increased in weekly intervals, first week 300, 300, 600, second week 300, 600, 600, and third week 600, 600, 600 that’s all in milligrams, but you knew that. I am on three, three hundreds now, although tonight I will change to the 600. Hubby felt it being a Monday that today would be a good day/night to start. I was also told that I will be going for my annual cranial MRI this month; it was 2-23-12 last year that I had gone, not January and I have to be back in three months to see how it’s all going. When Hubby drove me out of the doc’s office in my black beauty chariot, my wheelchair, but doesn’t that sound nicer? Moving on…he loaded me and then her in, BB chariot, and he got behind the wheel and stuck the key in to start the engine and we both heard not a nice noise, tick, tick, tick, no start up purring sound of the motor turning over… But alas I had smartly added on towing just last June, Silver Bullet, auto and for our boat too, Seas the Day, due to their aging ways…and voila it was with that that Hubby contacted Progressive and within a measurable, but not too long time Prompt Towing was starting our car! (Side note: about Prompt Towing, Hubby remembered them from when he was doing Community Policing that he had set up for them with Walmart to use a part of their parking lot and the Promenades Mall and he gave them a contact at the radio stations to be announced when and what they would be doing and that they were giving away thousands of gifts to children for the holidays at those locations, turning one of their trucks into a sleigh with Santa!) Sadly, though as we sat there waiting for the tow truck with our hood up not one car stopped to help us. Once we were on our way Hubby felt that it was best to go to Sam’s Club where we purchased the battery from and they tested and knew right away that it was the cause of our inconvenience. And so they are supposed to keep all records on file of such sales since we went there not home to not be stuck again, but unfortunately our purchase was one month over their two year limit of their record keeping! Don’t worry, be happy the salesman took Hubby’s word for it, especially when he saw that we just had replaced boat batteries less than two years ago, our tires are from there too but over two years and we have that receipt as well tucked neatly away! And so all was well, battery was replaced with another three years new one and all we had to pay was the $1.61 disposal fee, ta da! While waiting since it was now one thirty we ate at Sam’s, not that bad and reasonable too. Once all fixed I asked to stop by Beall’s Outlet it being Monday and you getting an extra discount on Mondays and all. I needed plain white king pillow cases, and it had been years since I bought any for my legs pillow. Their price was higher than I wanted to spend oddly enough and they did not have all white only ones with colorful trim from the designer. I really did want plain white ones. Hubby wanted his yearly supply of denim shorts, but not the big baggie overly pocketed types, just simple navy jean types and he found two in his size! I saw a pretty blouse in my size and found a pair of slacks to go with it in a light fabric, both that same size and we took them home to try on and amazingly his fit and so did mine! On that note on whatever floats your boat… allow me to be the very first to wish all of you a very happy good night and ask you to kindly count all your blessings and share all those overages with you know who and we will too! And next time please be here or be square, ya hear?
